OPENING PRAYER
Almighty God, we want to say Thank You – Thank You for bringing us to yet another Thanksgiving Sunday.
We can never Thank You enough for all what You have done for us but we will keep on saying the little we can.
By Your Grace, we will not just Thank You by our words alone; our lives will keep on Thanking You, our Actions will Thank You because You have been extremely Good to us.
Thank You for Life, Thank You for Preservation, Thank You Health, Thank You for Strength, Thank You for Your Divine Wisdom, Thank You for Divine Revelations, Thank You for Your Faithfulness Oh Lord – Please accept our Worship in Jesus Name.
My Father and my God, once again we want to commit all Your children who has been Faithful in the Payment of their Tithes, in the Giving of their Offerings, in the Winning of Souls, in the Following them Up even in this “Critical Moment” – We commit them all into Your Hands, Father Please bless them, bless them beyond measures, bless them so much Lord that they will say: God, this is too much.
Let it be well with them.
And Lord, we Pray that if You delay Your Coming; by this time Next Month when we gather to Thank You again – All the Problems that we are facing individually, as families, as Nations will be over.
Thank You my Father. Glory be to Your Holy Name.
In Jesus Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen.
Now, let somebody shout Hallelujah – Hallelujah!
We ask that you Please be seated.
This is another Thanksgiving Sunday and I hope that you will spend “Quality Time” Praising the Almighty God – For His Goodness, for His Mercy, for His Support.
Today, we want to look very briefly at Psalms 50:23.
We will be brief so that you can have Plenty of time to Praise the Almighty God because He deserves to be Praised.
BIBLE TEXT: PSALMS 50:23
Whoso offereth Praise Glorifieth Me; and to him that ordereth his conversation aright will I shew the Salvation of God.
The God that we serve has many Attributes – All of them very, very Significant:
- He is known as “THE ALMIGHTY” – That He has Power to do “Absolutely Anything”!
- He is “THE ALPHA AND OMEGA” – He has No Beginning, He has No Ending because He is the Beginning and definitely He will also be the Ending.
- “His LOVE” – Not just loving but “LOVE ITSELF”.
His Love is so Great that He gave us His Only Begotten Son.
But Probably, one of the Most Significant Attributes of this our God is His SOVEREIGNTY!
Psalms 115:3 says that: Our God is in Heavens, He does as He Pleases.
Nebuchadnezzar himself (A very Great King) in his days said in Daniel 4:35.
He said: God is “The Original Majesty”
He said: He does as He Will in the Army of Heavens, He does as He Will among the Inhabitants of the Earth and there is no one who can Stay His Hands, no one can tell Him what doest thou?
Deuteronomy 32:39 says: He can kill and He can make alive.
1 Samuel 2: 6-7 says: He can send to the grave and He can bring out of the grave; He can make Poor or He can make Rich; He can bring Low or He can Lift Up.
Numbers 16: 23-34 shows us that: He can even bury People alive.
And John 11: 39-45 tells us that: He can bring the dead out of the Grave even if he has been there for four (4) days!
When you talk about “THE ORIGINAL MAJESTY”; we are talking about our God!
… He does as He Pleases!
Now the Bible says in Ephesians 2: 4-6 that: He is “Rich in Mercy”
When we are talking about His Wealth:
- Forget about Silver and Gold – He owns them all.
- Forget about all the Crude Oils in the whole world – He owns them all.
- He said: The Earth is Mine, and the Fullness thereof
I. He owns all the Animals in the bush.
II. He owns all the Birds in the air.
III. He owns all the Fishes in the ocean.
But He is “Rich in Mercy” – No King can come close to Him when we talk about Mercy.
However, as Rich as He is in Mercy; He still retains “His Sovereignty” because in Romans 9: 15-18; He made it abundantly clear: “I will show Mercy on whom I will show Mercy and Compassion on whom I will show Compassion”.
As Rich as I am in Mercy, I still decides who will get the Mercy!
WHY SHOULD I PRAISE HIM TODAY?
Because according to Lamentations 3: 22-23; it is because He has extended His Mercy to you – That is why you are still Alive!
It is of the Mercy of the Lord that we are not consumed!
The Consumer has been going round the world but because He extended His Mercy to you; the Consumer has jumped over your family.
So, that you are still alive today is because this “Sovereign God” who is “Rich in Mercy” decided to extend His Mercy to you.
When you read Daniel 4 – The entire Chapter; you will see the “Extended Mercy” to Nebuchadnezzar who is another Great King.
He humbled him for seven (7) Years, restored him to his throne, added to him some “Excellent Majesty”.
But by the time you get to Daniel Chapter 5; and if you read the whole Chapter; you will discovered that the son of King Nebuchadnezzar did not get that kind of Mercy – He misbehaved and before the following day he was dead.
My Beloveth (including all those reading on the Label of DMC); you are alive today because God chooses to be Merciful unto you!
Apart from the fact that He says: If you want to enjoy His Mercy, you too must be Merciful.
Which means that you have a lot of job to do to make sure that you tell others about His Mercy.
… That you Witness, you win Souls; that you have Compassion on others so that they won’t go to Hell!
… You have a lot to do!
But in the Bible Text that I read to you this morning; He said: If you Glorify Me, I will show you my Way to Salvation – You offer Praise to Me, you are Glorifying Me.
He said: If you order your conversations aright, if you use your mouth Properly; He said I will show you the Salvation of the Lord!
You know that the Bible says in Proverbs 18:21.
It says: Death and Life is in the Power of the tongue.
How you use your tongue will decide whether you die or you live.
David said in Psalms 34: 1-4 that: I will bless the Lord at all times. His Praise shall continually be in my mouth.
… And then He says: I will be delivered from all my fears.
If I use my tongue not to complain, not to grumble, not to backbite, not to lie, not to spread fake News but if I use my tongue to bless the Lord at all times – I will be delivered from all my fears.
You Praise Him appropriately, He will show you the way to go out of Lockdown; He will show you the way out of death; He will show you the way out of Hell!
Pharaoh on the other hand said in Exodus 5: 1-2.
He said: Who is the Lord: I don’t know Him; I am not going to obey Him.
God said: In that case, I will show you that you are Nothing and He drowned him.
Beloveth (including those reading on the Label of DMC), this morning and for the rest of your life; I want to encourage you to offer Praise to Him, to Glorify Him, to order your Conversations aright – So that He will continue to show you the way of His Salvation.
ALTAR CALL
And those of you who are yet to give your Life to Jesus Christ even as you are reading on the Label of DMC; maybe the first (1st) thing you can do with your mouth today is to say: Lord I surrender to You – Save my Soul and I will Praise You, I will use my mouth to Praise You for the rest of my Life. I will tell the whole world about Your Mercy that brought Salvation to the whole world.
So, wherever you are now or reading now on the Label of DMC and you want to give your Life to Jesus Christ – Will you Please now bow down your head and cry out to Him.
Those of you who are already allowed to be in your Places of Worship move very quickly to the Altar.
And those of you who are still at home; you too can now begin to talk to the Almighty God – You say: Lord, Please save my Soul and I will serve You for the rest of my Life.
And the rest of us; let us use our mouths to intercede for all these People who are surrendering their lives to Jesus Christ.
Let us Pray that the One who saved our Souls will save their own Souls also.
Let us do that for a few Seconds.
In Jesus Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen.
PRAYER OF SALVATION AND CLOSING PRAYER.
Almighty God, thou “The Original Majesty” we worship You. We adore You, there is no one like You – Definitely You are The Almighty.
You are the Only One who can Save; You are the One who can Heal; You are the One who can Deliver; You are the One who can Resurrect.
We commit all these People who are coming forward, who are surrendering to You today into Your Hands – Please receive them; have Mercy on them, Save their Souls Lord, Receive them into the Family of God.
We Pray that together, we will sing Your Praises, we will Testify of Your Mercy Forever in Jesus Name.
Thank You my Father. Glory be to Your Holy Name.
Lord God Almighty, as Your children will be Praising You today; Please Lord God Almighty; deliver them from all their fears.
And as a result of them worshipping You in Spirit and in Truth today; let every homes be filled with Your Testimonies.
In Jesus Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen.
PRAISE THE LORD – HALLELUJAH!
