ABOUT THE SPEAKER

Ayoola Jolayemi PMP is the Managing Partner/CEO of SwiftThink Limited and Idea Development and Management Firm based in Lagos Nigeria. Having being involved in Management in several capacities both within and outside Nigeria.

He has an Executive Management Programme Certificate from London School of Business and Finance UK, is also a Certified Project Manager (PMI USA), Certified IT Service Manager (ITIL), and Certified Microsoft Project Professional.

He has held several roles Lion of Zion Media, Abuja, Head of Africa Relations and Trade, Africa Promotion Centre, Brussels Belgium, Country Manager, Liveway Productions.

Ayoola sits on the board of a number of companies and NGOs in Nigeria which include, SwiftThink LTD, MindLab Global, LIFT Africa Project, Azusa Productions, TEAS Investments Limited, The Ewuro Project, ArtDome Nigeria, Muzane Limited and Riverbank Technologies and Engineering Services Limited (which is the owner of the Master Franchise for CADD Centre in West Africa. CADD Centre is the world’s largest Provider of Computer Aided Design and Development Training.).

He is also a member of the Board of IT for the Redeemed Christian Church of God worldwide.

He has been involved in several Ground Breaking Projects within and outside Nigeria.

With a Passion for Providing Mentorship and an enabling environment for New and Emerging Ideas, Ayoola, through his Organisation SwiftThink Limited started the Edge Series Student Summits. 4 editions of “The Edge Series Student Summit” in Lagos since 2014 with a cumulative reach of over 6,000 attendees and about 54,440 viewers on Online Platforms via Live Streaming in 4 years.

The train of impact has reached other Cities in Nigeria like Enugu, Benin, Abuja, Abeokuta, Port Harcourt and Owerri where 9,750 Participants in 6 Cities were reached.

The Summit and it’s smaller cluster activities is targeted at Young Entrepreneurs and Undergraduates, ensuring they are Prepared to take up the challenges of Nation building through hands-on Instructional Sessions and Business Support Systems.

Ayoola also serves as a Pastor in the Redeemed Christian Church of God and is happily married with 3 sons.

INTRODUCTORY CHARGE BY THE SPEAKER

The very basic Fundamentals of Human existence have not changed since man was created.

However, man has constantly improved on how we engage with the Fundamental basics of his existence.

And that has changed constantly by the use of Technology, even when we call it a Stone Age – How we eat, how we drink, how we love, how we cloth, and how we make money.

The Pandemic or any other crisis that has happened to man has caused man to adapt very quickly for survival.

But scratch that, I’m not here to talk about survival this morning; I’m here to speak about: Thriving beyond Survival.

The word, the Post COVID, or like some would call it the Post Pandemic has been over flogged and we can call it a cliché already.

But the truth of the matter is that man needs to do better than just surviving.

We were made to be People that flourish, that abound, that create, that Prosper, that Blossom; but because of the Power of fear and the influence our fear has on many People, we have suddenly curled back into our shells and become People that just want to merely get by.

But I trust that by the Power in the Name of Jesus, when we are done with this Session today, you will go beyond surviving to thriving – Amen.

Good afternoon everyone, my name is Ayoola Jolayemi and I am going to share a word of Prayer before we begin.

OPENING PRAYER

Heavenly Father, we Thank You.

We bless You because You are the God of all flesh with whom there is no variableness or shadow of turning.

We ask that You speak Your Words to the heart of everyone, and let the Words that they would hear turn their lives around and cause a remarkable advancement in their life.

That when men see them, they will call them Wonderful.

Thank you Father.

In Jesus Mighty Name – Amen.

MAIN TALK

Let us get straight into business this afternoon.

When we talk about crisis, what do we think about?

1. We think about loss of jobs.
2. We think about loss of livelihood.
3. We think about People even losing their lives, sometimes.

… God bless their Souls.

But we know that no matter what happens around us, life has to continue.

And those that survived and really go further beyond surviving when there are crises; are those who stay in the Place of rest.

Between the last four (4) Months, I have seen People Panic, I have seen People get afraid, I have seen People even lose hope.

Yes, they say Hope is not a Currency but sometimes Hope helps you to find the Currency.

What we do is not changing? How we do what we do is what is changing?

And that is why today; a “Common Language” or a “Common Lingo” we hear around us is what the word, PIVOTING.

Which is changing how we do what we do.

But the biggest challenge we have about doing what we do is that many of us don’t even know who we are.

… We are so concerned with doing than being.

If the People that have succeeded in the world today are concerned with doing, trust me, we would have a lot of People who are in the “rat race”.

But a lot of People have understood the Power of being than doing.

Pivoting like they say: Is finding another way to do the things that you do – Creating Value, Exploring Opportunities, and really Blossoming.

So, as it comes to the Young People of the world, and most especially those of us that are Believers in Christ Jesus; there is a very significant impact we can make in the world when we begin to do things from a Place of knowing who we are.

The Bible says in the Book of 1 Peter 2:9:

You are already Royal Priesthood, a Holy Nation, a Peculiar People, that you should show forth the Praise of Him who have called us out of darkness into His Marvelous Light.

So, there is something very significant in that sentence – And that is the word SHOWING!

Now for you to “Show” it means there is Substance.

However, by the reason of the way we have been wired in the world today; many of us don’t have Substance – We only have noise.

We cannot become all that God wants us to be without the Content.

Many of us have become very Shallow – Walking the world in a way that many People can see us and they see truly we have nothing to offer.

When you have Nothing to offer, People offers you Nothing.

I say that again: When you have Nothing to offer, People offers you Nothing.

The Second (2nd) Most important thing that I would like to mention to us this morning is the “POWER OF TECHNOLOGY”.

Technology is not just what it is; it is what we do with it that transforms the world.

Technology has not stopped improving, it has not stopped advancing.

And as I know till will die, it will not stop advancing.

But the most important thing is what we do with the Technology.

Let me give a very classic example with a Mobile Phone I have one with me here.

Those who makes the Mobile Phone know exactly what this device can do.

They have Packed it with all sorts of Features and advantages.

But if I’m going to be very honest with us, many of us have Mobile Phones, but don’t know what we can do with the Mobile Phones.

Some of us have Packed in so many things as far as Knowledge is concerned, that we have become “Knowledge Constipated”.

… We know so much; we do so little!

We have ideas about what the world needs to do, but we are Knowers and less Doers.

But this Morning, if we are going to understand exactly where we are going with this whole issue of the Covid-19 Pandemic, and every other issues that might arise in the world, then we need to start knowing what exactly we are being Packed with as individuals.

The Bible says that we are Fearfully and Wonderfully made.

It means that what God has put in us makes us much more Vulnerable than what we are doing today.

Say to yourself today: ‘I am Vulnerable’. ‘I am of High Importance’.

The world around me needs me more than I think they do!

Just like this Mobile Phone; if you want to do a lot of things with this Phone: Some are cashing out; some are becoming billionaires; some are losing their lives; some are being bullied.

But the simple most important thing is: What is this Phone created for?

When you understand exactly what this Phone is created for, then you will see that the “Band of Values” goes way beyond what you and I are doing with it today.

And that tells me very significantly that: What you and I are created for is a whole lot more than what we are doing today.

So, what is the Point that I’m making this morning?

We need to go beyond the Place of thinking about every single day in isolation – Young People of today, the world is yours for the taking.

The People around the world needs to know what you are made of.

There are so many things we can do differently, If only we can sit back and look on the other side of fear – Fear is a crippler.

… It makes you do what you would normally not do when you are thinking right.

For most of us we have been slowed down by the Power of fear. We have lost the “Sense of Reasoning” and “Sense of Living” because we are afraid.

So, I asked you this afternoon again:

1. What will you do if you were not afraid?
2. How will you approach life if there is nothing stopping you?
3. Where would you go?
4. Who will you speak to?
5. What Product would you create?
6. What Value would you add, if you know that all things are Possible?

But I tell you that the Scriptures says in the Book of Mark 9:23: To him who believes, all things are Possible to him.

If you are one of the People I’m speaking to all over the world: There is something very Significant you must remember – There is so much more you can do that you are doing now!

And how do you Maximize this Period?

1. The First (1st) Thing is to know John 8:32.

It says: And you shall know the Truth, and the Truth will Set you Free.

Daniel 11:32b says: But they that know their God shall be Strong and do Exploits.

You must build yourself to be a Person of Knowing.

2. But you will not stop there – You begin take Actions.

And I would explain it very simply in one analogy that God gave to me and I have become very Valuable in my own existence.

Many of us as Believers take Revelation as absolutes.

But when God gives you Revelation, what He has given to you is a Seed.

And when you have a Seed, if it does not fall into the Ground, it stays alone.

Now, when you have a Seed as Revelation, what you need next is Information.

Now when God gives you a Revelation as to what you can be like in a Prophecy, you need to build Information around that.

I. What is the Research that I need to do?

II. What is around the world that needs this Revelation?

III. How can I bring this Revelation into use by the Power of Information?

1. When I married this Revelation and this Information together, what happens is Transformation.

Why is that important?

Many People have gotten a Word from God: You will be rich, you will be great, you will be a man of influence.

… Like they would say: You will be a man that matters.

But People take that Word and do Nothing about it – Trying to understand what is in my environment, what is in my world that would help me bring this Revelation to fruition.

… And that is the Power of Information.

Now, when you have Information, what you build is Knowledge.

And People say Knowledge is Power!

But I’m here to tell you today that: Knowledge alone by itself, doesn’t bring Power!

Knowledge that is put to use is what Power is.

So, can you cease gathering Knowledge today just for the sake of having Conversations and Winning arguments?

Can you start building Knowledge from the Place of bringing Value to the People around you?

When you have the Revelation plus Information, it brings about Transformation – Number one.

2. Understand the Power of Numbers.

The richest man in the world as of today is the owner of Amazon – Jeff Bezos.

I heard that he is worth about one hundred and forty billion dollars right now.

… And that Number keeps increasing by the minutes.

What as he understood? – He has understood the Power of Numbers.

He knows that when there are more than one People using your Product, you have the Capacity of changing how you are Perceived.

As of today, he has about four hundred thousand (400,000) Affiliates spread across the world.

There is no corners of the world today that you need a Product on Amazon and you will not have it delivered at the maximum in thirty (30) days.

So, he tells me something very Significant that there is Power in Numbers.

Nigeria as a country has a very Youthful Population.

Statistics shows that fifty seven Percent (57%) of our Population is below the age of seventeen (17) years old.

So, it tells me that every single one of us has a Potential Market waiting for us to explore.

Be it Goods, be it Services, and even be it the Spreading of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.

The Power of Numbers is something that is to be maximized, not to be ignored.

3. Collaboration is the New Competition.

Every one of us have something to offer no matter how little it looks.

Let me tell you something today:

What you call a “Finished Product” is someone else’s Raw Material.

What you have in your hand that looks Valuable to you today, and you are treating as if is the Best Thing that happened after sliced bread is what somebody else will use to start his own Process.

Can you start searching around the world where your own Raw Material is, because someone else’s “Finish Product” is your Raw Material. And someone else’s Raw Material is your “Finish Product”.

So, you must begin to search and see: What do I need to do? How do I need to build a Community?

Thank God for the internet. Thank God for the Global Pandemic.

Many of you are working from home, it means that every single one of us have a Chance to have a Partner in Pakistan, another buyer from Uzbekistan, or somebody from Japan or the backside of the world in China or the other end of the world in Melbourne or in Sydney or somewhere down the line in the Middle East in Bahrain or in Oman, or in Qatar.

So, it means that someone somewhere you can connect with, with the Power of the Internet.

And if you don’t want to have Value, nobody can Value you.

… So, build a Community of Collaborators that will see you as someone of importance and begin to Pay Premium dollars for what you have.

4. Finally, understand that Failure is not Failure until you call it Failure.

Failure is just a Point of Learning.

If you do not fail, you would not know another way why something cannot be.

The Post Covid Period is a Period of movement in quick successions.

By the time you have built your Knowledge, you have understood the Power of Revelation, you have built them together to become a very Big Tool of Value Proposition”, you have seen the Opportunities available for you – You must learn to move.

Moving Forward means Failing Forward.

If you don’t have the Point of trying, you can’t Fail and if you don’t Fail, you won’t Succeed.

Michael Jordan said: I have failed so many times – I have failed and failed and failed. That is why I’m called a Success.

So, you must understand that the Power that is in Failure is more than what we have been told of what it is.

There is something called a “Negative Positivity” – It looks like a big issue – But you know that as much as you try to Push yourself into doing something Valuable, you will Fail.

I have failed.

… Oh, yes, I failed, so woefully, but I’m succeeding now, because I have failed so many times.

What are you doing today to be a “Better Person”?

What are you doing today to improve the Value of the Community you are living in?

What are you doing today to make God Proud?

What are you doing today that People will say: He is Wonderful, she is Wonderful, they are Wonderful?

What are you doing today to make the Name of God known all over the world, by the Value you are bringing to the Community you are living in?

What are you doing differently?

What will you do differently?

How will you do it differently?

Where will you do it differently?

To whom will you do it differently?

How would you be Perceived and seen in the Community you are living in?

CONCLUSION

I leave you with this words: When we leave this world we would not regret the things that we have done or not failed and failed at. We regret the things for which we never tried to do anything.

So, this morning, this afternoon, this night, wherever you are watching us from or reading on the Label of DMC; know this very clearly that: God has made you Wonderful. He has Planted a Seed of Wonder in you, but you have a responsibility to be the Wonder that God has called you to be.

CLOSING PRAYER

Father, we Thank You.

We give You all the Praise because we know that no matter what happens in the world, we are More Than Conquerors because we serve a God who is a God of Oneness.

We Prayed that Father in the Name of Jesus for everyone who is watching from anywhere in the world or reading now on the Label of DMC, that the “Life Giving Power” of God, the “Creative Power” of God, and the “Wonder Working Power” of God is imbibed upon their lives in the Name of Jesus.

That wherever they go from today, everything around them, You have given to them to be the best they can be.

They will make Maximum use of them. They will have harness all around them and be a Wonder to the world and men will see them and call them Wonderful.

Thank you Father.
