TEXT: PSALMS 121:1-2
Hallelujah! Glory be to God in the highest.
We Thank the Lord for what He has done, and for greater things that He is set to do at a time like this, that He ask us to LIFT UP OUR EYES UNTO HIM.
The Bible says that “They looked unto Him, and were Lightened: and their faces were not ashamed” – Psalms 34:5
I believe God very strongly, that during this Special Holy Ghost Service, as you Lift up your eyes and look to the Lord, the Lord will meet you at the Point of your Needs, in the Name of Jesus – Amen!
Shall we Pray!
OPENING PRAYER
Our Father and our God we Thank You because all Power in Heaven and on Earth belongs to You.
You are the Word from the Beginning, and whatsoever You say has come to stay.
Lord, we ask that You open our “Eyes of Understanding”, and give us depth, even in Your things this Hour, in the Name of Jesus.
Let every Souls be blessed, and let Your Name be Glorified.
Thank You Heavenly Father.
In Jesus’Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen!
The Topic before us says: “I WILL LIFT UP MY EYES UNTO THE HILLS”.
I’m going to be taking my Text from Psalms 121:1-2:
1 I will lift up mine eyes unto the Hills, from whence cometh my Help.
2 My Help cometh from the LORD, which made Heaven and Earth.
One of the most important Gates in the Human body is the “EYE GATE”.
Of course, when you look at the Gates in the Human body, we have:
- The Gate of the Eyes;
- The Gate of the Ears;
- We have the sense of Perception, and;
- That of the Touch.
The Eye Gate is very important, because when you look through the Bible, it explains how valid.
The Bible says: “I will lift up my eyes” – It is talking about the ‘Eye Gate”.
The Bible says in Matthew 6:22-23 – “The Light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of Light. But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the Light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness!”
Another Translation says: “How gross is the darkness.”
The Word of God is telling us here that, it doesn’t matter how brightly dressed you are; it doesn’t matter how brightly illuminated the Position where you are; but when your eyes are full of evil, everything that you will see in your heart, will be a reflection of that evil.
So when you look at what is Positive, you think Positively; when you look at what is Negative, you think Negatively.
… I’m talking about the eyes.
It says: “I will lift up my eyes unto the Hills”.
Jesus emphasised the importance of the eyes, when He spoke to the Pharisees.
It’s interesting that somebody’s name can be Pharisee, but they cannot see from afar
Jesus said unto them in John 9:39-41:
“And Jesus said, For Judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind. And some of the Pharisees which were with him heard these words, and said unto him, Are we blind also? Jesus said unto them, If ye were blind, ye should have no sin: but now ye say, We see; therefore your sin remaineth.”
Hear me Child of God: “The ‘Eye Gate’ is a very important and sensitive Part of a Physical and a Spiritual life”.
And that’s why the Psalmist says: “I will lift up my eyes unto the Hills.”
Often times, the devil do ensure that: It is either we don’t look at all, or we don’t see; or when we see, we look at something that is not Profitable.
… I will lift up my eyes!
The enemy knows that many eyes look, but only few see! And that’s why he tries every time to shift People’s focus.
Because when you look up unto the Hills, what you see is a very, very important factor.
God said unto Abram (as soon as Lot departed from him): Abram, lift up your eyes, look Northward, Westward, Eastward, Southward; as far as your eyes can see; He said, I have given it unto you.
Which simply means that, what you don’t see, you can’t obtain.
And that’s why Heaven is so concerned about how far your eyes can see.
When a man lift up his eyes, what he sees matter most.
And I like to settle something very quickly, because I discovered that wherever the Bible writes ‘See’ or ‘Behold’, every of those things don’t mean the same thing.
Let me give you three (3) kinds of Seeing:
- YOU ARE JUST AWARE OF SOMETHING.
A number of times, I have had to ask People in Bible Studies; especially those who drive cars.
People have been driving cars for Years, ask them: ‘What is the Plate Number of your car?’ – They don’t know!
They see the Car every day, but they don’t take attention of the Plate Number. They know they have Plate Numbers, but they can’t quote it correctly.
… So that ‘Seeing’ is only talking about being AWARE.
The Bible says in John 1:29, “The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.”
How do I know that the world ‘Behold’ was just talking about being AWARE?
When you move down to John 1:35-36, John repeated it again to his Disciples:
“And looking upon Jesus as he walked, he saith, Behold the Lamb of God! And the two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus.”
They followed him that second time; but the first time, it was just to see – To be AWARE.
- TO SEE, NOT BY MERE LOOKING, BUT ACTUAL PERCEPTION.
In John, Jesus answered and said unto him: Verily, Verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be Born Again, he “CANNOT SEE” the Kingdom of God.
That see is not talking about being aware; it’s talking about the Full Perception of what the Kingdom of God is all about.
… But there is a higher level of seeing which means:
- TO BEND OVER FOR A BETTER LOOK.
In Exodus 3:1-5, the Bible says Moses was tending the flock of his father-in-law;
“And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him in a flame of fire out of the midst of a bush: and he looked, and, behold, the bush burned with fire, and the bush was not consumed. And Moses said, I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt.”
What else did he want to look at? He has seen the bush burning, he has seen that the grass was not consumed.
But he needed to Pay a more detailed attention.
And then when he turned around, and he saw other things, the Bible says that the Voice of the Lord came unto him.
Hear me Child of God: When you turn in life, it simply means it is your turn for a Turnaround.
So somehow as he turned, God knew that He had arrested his attention! It’s time to begin to speak to him.
I believe that during this Special Holy Ghost Service, as you look intently, as you look closely; even into that Word of Liberty; may you hear the Voice of God, in the Mighty Name of Jesus – Amen.
He heard an Instruction that started his Ministry like never before.
Hear me Child of God; let me tell you why “LOOKING UP” is very important:
A number of times, I have seen People who say they are believing God for something – “I am looking unto God for something.”
But ask them very well – They are still looking at man!
It is not Possible to look up and down at the same time!
I know you can try it out: Use one of your eyes to look up, use the other one to look down. It is not Possible – No way!
The two (2) of them would rather go up or they come down.
And listen to me Child of God: Stop saying you are looking unto God, when you are actually looking unto man.
Because when you are looking unto God, all your focus, all your attention will go to the Hills because that is where your Help can come from.
WHY MUST I LIFT UP MY EYES UNTO THE HILLS?
- The more you look unto Him, the more you look like Him.
When you look at Genesis 30:37-43; God spoke even unto Jacob. He said this is what you will do that you can be free from Leban (Financially). Look at the animals, wherever they are mating, cut a Poplar tree and put it in front of them.
“Now Jacob took for himself rods of Green Poplar and of the Almond and Chestnut trees, Peeled white strips in them, and exposed the white which was in the rods. And the rods which he had Peeled, he set before the flocks in the gutters, in the watering troughs where the flocks came to drink, so that they should conceive when they came to drink. So the flocks conceived before the rods, and the flocks brought forth Streaked, Speckled, and Spotted. Then Jacob separated the lambs, and made the flocks face toward the streaked and all the brown in the flock of Laban; but he put his own flocks by themselves and did not put them with Laban’s flock”.
There is a law called “The Law of Immutability” – Who you look at, you look like.
… The more you look at Him, the more you look like Him!
And when you look around, it is Possible that you have seen Couples that look alike before – That is the Power that is behind it.
The more you look at somebody, the more you look like the Person!
No wonder the Bible says in Hebrews 12:2: “Looking unto Jesus the Author and Finisher of our Faith; who for the Joy that was set before Him endured the Cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the Right hand of the throne of God.”
You keep looking into Him, you keep looking like Him!
- It means, when you look up unto Him, you can receive Healing.
In Numbers 21:4-9, the Bible says that Israelites annoyed God. And He sent some Fiery Serpents amongst them. The Serpents bit them and as they were bitten, they were dying in their numbers.
Moses cried unto God (as an Intercessor): “And the LORD said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a Pole: and it shall come to Pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live.”
He did not say ‘whosoever grabbed it’s; He did not say ‘whosoever clinged to it.’ He only asked them to LOOK (and Live).
… They lifted up their eyes and they LOOK.
No wonder, the Symbol (you know) in the Medical Field is a Symbol of that Brazen Serpent upon a stick.
But do you know that was just a “Type” of what is about to happen in the New Testament.
The Bible says in John 3:14-15 – “And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: That whosoever believeth in Him should not Perish, but have Eternal Life.”
So when you look up, and you lift up your eyes unto the Hills, you receive Healing.
I Prophecy over your life, wherever you are reading this message on the Label of DMC: in the Name that is above every other names, as you look unto the Saving Christ, you will receive your Healings – Amen.
Healings in your Body, Healings in your Spirit, Healings in the Soul. Healing Financially, Healing to that Womb, Healing to that Migraine – Amen.
I speak to any kind of Internal Organ: Receive your Healing in the Name of Jesus – Amen!
- Shame is being taken away from you totally.
The Bible says in Isaiah 50:7 – “For the Lord GOD will help me; therefore shall I not be confounded: therefore have I set my face like a flint, and I know that I shall not be ashamed.”
As you Lift up your eyes unto the Hills, God takes shame from your Life.
- Every Veil covering your heart will be taken away.
… Every Veil covering your spiritman will be taken away.
Hear me Child of God: There is a difference between Spirituality and Religiosity; there is a difference between Christianity and Going to Church.
When you keep thinking that you are Religious as it has translated to being Spiritual, it’s not correct.
There are People who put veil upon their faces, and they don’t know the origin of that veil.
Hear me Child of God: It was when Moses went to see God, and he came back from that Encounter: his face was shining.
The Bible says the People could not look at his face anymore! So they asked that he should cover his face whenever he is looking at the People.
… But when he went to look at God, he will remove the veil.
Hear me Child of God: When you cover your face and there is no Glory under it, there is nothing you are covering!
The Bible says that when we look at Him, that veil will be taken away.
2 Corinthians 6:12-16 says when you look unto Him your veil will be removed.
- You will Experience a Transformation
And you are changed from one level of Glory to another; you are changed from one level of Victory to another.
The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 3:17-18 – “Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. But we all, with open face beholding as in a Glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from Glory to Glory, even as by the Spirit of the LORD.”
- Help will arise from Above.
My Text (Psalms 121:1-2) says: “I will lift up mine eyes unto the Hills, from whence cometh my Help. My Help cometh from the LORD, which made Heaven and Earth.”
When you lift up your eyes unto Him, Help will come for you in every directions, in the Mighty Name of Jesus – Amen.
- Your Shinning becomes Brighter and Brighter.
Moses gazed on the Lord in Exodus 33:17-23; He said to the Lord, if indeed You like me, I want You to show me Your Glory.
And God said to Moses, no one sees my face and live. But I will like to show you a Part of me. I will show you my back!
“And it shall come to Pass, while my Glory Passeth by, that I will Put thee in a clift of the rock, and will cover thee with my hand while I Pass by:”
I wondered, when I read that Passage of the Bible: Moses saw the back of God and nobody could look at his face!
What if he has seen God’s face, what would have happened?
His face is a Consuming Fire; His face is a Bright Light that can shine all over the world.
Now, I want to challenge you; as He hides you under the Rock – the Bible says that Rock is Christ.
In the Name above all other names, you will begin to experience Transformation – Amen.
Look unto the HILLS: Look unto Him in Worship, look unto Him in the Word, look unto Him by Faith and your Life will not remain the same again – Amen.
As you lift up your hands everywhere even as you read now on the Label of DMC, and you wave unto the Lord and tell Him Lord: I am looking unto You:
I. As I look unto You, take Shame away!
II. As I look unto You Lord, let there be Healing and Life!
III. As I look unto You, let me experience a Transformation!
IV. As I look unto You Lord, let my Glory Shine Brighter!
CLOSING PRAYER
I Prophesy over your life, that you will experience God in a New Way.
As you lift up your eyes and look unto Him, God will show Himself Strong on your behalf.
So shall it be.
IN JESUS’ MIGHTY NAME WE HAVE DECREED – AMEN!
