OPENING PRAYER

Father Almighty, the Almighty, the Owner of Heaven and Earth; we worship You.

The Father of fathers, the Owner of Children, the Owner of Youths, the Owner of even the Old Ones, the Ancient of Days; we worship You. Please accept our worship in Jesus Name.

Father, this Sunday as we are Thanking You for January, for February, for March, for April and now for May; Please accept our worship in Jesus Name.

We are committing into Your Hands, especially all our Children, all our Teenagers, all our Youths, all our Young Adults and all of us who are Children in Your Hands; in a very, very Special Way this Month, Father bless us all, Promote us Lord, take us to Great Heights.

These Children that we are Praying for Father; Please Preserve them.

And we are Praying Lord God Almighty for all Your Children who has been Faithful in the Payment of their Tithes and in the Giving of their Offerings; Lord God Almighty in this Special Month of Grace, be Gracious unto them, bless them beyond measures and let Your Name be Glorified.

Thank You for the Victory that You have given us thus far. We Pray Lord God Almighty that Coronavirus will never resurface again in Nigeria. Let our Victory over this dreadful disease be Permanent in Jesus Name.

Lord in Nigeria, we cry to You again: “GIVE US PEACE”. All those who are in the Captivity of the enemies, Lord God Almighty Set them Free.

Oh God, You are the Helper of the Helpless, help these Your Children.

In Jesus Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen.

Well let someone shout Hallelujah – Hallelujah!

Now, wave your hands to two (2) or three (3) People and said: God Bless You. It shall be well with you in Jesus Name – Amen.

You may Please be seated.

Today, we are talking on: “FAR ABOVE”.

And our Bible Text will be: Daniel 6: 1-3:

1. It Pleased Darius to set over the Kingdom an hundred and twenty Princes, which should be over the whole Kingdom;
2. And over these three Presidents; of whom Daniel was first: that the Princes might give accounts unto them, and the King should have no damage.
3. Then this Daniel was Preferred above the Presidents and Princes, because an Excellent Spirit was in him; and the King thought to set him over the whole realm.

Life is in Levels:

1. The Lowest Level is the Grave.

That is why the Bible said in Ecclesiastes 9:4 that a Living Dog is better than a Dead Lion.

When Someone is in the Grave, that is as low as you can go.

Fortunately, no matter how; the Hands of God can still reach that Place because the Bible says that: Underneath are the Everlasting Arms.

So, He could call Someone out of the Grave as He did in the case of Lazarus in John Chapter 11.

2. The Next Level, higher than the Grave is what you call: “The Valley”.

… The Fellow is not in the Grave but situations are so low that he is wishing that he would die.

Like in 1 Kings 19:4; Elijah said unto God: Enough Lord, take my Life.

If you are in that kind of Level: Where you are even begining to contemplate Suicide; my God will reach out to you today – Amen.

3. Then the Next Level, higher than that of course is: “The Hill Top”.

When you are on the “Hill Top”; you are already closer to God.

And if you read Exodus 17: 8-13; you will see that when the Amalekites came to fight with Israel; Moses went to the “Hill Top” to go and lift up his hands while the battle was going on at the Valley.

The “Hill Top” is where God is easier to see.

That is why you hear some People; when they are Fasting, when they don’t want to say it – That way, they say that they are on the “Hill Top”.

If you are on the “Hill Top” today; may the Lord answer your Prayers – Amen.

4. Then you can go Higher still than the “Hill Top” – You can go to the “Mountain Top”.

According to 1 Kings 18: 36-39; when Elijah was on Mount Carmel, he Prayed and God answered by Fire.

So, by the time you get to the “Mountain Top”; you can call down Fire from Heaven.

5. But there is something still “Far Above” the “Mountain Top”.

According to Ephesians 1: 19-23; the Bible says that Jesus Christ is seated “Far Above” Principalities and Powers.

And fortunately, we are seated with Him.

If you are in that Place called “Far Above”; even your enemies are at your footstool – Amen.

My Prayer for you this Month of May is that the Almighty God will take you to that Level “Far Above” all Principalities and Powers so that all your enemies will be under your feet – Amen.

That is one way of looking at our Topic that day!

But then today is a very Special Sunday set aside for Children, for Teenagers, for Young Ones, for the Young Adults.

In order words, it is a very Special Sunday for those who are still in School one way or the other – Primary, Secondary, University et cetera et cetera. Including those of us who may be Old in Age but are Young at heart in Schools.

Particularly, in the Universities, we find that Students are also in Levels:

1. We have those that we call: “Below Average” – That is the Lowest Level.

“Below Average” are those People who just keep on failing”.

The Bible refers to them in Proverbs 14:18 – It uses a very Polite word for them. It calls them “The Simple Ones”.

… That is a very Polite way of saying: “The Stupid Ones”.

It doesn’t matter what you tried, it doesn’t matter who the Teacher is: He just don’t seems to get anything into their brains.

I believed that there is none of such in Church today or reading now on the Label of DMC – If there is, God Himself will give you a Brand New Brain!

And He can do it – I have seen Him doing it before.

Some of you will remembered the case of two (2) sons of a Professor in one of our Universities.

Who was always coming Last in Class – When they moved him from a Class of twenty five (25) Students to a Class of thirty (30); his Position changed from twenty fifth (25th) to thirtieth (30th).

They got all sorts of manner of People to teach him, he was always getting Zero.

Then the Parents brought him – As Young as he was; we talked about Jesus Christ, he gave his Life, we Prayed and God gave him a Brand New Brain.

In the next Examination, he came first (1st).

The Teachers said that it is not Possible and they said that he must sit down and rewrite another one. They said that even if you give him the answer to copy, he will copy it wrongly.

They gave him the exams again to do in their Presence and he scored even higher still.

I decree today: Concerning all the Children who are here or reading now on the Label of DMC; who are “Below Average”, may my God give you a Brand New Brain – Amen.

2. And then we have the Students we call “Average Students”.

They are not “The Simple Ones” but they could do better.

Proverbs 9:9 refers to them when it says: If you instruct the Wise, he will yet be Wiser.

In the Universities in those days; there is something we call them in those days – There is something we call in those days when you have Students who just managed to Past.

We call them: Let My People Go!

… Just give me a Certificate and let me go out of here!

3. And then we have Students who are “Above Average”.

The Bible says concerning them in Psalms 119:98 – It says: Through thy Commandments you have made me Wiser than my enemies.

… These are Students who are “Above Average”.

They are not “The Simple Ones”; they are not the “Average Ones” – They are “Above Average”.

Usually, these are the kind of Students that gets to Third (3rd) Class Honours.

… At least, they are already having “Honours” attached to their names!

4. But then there are those who are “Well Above Average”.

And if you read Daniel 1: 1-20; the Bible tells us about some Young boys who were in Slavery in Babylon and the King said that they should be fed with His Own Meal, giving them his Wine.

And Daniel, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego said: No, we don’t want to drink his wine – Just give us Beans and Water.

The Bible said that at the end of the Training, they were ten (10) times Wiser than all the others.

… They were “Well Above Average”.

In the University Classifications, we call them Second (2nd) Class Honours.

Now, I don’t want have the time to begin to differentiate between Second (2nd) Class Lower and Second (2nd) Upper.

… Just put them together.

5. And then you have those who are “Very Well Above Average”.

… The Ones we referred to as the First (1st) Class.

You will see this in the Bible Text that I read to you in Daniel 6: 1-2.

The Bible tells us that there were one hundred and twenty (120) Princes.

To be one of those one hundred and twenty (120) Princes, then you must be definitely “Above Average”.

And then out of the one hundred and twenty (120) Princes; they want to choose three (3) Princes to supervise the one hundred and twenty (120) Princes.

… Those are First (1st) Class Materials – Really Good Stuffs.

6. But do you know that there are still some People who are “Far Above” – The People that we call Outstanding!

Because the Bible says in Daniel 6:3; it says that among the three (3); there is still this one boy called Daniel – He was still Superior even among the three (3).

… He was so Superior that the King was saying: I think if I just put the Kingdom in Charge of this boy; I can take my rest without any fear at all.

You see, when I was in the University in my Younger days; we used to Classify First (1st) Class Students.

Because any Student who scored Seventy Percent (70%) is First (1st) Class in any University in the world.

But just as we have People with Seventy Percent (70%) as First Class, we also have those who scored Ninety Percent (90%).

So we sit down and said:

I. Seventy Percent (70%) to Eighty Percent (80%) as Third (3rd) of First (1st) Class.

II. Eighty Percent (80%) to Ninety Percent (90%) as Second (2nd) Class of First (1st) Class.

III. Above Ninety Percent (90%) is First (1st) Class of First (1st) Class.

That is the meaning of “FAR ABOVE”.

In the Name of the one who sent me, who made me your dad – Everyone of you will qualify as Outstanding – Amen; you will end up as First (1st) Class of First (1st) Class – Amen.

Now very quickly before I close: WHAT MUST I DO SO THAT I CAN BE LIKE DANIEL, SO THAT I CAN BE “FAR ABOVE”?

Well, we learnt from Daniel – Just take a look at Daniel and you will see that God is not a Respecter of Person. What He did for Daniel, then He can do it for you!

1. Daniel refused to Compromise.

In Daniel 1:8; he said: I’m not going to, in any way contaminate myself.

You want to be like Daniel, you must be different from every other Fellow in the Campus.

Whatever they are doing that is dirty, you will have no Part in it at all – You will be Clean Physically, Clean Morally, Clean Spiritually.

You don’t even have to taste cigarette not to talk of Hemp, not to talk of drugs.

You don’t drink Alcohol – You just don’t because your Body is the Temple of the Holy Spirit and it must be Clean.

In 2 Corinthians 6: 14-18; the Bible made it clear that you must “Stand Out” if you want God to accept you, you must be without Compromise.

2. You want to be like Daniel, you must be Diligent.

Proverbs 22:29 said clearly: Seeth thou a Man diligent in his Business, he will Stand before Kings and not before Mean Man.

… You must be diligent!

Diligent means Hardworking!

I have told you before: Years ago, when some Christian Students in a Particular University – The Leaders of Fellowship and so on and so forth were failing their exams like nobody business.

And when I told them: What is going on? Why are you failing?

Oh, well we were spending time in Fellowship, spending time with God.

Oh, you are not Studying? Well is it not written that the Holy Spirit will teach us all things?

I said: Yeah, now that you have failed; the Holy Spirit will comfort you and tell you next time to Study.

The Holy Spirit will remind you of what you have learnt not what you have not learnt.

… Be diligent; Study. Don’t waste time unnecessarily!

Oh, there is time for everything – Time for Fellowship.

I mean in those days, they will say they are doing Fellowship during Examination – They will be singing and clapping at Midnight.

No, there is Time for everything – You must Study hard, you must be Diligent and Hardworking.

3. And then finally like Daniel; you must be a Prayer Warrior.

When you read Daniel 6: 4-end; the Bible tells us that when the People said that we must catch this Daniel. He is clean in every other areas and so let us find a way of catching him.

They said: Let us see if we can get him to stop Praying to God.

And you know the rest of the Story – He said: Prayer, I will Pray!

You know the Bible says in 1 Thessalonians 5:17 – it said: Pray Without Ceasing.

How can I Pray without ceasing when you say that I should be Studying?

When you are Studying, you can Pray in Tongues because the Bible says when you are Praying in Tongues, your Understanding is detached from the Praying – Your mouth is just moving up and down, your mind is saying 2 + 2 = 4.

There is no confusion at all – You can Pray in the Spirit when you are Studying.

You can even Pray in the Spirit when you are writing an Examination.

Why Must I Pray Non Stop?

Because it is not unusual for somebody to have Studied very well and get to the Examination Hall and blank out.

I have been there before and so I know what I am talking about.

It is not impossible for someone to get to the Examination Hall and be attacked by evil forces – I have seen it before!

When I was at the University of Lagos (Unilag); there was an occassion when all of a sudden Somebody came running to my office and say: Please come Pastor, Please come.

Why? – There was this very Brilliant Boy and as soon as he gets to the Examination Hall, settled down to begin to write the Exams, he suddenly started urinating Non Stop.

And when they said that they should take him to the Health Center, he said: No, No, No; you should see that this is not Physical. Go and get my Pastor.

Thank God that we Prayed a Simple Prayer, the urinating stopped and inspite of the fact that the boy has lost some thirty (30) Minutes; he still scored High Marks.

You need to Pray Non Stop so that the enemies will not be able to mess around with you in your Academics Pursuit.

ALTAR CALL.

Well of course I’m sure that you know very well – God will only answer the Prayers of His Own.

Isaiah 59: 1-2 says: God Hand is not shortened that He cannot save; His Ears are not heavy that He cannot hear but if there is sin in your Life, He won’t even hear you. And if He doesn’t hear, how is He going to answer?

That is why my Beloveth Children; if you want to be the first among many; you want to be Outstanding; you want to be “Far Above”; the first thing that you must do is to give your Life to Jesus Christ.

If you are backsliden, you must return to Him now.

So, in your own interest; I will just give you just two (2) Minutes to run forward to the Altar; fall on your face before the Almighty God and cry to Him for the Salvation of your Soul.

And if you are a Backslider, come to Him and ask Him to Please restore you to Fellowship.

And while this is a Call to the Young Ones; let me remind those of you who thinks that you are Old – You are a Child in the Hands of the One who is called “The Ancient of Days”.

If you too wants to excel in Life; and you have not given your Life to Jesus Christ; you better do so now.

Or if you are Backsliden, come back to God now.

So, for two (2) minutes; I’m going to ask you to cry to the Almighty God for the Salvation of your Soul or for Restoration for those of you who are Backsliden.

And those of you who are already Born Again, who are sure of our Salvation; let us intercede for those who are surrendering their lives to Jesus Christ and ask God to give them “Genuine Salvation”.

So, for just one (1) minute, can we call on Him and ask for Mercy Lord God Almighty.

Ask Him, the Saviour to reach out to us today – The One whose Hands are always Underneath and Pick us up from wherever Level we are and through the Power in the Blood, wash away our sins, save our Souls and begin to lift us up.

And if you have Backsliden, cry to Him: Father, I have fallen from Great Heights; reach out to me Lord, bring me back into Fellowship with You and I Promised You that I will serve You for the rest of my Life.

… Call on Him now because He is Hearing you!

PRAYER OF SALVATION AND CLOSING PRAYER

So, my Father and my God; once again we want to Thank You for Your Words and we want to Thank You for those who has heard Your Words and are responding now.

Please Lord, receive them, save their Souls, let Your Blood wash away their sins, Lord write their names in the Book of Life.

And all Backsliders who are coming home; Please receive them also.

And I Pray that from this time onwards, each time we cry to You, answer us by Fire.

And I Pray Lord God Almighty that we will excel from now on.

Help us Lord that we will be “Far Above” our Peers in Jesus Name.

Thank You my Father. Glory be to Your Holy Name.

In Jesus Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen.

Praise the Lord – Hallelujah!

Now, I’m rejoicing with those of you who has given your Life to Jesus Christ today.

I want to assure you by the Grace of God that I will be Praying for you. But then I need to know your names, your address and your Prayer Request.

GENERAL PRAYER

And the rest of us; we want to Thank the Almighty God today as we Praise Him, as we Glorify His Holy Name.

Don’t forget to call on Him – And said: Lord God Almighty, I want to be “Far Above” in everything in Life.

Help me Lord, take me to that Height that is much Higher than I.

And He will grant your request in Jesus Name – Amen.
