Thank Him for favour from God that you can be a part of this Great Walk.

Oh! Thank You Lord.
In Jesus’ Mighty Name we have worshiped – Amen.
Let the Volunteers come and take their seats.
Alright! Because we had a wonderful Walk, if you believe God has granted your request; let me hear you shout the loudest Hallelujah – Hallelujah!
We want to discuss ELIJAH this Morning – One of the Greatest Mountain Movers of all.
… And we will take just four (4) Contributions from the Volunteers.

These are Contributions made by the People Daddy GO picked to speak on Lessons learnt from Elijah as a Mountain Mover:
- He was a Product of Mercy: The introduction of him is simply, “Elijah the Tishbite.” By Mercy he rose to become a National Prophet.
As Ministers we must know that we are who we are by the Grace of God – So let’s remain humble.
- Elijah was a Mountain Mover/ Climber: He loved to stay on the Mountain to recharge his Spiritual Battery.
As Ministers create time to recharge your Spiritual Battery to be able to generate Strength.
“They that wait upon the Lord shall renew their Strength.”
- Elijah was an Altar Repairer: When he was before the Prophets of Baal, he repaired the altar to get God’s attention.
As Ministers we must learn to always repair our Altar; get our hearts ready to receive from God.
- Elijah was a Man of Faith (1 Kings 17-19). He was a Man of Prayer and lived by decrees.
As Ministers we must be able Pray in order to be able to move Mountains.

BIBLE STUDY ON ELIJAH BY DADDY GO
- He was an Unknown Man.
1 Kings 17:1: And Elijah the Tishbite, who was of the inhabitants of Gilead, said unto Ahab, As the LORD God of Israel liveth, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my word.
Almost invariably, the People God will make known always start off as Nobodies.
In 1 Corinthians 1:26-29 the Bible makes it clear:
For ye see your Calling, Brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called: But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: That no flesh should glory in his Presence.
I have Good News for you: Before you die, the world will hear about you – Amen.
- Elijah just Disappeared.
Elijah just appeared out of nowhere; the first time we hear his name, he was standing before a King.
He is the first fellow who just disappeared to Heaven.
Because he came from nowhere, he just disappeared.
The kind of Person God will use are the Nobodies like me. And so I qualify. What about you? Are you qualified to be used of God?
It means if you feel you are somebody, before God can make you a Mountain Mover you must reduce to a Nobody – That’s very important!
If you think that you are already somebody, to become a Mountain Mover you have to climb down from your horse.
I’ve told you that one before: When I became General Overseer I had a Nameplate at Ebute-Meta. The Church was small then, my office was an original Aladura, so I wanted People to know I was highly educated.
So I wrote, “Reverend (Dr.) E.A Adeboye. B.Sc, M.Sc, PhD.”
The only title that I did not remember to add is “Empty Barrel”
And God allowed it to be there for two (2) years.
When I was turning 40, he paid me a visit – Knowing I am a Mathematician he spoke by drawing two (2) Graphs:
- He drew a graph like a Valley, head down Parabola.
- He drew another graph like a Hill, head up Parabola.
And in the Valley there is a Turning Point, you begin to climb.
In the hill there is a also a Turning Point, from the topmost point you begin to go up.
At the Turning Point of the two Parabolas, there was the number Forty (40).
He asked me to choose one.
By His Grace somehow I realized and chose the Valley one – The head down Parabola.
You know, when God told Solomon to ask for anything and he asked for Wisdom, it pleased God – When I choose the head down Parabola God said, that’s good!
He said, because you have chosen that at age forty (40); from now on you will be going higher, because there is no limit to how high you can go.
Then He said to me: This your Nameplate goes away today. That your Reverend (Dr.) goes too.
From now on you will be Pastor – My Title for you for the rest of your Life.
… I wish I kept that Nameplate. It disappeared that very day. That’s why I am just Pastor Adeboye.
So if you want to become great you must become small – You must come down from your horse.
The Bible says: Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time. (DMC NOTES: 1 Peter 5:6)
God chooses the People who are Nobodies in other to show us that as far as He is concerned, His everlasting Arms are still underneath us. And He can pick you from the lowest Point to the highest level.
The Eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: and he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee; and shall say, Destroy them. (DMC NOTES: Deuteronomy 33:27)
There was a Man of God in Nigeria – The Father of Pentecostalism in Nigeria (a White Man).
He heard from God in the United Kingdom (UK) to go to Nigeria and ask for a place called Ilesha (Osun State).
He had never heard of the name before then.
When he arrived, People encouraged him to stay in Lagos where he could be reached easily. But he said, God sent me to Ilesha in Osun State.
His name is S.G Elton – He has a Street on the Redemption City of God.
He knew the Bible, he was a Prophet – To be told in England to go to where he did not know at all means he must be hearing from God.
Somebody wrote a Book about him. That man raised me, he raised Archbishop Benson Idahosa (of Blessed Memory), Bishop Wale Oke, Bishop David Oyedepo, amongst other great Men of God.
And it was written, “I have found one amongst these Disciples who will be great, because somehow he has learnt to be humble.”
He was talking about me back then.
He Preached his last Sermon in the very first Auditorium before he died.
How I wish he is here to see what God is doing.
Somebody here or reading this Message now on the Label of DMC (who wants to be a Mountain Mover) is going to be more humble.
Who is that fellow? The DMC Family Members.
Can you say Thank You Jesus!
He chooses the humble, the one who no matter what happens you must remain humble.
- Elijah’s Power is standing before God.
“As the LORD God of Israel liveth, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my word.”
That tells you, you want to be a Mountain Mover? You have to be a real Prayer Warrior – Always in the presence of God.
Because as God begins to empower you and you begin to hear from Him, your Sermon will change – You will be Preaching what He is saying and not your thoughts.
No matter how good you are as a Preacher, when People gather it is His voice they want to hear and not yours.
So, if you don’t spend time before God because you know some Homiletics, you will soon discovered that it is the Spirit that gives Life, for the letter killeth.
Who also hath made us able Ministers of the New Testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life. (DMC NOTES: 2 Corinthians 3:6)
No matter how great your oratory, when you ask the People, what did you gain? “It was a good Sermon.”
But what have you gained? How has your Life changed? Has your Faith been built up?
The People want to hear God, so learn to stay in His Presence.
That is why before every Holy Ghost Service I go to a Secluded Place where I can hear from Him.
The People are here to hear God – Keep that in Mind!
Spend time before Him alone.
And if you spend more time before Him, He will humble you before you come out.
He has a beautiful way of making you realize that without Him you are nothing.
- Elijah had the Master Key
We discover from what Elijah said to Ahab, “As the LORD God of Israel liveth, before whom I stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, but according to my word.”
Meaning, I shut down the Heavens, there will be no rain nor dew until I ask it to rain again.
Because I have been waiting on God, I have the Master Key that can open and shut the Heavens.
And the Bible says you too can have a Divine Master Key if you will satisfy certain conditions.
Read Job 22:21-28, it says;
Acquaint now thyself with him, and be at Peace: thereby good shall come unto thee. Receive, I Pray thee, the law from his mouth, and lay up his words in thine heart. Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee: and the light shall shine upon thy ways.
That’s another way of saying you have a Master Key that you can close and open anything.
Matthew 16:19 says: And I will give unto thee the keys of the Kingdom of Heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on Earth shall be bound in Heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on Earth shall be loosed in Heaven.
Put in Plain Language, what you allow will be allowed, what you forbid shall be forbidden.
So when I decree that before this Convention is over all your Mountains will be gone (Amen) I am using my Master Key.
… And maybe we will talk more about that when we come to Elisha.
If we say that certain things should not happen, in the Mighty Name of Jesus they won’t happen – Amen.
A renowned Man of God was creating waves with his Miracle and those in Authority didn’t like him. So they sent Bulldozers to destroy his Church.
The first man entered the bulldozer, he was brought down paralysed.
The second man too was brought down paralysed.
The third Person became wise and ran away.
I decree, anybody who wants to destroy your family land will be Paralysed – Amen.
When they reported the matter to their Oga at the top, he sent a message to the Man of God that he will Personally supervise the demolition on Thursday.
And the Man of God said, that is if he lives up to Thursday – The man actually died before that day.
I decree, anyone who wants to destroy your Possession will not live to do it – Amen.
… Elijah had a Master Key; and you have the Key too.
- Elijah acted immediately on what God said.
In 1 Kings 18:41-50, the Bible says: And Elijah said unto Ahab, Get thee up, eat and drink; for there is a Sound of Abundance of rain.
So Ahab went up to eat and to drink. And Elijah went up to the top of Carmel; and he cast himself down upon the earth, and put his face between his knees, And the hand of the LORD was on Elijah; and he girded up his loins, and ran before Ahab to the entrance of Jezreel.
So many things happened there:
Before he began to Pray, he announced to Ahab, “Get thee up, eat and drink; for there is a Sound of Abundance of rain.”
The moment you hear God speak to you, don’t wait before doing what is needed for the actualization of the Prophecy.
Let me give you an example: The Lord spoke to me at a time when one Military Head of State followed another Military Head of State: “Son, very soon Presidents will be coming here to worship.”
I told my children then, they laughed: “What are you talking about? You mean one Military Head of State would come and worship in this jungle?”
I don’t mind being laughed at.
If you begin to hear God speak, get ready for ridicule, because they will ridicule you.
I told them, if God says a President will worship here, let’s build a Presidential Palace – They looked at me.
Thank God in the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), we don’t vote; else they would have voted me out.
Anyway, we went ahead to build a Presidential Palace – The first year, no President came, Second year, third year, no President came. There was even a change of Government.
My children met and said, no President is coming, it’s like Daddy needed a befitting house – He’s our “President ” let him move in to the Presidential Palace and live there as our President.
Miracles that People will not believe when Prophesied, may God send them to you – Amen.
Our friend Elijah told the King, begin to go back home because the rain is coming. And he ran a Marathon.
That’s very important! He ran a marathon from Mount Camel to Jezreel.
We must know that the race to Heaven is not a Sprint, it’s a Marathon.
The Bible makes it clear in Hebrews 12:1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
There are those of you thinking of going to Heaven – You are not going yet because you have not finished your course.
- How many of your Colleagues have you brought to God?
- How many of your friends and family Members have you brought to God?
You are not going anywhere yet!
I remembered years ago, there was a King in Ijebu Igbo, a friend of mine. He was sick and he sent for me and my wife. He said, “E.A” – we were very close. He said, I think I will be going Home. I said, which Home? (Laughing)
He said, E.A this is not a joking matter.
Then I asked: How many Kabiyesi have you brought to God? Do you think God saved you for fun? He said you are to bring forth fruits according to your kind.
And God said, Let the Earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so. (DMC NOTES: Genesis 1:11)
And he said, there’s none.
I asked him, have you friends? He said yes, and began to mention names. I said we will start from there.
I decree today, until you have finished your Assignment you will not die – Amen.
… It is a decree it’s not a Prayer. I won’t lie to you.
- You are a Lawyer, how many Lawyers have you brought to God?
- You are an Engineer, how many Engineers have you brought to God?
- You are a great Businessman, how many Businessmen have you brought to God?
- You are the Chairman of a Bank, how many Bank Chairmen have you brought to God?
So I told the King, if you have not done anything like that I refuse you from going Home.
He said, what am I going to do? I said Sickness, get away! Before I left the room he was up. And he said, I am ready, but you have to go with me.
I had plenty of time back then – We headed to Abeokuta, Ife, et cetera. After he had won some Traditional Rulers for Christ he said, can I go Home now?
Grudgingly I said, maybe I’ll let you go.
And he made a decree before he died – That’s a secret!
You have the Master Key, so make sure Salvation comes to your People.
- Elijah became Discouraged (by a Woman).
Elijah came down from the Mountain and Jezebel said, “I will kill you for lives of my Prophets you killed.”
The Man of God became afraid and discouraged.
The greatest enemy a man can have, apart from himself is a woman.
I have heard different Preachings about Samson:
Some said he should have stayed on the Hill – Saying it was when he came down that he saw Delilah, and he died.
If I have opportunity, I will say that Delilah did not kill Samson, he was already dead: A Man of God that was already visiting harlots.
All that Delilah did was to Prepare him for burial.
This was a man who carried the gate of a City to the Mountain from the house of a harlot.
If you claim to be a Man of God while still committing Adultery, may God have Mercy on you!
You may still be Performing Miracles and wonders; so be careful.
- Remember, long after electricity has gone, the fan will still be rotating. Is that not so?
- Long after electricity has gone, the water in the fridge will still be cold. Right?
That you are Performing Miracle does not mean God is still with you.
Delilah Prepared Samson for burial.
She asked clearly: “Strong man, tell me how you can be tormented.”
… If you are not dead, you will know.
But when Elijah heard that Jezebel was coming he ran. And then God intervened.
In 1 Kings 19:4-8 the Bible says:
But he himself went a day’s journey into the wilderness, and came and sat down under a juniper tree: and he requested for himself that he might die; and said, It is enough; now, O LORD, take away my life; for I am not better than my fathers. And as he lay and slept under a juniper tree, behold, then an angel touched him, and said unto him, Arise and eat. And he looked, and, behold, there was a cake baken on the coals, and a cruse of water at his head. And he did eat and drink, and laid him down again. And the angel of the LORD came again the second time, and touched him, and said, Arise and eat; because the journey is too great for thee. And he arose, and did eat and drink, and went in the strength of that meat forty days and forty nights unto Horeb the mount of God.
Take Note of this very Passage very very well – God never abandons His own.
When you are at the lowest point of your Life, and it looks as if God has forsaken you, to the extent that this great Man of God said to God, “Kill me, I don’t want this idol worshiper Jezebel to kill me.”
*God does not kill His own.
If you ever find yourself so low in this long journey to Heaven, that you are beginning to think ‘death is better than shame’ don’t kill yourself. Because God will never bury His own.

Always remember: Underneath you are His Everlasting Arms – You cannot reach the Ground if God’s arms are underneath you.
The Almighty God will send help to you – Amen.
Elijah was discouraged, yet God was even feeding him (twice) – The first Meal was for him to regain his Physical Strength. And after he ate God allowed him to sleep.
God fed him the second time – By the time the second Meal came, all of a sudden Elijah realized; He gave me the first Meal through Ravens. He fed me through a widow; Now, even when I’ve failed, it is even His Angel that cooked for me. Not once, twice. So, I am not going to die.
All of you feeling discouraged, remember: God does not bury his wounded Soldiers.
I am Praying for all of you who are discouraged beyond help: the Almighty God will send help to you – Amen.
The Bible says in 2 Kings 1-15: And they answered him, He was an hairy man, and girt with a girdle of leather about his loins. And he said, It is Elijah the Tishbite. Then the king sent unto him a captain of fifty with his fifty. And he went up to him: and, behold, he sat on the top of an hill. And he spake unto him, Thou man of God, the king hath said, Come down. And Elijah answered and said to the captain of fifty, If I be a man of God, then let fire come down from heaven, and consume thee and thy fifty. And there came down fire from heaven, and consumed him and his fifty. And he sent again a captain of the third fifty with his fifty. And the third captain of fifty went up, and came and fell on his knees before Elijah, and besought him, and said unto him, O man of God, I pray thee, let my life, and the life of these fifty thy servants, be precious in thy sight. And the angel of the LORD said unto Elijah, Go down with him: be not afraid of him. And he arose, and went down with him unto the king.
That’s when there was a misunderstanding between Elijah and one King.
Not every mountain is meant to be removed – There are some Mountains you sit upon and rain down fire.
Elijah was sitting on that Mountain, the enemies said, come down from that Mountain. And he said, If I be a Man of God, then let fire come down from Heaven, and consume thee and thy fifty.
In other words, since I am on this Mountain and you want me to come down, you will go down for my sake.
You know another word for Fasting is being on the Mountain.
There are Mountains you climb; not necessarily Physically – It may be Spiritual.
And when you are on that Mountain, you remain a terror to the enemy.
You may not leave your room – From your room you can rain down fire on forces of Darkness.
The ability to stay in the Presence of God; the ability to remain on the Mountain Top of Fasting and Prayer, may God give it to you today – Amen.
God can Perform Mighty Miracles if you are accustomed to the Mountain of Fasting and Prayer.
In our first year here in this Camp, before the first Convention that was held here, we dug a bit of the hole to be able to come from the expressway to the Camp, and put a little culvert: so that we can cross over from the expressway to our side here.
Some People said, what are you doing? And they reported us to the Federal Ministry of Works. They came, saw what we did, “What are you trying to do?” And they told us to remove it. What! Remove the culvert?
Well, I knew Nobody in the Ministry of Works but in the Ministry of Heaven I know Someone.
So I went to my Prayer Room and began to talk to God.
The Federal Ministry of Works came with bulldozers and other machines – Just to remove culvert.
The day they came the carpenters were with me, building the very first Auditorium by the Expressway.
The People from the Federal Ministry of Works put all their bulldozers and other machines to remove the culvert, the culvert refused to be removed. Hallelujah!
… Because I cried to the Almighty God.
I decree before I allow you to Pray: Every Force that will want to hinder your Ministry will Fail – Amen!
I want you to go to your Hilltop like Elijah. Go to the Almighty God and say:
Lord, You who kept on giving Victory upon Victory to Elijah, beginning from now, begin to give me Victory upon Victory.
Don’t forget to give God His Offering before you go.
