Almighty God, we give You all Glory, we give You all Honour, we give You Adoration. Accept our Worship in Jesus’ Name.

Father, on this Special Day: in the lives of everyone here (or reading) do something New! Answer prayers today! Let there be Miracles today! Save souls today! Heal the sick today! Make the barren Fruitful today! Set the captives free today! Let there be Breakthroughs today!

In the lives of ALL these Your children, let this be a day we would never forget! By the time we finish here this morning, let everyone of us sing a New Song!

BIBLE TEXT: Psalm 102:13

… And while you are opening your Bibles, I want to say: God bless you all your Majesties; thank you for coming. The Almighty God will prosper your Kingdom. And it will be well with you – Amen!

“Thou shalt arise, and have mercy upon Zion: for the time to favour her, yea, the set time, is come.”

… Tell your neighbour: my Time has come at LAST!

A couple of Sundays ago, I was in one (1) of the Parishes under you (Lagos Province 5) and your Pastor-In-Charge of Province was there. And he said: Daddy, you Promised you were going to visit us! I have written, I have asked; and you have not come ( Laughter!).

I said, I will come! He said: you want me to write again? I said, write again (laughter!).

So he wrote again. And I said: so this boy will let me rest, I better go to him. Even though I already had an appointment today, I said I would go to that appointment, be quick! And come here, and be quick.

Why? Because the TIME for somebody has COME!

You see, the Bible says that God has a Time Table for EVERYTHING.

Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 made it clear: For everything there is a Season! There is a time to every Purpose under the Heavens. God does everything according to His Time Table!

As a matter of fact, when Jesus Christ rose from the dead, and the Disciples were excited; they wanted to go and tell the whole world: “He is RISEN!” – He said, NO! Hold on, there is an “Appointed Time” before you can begin to talk.

In Luke 24:49, He said: “Tarry!”

That means, wait until a particular TIME. And that particular Time came in Acts 2:1-4. The Bible says: when the day of Pentecost was fully come; not Partially come but FULLY COME! And then the Holy Spirit came and released them to go do the Work of God.

Somebody has been Praying for Breakthrough. Somebody has been Praying for Healing. Somebody has been Praying for the Fruit of the Womb. Somebody has been Praying for Promotion. Somebody has been Praying for the Favour of God. And it appears as if God is not listening.

NO! God was waiting for TODAY – Amen!

I have no doubt in my mind at all, that for someone here this morning (or reading now): “Your DAY has Finally COME” – Amen!

When your day finally comes, God usually will either send His High Priest or His Prophet or an Angel. Or He could come Himself!

At times, He could send your friends.

I’m going to pick each one (1) quickly. Am not going to be long. In the next ten (10) minutes am going to be done (as I will be on my way to another appointment!)

1. He could SEND HIS HIGH PRIEST:

1 Samuel 1:1-20, was talking about Hannah. For years, Hannah had been going to Shiloh. She would go, she would pray; God help me, give me a child. You can see the way the other woman in my husband’s house is tormenting me. When will my Time come?

Then one (1) day, as she was Praying; for the first time (in all the years) the HIGH PRIEST NOTICED HER!

The High Priest thought she was drunk. Then she said to the High Priest: if am drunk at all, probably am drunk of sorrow. Because she must have been wondering: God, You have answered others, what about me!

And the High Priest said, alright! You want a child? Ok you have gotten one.

You see, the High Priest occupies a very special position. He is an ordinary human being like everybody else, but he is the only one who can come into the Place called “THE HOLY OF HOLIES”.

There is a Place in the Presence of God, where only the High Priest can go. If any other fellow goes there, the fellow will be brought out dead!

But the High Priest can go in and come out!

So occasionally when the day for someone has come, God could send the High Priest. And what they used to call the High Priest in those days, is what we call GENERAL OVERSEER today!

… So for someone here today (or reading); God has sent to you His HIGH PRIEST – Amen!

STORY

Some of you have heard me tell the story (it is not something am manufacturing now), You have heard it before!

In 1981, I had just become General Overseer. So I was visiting our Churches. And then I visited this Church in Ilesha (Osun State – Nigeria). Finished the Service, and came out, waiting for the driver to bring my car. And there was this young man who was coming towards me – Prostrating, Getting Up (repeatedly). And I was wondering, what is the problem? He got close to me, dropped something in my pocket and began to run. When I saw the way he was behaving when he came towards me; I quickly checked what he dropped, to be sure it is not a bomb (Laughter!) And it was a Fifty (50) Kobo Note.

… In those days, Nigerian Naira was so powerful, Fifty (50) Kobo had a Note.

So I called him back; what is going on? He said, they told me the General Overseer is coming. What can I give him? This is all I have left. He said, it might be an insult to you, that is why I was running. I said, No Problem; I will spend this money myself. And from the bottom of my heart I said: “GOD BLESS YOU!”

The following year, I was back in the same Church. And I saw the same young man coming, smiling brightly. He said: Daddy, last year I even has no job. But after you said “GOD BLESS YOU”, I decided to start “COACHING CLASSES”. At least I can coach. And they were bringing children to me to coach them. And suddenly the children I coached were doing so well in school and everybody began to ask: How come? He said, you know what? Today I have my own School.

The High Priest is visiting somebody today! By this time Next Year, you will be sharing your Testimonies – Amen!

1. And God can SEND His Prophet:

1 Samuel 16:1-13; the Almighty God decided that He wanted a New King – as He was forsaking King Saul, He wanted a New Replacement.

So He sent Samuel His Prophet to the house of a man called Jesse.

He told Jesse, God wants me to Anoint a King, so bring your sons. Jesse began to bring his Sons; starting with the tallest – his firstborn. And Samuel said, this is the one; God said, he’s NOT the one! No.1 to No.7; God kept saying “he’s NOT the one!”

So the Man of God said, are these all your sons? The father said: Ooh, there’s one more – he is in the bush. You know, he is not the kind of person you can make king. The Man of God said again: we won’t sit down until you bring that one that you say, is not fit.

And so, David was in the bush looking after sheep. And somebody came and say: David! He said, Yes! They want you at home. He said, why? One fellow who looks like a Prophet is in our house; he said they should go and bring you. And they brought him, and God said: This is THE ONE!

You know, when a Prophet comes; what is Special about a Prophet and makes him a little different from a High Priest; is that a Prophet hears from God directly. Once a while, he hears from God. And when you hear from God, and you announce it: you know the Word of God is forever settled.

… So, they brought David in. And the Man of God said: Ah, from today onwards, you are KING!

Am not claiming to be a Prophet (laughs) but you are my witnesses that I hear from God once in a while. Not like some people who calls themselves Prophet. But I do hear from Him once a while. And I have heard from Him today!

… And what I have heard from Him today is that: “The time for somebody has come” – Amen!

TESTIMONY

We were having a Program – a Holy Ghost Rally. And there was somebody there – a young man. And the problem in the family of that young man is that, whenever a woman is pregnant in that family, and is going to give birth to a son; the father of that baby that is coming must die before the baby is born. No boy ever came to the family meeting his dad alive! And he has reached the age now; he is already married. And he is wondering: what is going to happen to me now, if my wife should conceive a boy?

Suddenly God spoke to me and said, there is someone here: the curse in your family that is troubling you now, God asked me to tell you, the curse is broken. The young man said, Ah! God has remembered me, that must be me. And the wife became pregnant and gave birth to a boy. Became pregnant again and gave birth to a boy. Became pregnant the third time, gave birth to a boy.

I have come today on behalf of my Father in the Lord (my GOD Himself). He says: “TODAY IS YOUR DAY” – Amen!

And may I take the liberty to say that, if there is any curse in anyone’s family: that curse is broken today – Amen!

1. Then God can send His Angel:

In Judges 13:1-25; the Bible talked about a certain family -The family of Manoah. They have been barren for a long time. And God wanted to send a message to them, to say: a very Special Boy is about to be born (whose name would be Samson). So an Angel came to speak with the woman.

Now, when an Angel is coming to you, don’t think he will come with wings (laughs). I have seen Angels before, let me tell you the truth: when you see an Angel (it doesn’t matter who you are) you will be afraid! They are not the small, small babies (with Wing) that you see.

… If you see something like a baby with Wings and they call it an Angel; that’s a Demon!

You want to know how an Angel is? If you live in Lagos (Nigeria), you will know the Plane called 747. An Angel can carry it in his hands. So that will tell you how big an Angel is.

So, if you suddenly see somebody as big as that (it doesn’t matter who you are) you will be frightened!

So the first thing an Angel would say to you (if he id an Angel) is: FEAR NOT! He would say: Calm down!

So when God wants to send an Angel to you (in order not to frighten you) He will put that Angel in the shape of a man; make the Angel look like somebody you can relate to. And then, the Angel can deliver his message.

STORY

For example, there was this case (some of you also know): a man was barren because he had zero sperm count. You know, when there is a problem of unfruitfulness, then you go to the hospital and check. They may say the sperm count of the man is low. And so they give you drugs to build it up. But this man, his own count is zero. There is nothing to build up (the thing there is ordinary water).

And then he came to the Holy Ghost Service; and suddenly God spoke and say: there’s someone here: Your sperm count is zero. He is going to do something about it. By this time next year, you will come rejoicing with your baby. Ah! The man said: How can God know the details about me? That was Friday night!

Then he went home. Saturday morning, he dozed off (in the Sitting Room). And while he was sleeping, suddenly (according to his Testimony) he saw me passed in their Sitting Room. I looked at him (according to him) and I waved to him, and I left! When he woke up, he said: Ah! God has visited me.

… An Angel visited him. But the Angel had to look like somebody he knows. So that he will not be afraid.

Today, an Angel is visiting somebody: and that impossibility in your life is going to become possible – Amen!

1. And then, God can come Himself:

In John 5:2-9; the Bible tells us about a Place – the Pool of Bethesda; where the sick could go (because this Pool was there) and once a year, an Angel would come, stir the Pool. The first fellow to jump in (after the Angel had left) would be the one to get Miracle.

But a man had been there for thirty eight (38) years! Each time the Angel came; and he is trying to get in, somebody would get in before him – Thirty eight (38) years; he tried and failed.

So when God decided, Ok this man has suffered enough. He didn’t send an Angel; He came Himself! He went to the man and said: Oga, you have been here for a long time, would you like to be made whole? And the man was beginning to tell stories. Eh! When I first came here, my friends were ready to help me. When we failed several times, they have all deserted me.

And God said, I am not asking for your history. I know your history! I am just here to tell you: “YOUR TIME HAS COME” – That’s all!

He told the man: Get up! Carry your bed and go!

Do you know that there are some people who have been struggling with problems here (or reading) for a long time? In the Name that is above every other names; before you get home today (or finish reading this message) you will know the problem is gone – Amen!

In Genesis 18:1-14; God had been Promising Abraham: I will do this, I will do that – and nothing happened! Until God Himself paid him a visit. And when God paid him a visit, he invited God to come and eat; and God accepted to eat. By the time God finished eating, the Miracle happened.

STORY

Some years ago, I was visiting a town called Houston (in United States of America). And there was this young couple that I had known for a long time (the man was one of my little boys working with me since the 1970s). But now they are dwelling in America, and God has blessed them.

I just looked at them and said: Am coming to your house to eat. Ah! They were excited (because I don’t go to people’s houses to eat). I said, it’s a private visit; am coming quietly, because we have been friends for a long time, I will eat and go. Ok Sir!

I got there, and I found four (4) women. I asked them, I told you am coming quietly. Ah! These four (4) are to help us cook (laughter). What kind of food am I going to eat that you need four (4) women to join your wife and cook?

Anyway, I eat (I didn’t know they had a Plan). As soon as I finished eating, the four (4) women (who had been barren for a long time) took turn in sitting on my chair. And the following year, three (3) of them has already carried their babies. The fourth one was six (6) months pregnant.

… Because on that day, it wasn’t me alone that went to visit; God Himself paid them a visit.

Today, in this particular Parish God is visiting you today – Amen!

1. God could use human beings to bring you to Himself:

Like some people came today, they were invited! And when they were been invited, they didn’t know they were being invited to keep an “Appointment with Destiny!”

They didn’t know. They just said, well, they say the General Overseer (GO) is coming and they asked me to come to the Church. Alright, let’s go!

Because when you read Mark 2:1-12; Jesus Christ was in a house teaching. And there was this man who was paralysed from neck downward. And his friends said, you are going to Church today! We are taking you.

Because he was paralysed from neck downward, he couldn’t even struggle. Even if he didn’t want to go, he was helpless. So four (4) boys who were his friends carried him. They came to where Jesus Christ was – the Place was jammed. No room by the door, no room by the window. So he said to them; you see now, you should have left me at home. Now you have exposed me to everybody. They said: You? You will see Jesus today!

So they climbed to the roof, tore the roof and lowered the man into the Presence of Jesus Christ. Jesus looked at him and said; alright, take your bed and go!

… They carried him in; but he left on his own!

STORY

I have always told the story of one chief; a High Chief in Ondo State – Nigeria (I don’t want to mention his name).

I think suddenly, for one reason or the other, he became paralysed from waist downward. Very rich Man; I mean, when I visited his house in Ondo town; it’s a mansion with thirty nine (39) rooms. So you will have a rough idea of the kind of person he was.

So, they took him to the best hospital in Ondo State and after lot of going up and down; doctors tried this, they tried that. After six (6) Months, one day the Chief Medical Officers came to him: he took a very long sharp pin, he said Chief; he said, Sir. He said, watch me. They took the pin, plunged it to his thigh – till the pin is almost disappearing all the way. He said, Chief do you feel anything? He said nothing! He said, go home; there is nothing anybody can do to help you. Just go home and enjoy your children till your day comes. And they brought him back to Ondo.

And one little girl working in his house; a member of the Church said to him: Papa, if only you can get to Redemption Camp, my father in the Lord will pray for you, something will happen (laughs). A little girl got me into trouble. Anyway! So the old man agreed, and he came! Four (4) people carried him into my sitting room. A very big man (hefty). He walked out himself!

Because I just told him something: Chief, give your life to Jesus. Because the Bible says if the Spirit of Him that raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you; that same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead will quickened your mortal bodies. Let the Lord Jesus come in, and He will do the work from within.

How did I get to the Redeemed Christian Church of God?

Some of you probably don’t know the story: I was born in the Anglican Communion (and I enjoyed been there) up to today, I thank God for my legacy. My father was a Lay Reader. My mother was a Leader in her own Club. I have been in the Choir since 1952.

But then I came to Lagos, somebody invited me to the CAC, I went there and I liked their singing and their dancing. And the CAC they taught me how to fast – you will fast and you become like a broomstick (laughter). But after five (5) months, the man who took me to CAC said he is leaving. I was just enjoying myself. Well, I said if you leave, good. I will go back to my Anglican Communion.

But this man who brought me to CAC employed my stepbrother. He is the employer of my stepbrother. He is a very tough man! So he went to the Redeemed Christian Church of God, and took my stepbrother along. I didn’t follow, I refused to follow.

But one day, my stepbrother said: you know my Oga, he can because of you get angry with me. Please (so that I don’t loose my job), or do you have a job you can give me? I said, NO! I have none. Then come with us. I said alright, I will come this time. But if he leaves again, am not.

He said: just come! That was the day I set my feet into the Redeemed Christian Church of God. I never left! I never left because the one who invited me was bringing me to my Destiny.

The one who invited you today has brought you to keep an Appointment with DESTINY!

CONCLUSION: God can come to your house, and knock at the door and you may not open the door to Him.

Revelation 3:20 says: “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hears my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with Him, and He with me.”

Meaning what? If He knocks and you don’t open the door, the Almighty God Himself will not force you to open the door. The door we are talking about here is your heart.

Someone once asked me: If your God is the Almighty God (like you say He is); why does He have to wait for me to open the door? Why doesn’t He just kick the door open and come in?

I say, He is not an armed robber. He is a gentleman, He will knock!

If you say, come into my life, then He will come. If you say: I don’t want You. No problem, He will go.

He will go because He knows that a day is coming, when you too will knock at His door. And He will say I wanted to come in you said NO. Now you want to come to my house; No way!

Do you know why upon all we are doing on the Earth it doesn’t fight back? It is because it knows that a day is coming when it would swallow you (laugher). So God is sitting quietly in Heaven waiting.

He will not force you to do anything, because He knows that at the end of the day, you are coming to Him. And He will then decide whether to open the door of Heaven to you. Or He says, you can’t come in; there is another place where the door is never shut – they call it Hell.

STORY

When I was a small boy, we live in a house (in my village); you know I have told you before, my father was so poor that poor people called him poor. So our house in the village had no window because of thieves. It has only one door. So the rooms are dark (during the day time). If you want to search for anything in the room (some of the elders know what I am talking about) you need a lamp.

Any time I offended my father, I will run into the room; because I know he can’t see me in there. And he doesn’t follow me inside. You know what he does? He takes his seat and sit at the door (laughter!) He knows sooner or later, something will bring me out.

There’s something called hunger! Hide in the room, no problem. Here, am sitting down.

God is sitting down quietly in Heaven. He knows that something will bring you to Him one day! Sooner or later, we will leave this world. If you do not belong to Him when you leave here, get ready for trouble! But if you belong to Him, if you surrender to Him, when the time comes for you to leave this world, He made a Promise, He said I will come for you myself and I will lead you home.

That’s why David said; Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear? NO EVIL. Why? For thou art with me.

Today is the day! The day of Salvation. Don’t miss this opportunity.

Well, maybe I will give my life to Jesus Christ when you come again. Come Again? Do you know how many Churches are in Lagos alone? We have more than four thousand (4,000) Parishes in Lagos. So if I am visiting one (1) every Sunday, do you think your turn will ever come again soon (laughter)?

ALTAR CALL

But you have today! If you have not yet surrendered your life to the Lord Jesus Christ, don’t miss this opportunity. There may never be another one. So am going to count from one (1) to seven (7): alright, I know this is the day of my Salvation. And I want to surrender my life to Jesus Christ. Come and stand before me. Then I will pray, and ask Jesus to save your soul. If by time I say seven (7) you haven’t come, no problem! We will pray and I will be on my way. But then you won’t be able to blame God that He didn’t give you an opportunity.

Come now! Am counting…

Oh! You say what will people say? What will they say, when you have to go to Heaven or Hell without their assurance? Come, it’s the Lord calling you. The choice is yours. He won’t force you at all. Don’t miss this opportunity. This is your day of Salvation. Tomorrow may be too late. Hurry up!

Ok! Now those of you who are already in front (and if anyone is still coming) pray the same Prayer as you come: Talk to Lord Jesus, tell Him please have Mercy on me. Save my soul today, forgive all my sins. From now on, I will serve you. Come and be my Lord, come and be my Saviour. And I will do Your Will for the rest of my life.

And the rest of us, please let us stretch our hands toward these our brothers and sisters, and intercede for them. Pray that the One who saved our own souls will save their own souls also; intercede for them Brethren, pray for them.

Those of you in front talk to Jesus Christ: Have Mercy on me, save my soul, forgive all my sins, and I will serve you for the rest of my life. I will serve You! Just save my soul today.

… If anyone still wants to come, you can come now, before it is too late. Because am about to Pray now.

Thank You Father! In Jesus Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen.

PRAYER FOR SALVATION

Almighty God I just want to THANK YOU for Your Words. Thank You for bringing me here today. Thank You for Your Promise that whosoever will come unto You, You will in no wise cast out. These people have come, because their day of salvation has come. Please receive them in Jesus’ Name. Forgive all their sins in Jesus’ Name.

Let Your Blood wash them clean. Save their souls Lord. Write their names in the “Book of Life”. Accept them into the Family of God. And I Pray Lord God Almighty that any time they call on You: You will answer them by Fire. Give them a New Beginning Lord. And let them serve You till the end.

In Jesus Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen!

… Now those of you who have come forward, let me hear you shout hallelujah – Hallelujah!

I’m rejoicing with you; because from now on by the Special Grace of God, I will be praying for you. Very soon you will be receiving some Miracles you have not even asked for. Then you will know there is somebody somewhere praying for you – that somebody will be me.

That’s a Promise! And so am going to need your names, your address, your prayers requests. The Counsellors will collate and give me a copy. And I Promise you, I will be praying for you. Ok? That’s a Promise!

… I want you to stay where you are right now. Because I want you to be part of the Prayers we are about to pray.

The rest of us, do you believe that today is the day God will answer your Prayers? Then stand on your feet and shout hallelujah – Hallelujah!

When God is visiting, it is an individual affair. In the story I told you, about the man who was sick for thirty eight (38) years; the Bible says Jesus healed him and left the Place (there were multitude there). But He came for one (1) person.

So the prayer you are about to Pray now is not for everybody – it is for you. So you will forget the fellow on your right, forget the fellow on your left. And focus on God and God alone!

Lift your voice to Him loud and clear; say: Father, today is my DAY. ANSWER MY PRAYERS TODAY!

Go ahead talk to Him: And tell Him what you want Him to do for you.

… TODAY IS MY DAY, ANSWER MY PRAYERS TODAY!
