OPENING PRAYER

The Alpha and the Omega, we bless Your Name.

We have come to say Thank You for Your Goodness; we have come to say Thank You for Your Faithfulness in our lives. Thank You Lord for Your Mercy over our lives!

We thank You Lord Jesus Christ for The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG). We Thank You for the Anniversary of the Holy Ghost Service (36th Anniversary).

We Thank You Lord for what You have been doing in this Service. Oh God, we give You Glory!

We Thank You for the Miracles and the Signs and the Wonders and the Souls that You have saved through the Holy Ghost Service.

Glory be to Your Name, in the Name of Jesus!

Lord, we want to Thank You for a Special Day like this in the Life of our father-in-the-Lord. Thank You for Eighty (80) Years of Your Faithfulness in his Life.

We say Glory, Glory, Glory, Glory, Glory, Glory, Glory be to Your Holy Name, in the Name of Jesus.

Father, I want to Thank You for the Privilege I have to be here tonight. It’s not because I am the most Qualified, it’s not because most Anointed but it’s by Your Mercy Lord – I give You Glory!

Glorify Yourself tonight, in the Name of Jesus.

We Pray Lord as we enter into Your Word tonight, let our Joy be Full.

Holy Spirit, take over my lips, put Your Word in my mouth and let us be blessed tonight.

In Jesus’ Name we give Praise to God – Amen!

Now, let Somebody that knows that by the end of tonight’s Service your Joy will be full – Look at neighbour, say “Neighbour, the Joy of the Lord is my Strength!”

I want to express my Profound Gratitude to my Grandpa and my Grandma – Daddy and Mummy GO. Thank you for this Privilege you have given to us to be here tonight.

Daddy and Mummy we Pray that the Lord will continue to Strengthen you, Uphold you, keep you in Good Health.

And by the Grace of God, we your children will join you in Heaven, in Jesus’ Name – Amen!

I also want to thank my fathers and mothers here seated, Partnering with our father-in-the-Lord. Thank you for this Great Privilege, we don’t take it for granted.

God will continue to honour you, in Jesus’ Name – Amen!

And for South East Leaders; my ACO, my Regional Pastors, Daddies – God bless you all, in Jesus’ Name – Amen.

I have been asked to speak on the Topic: THE JOY OF THE LORD.

Our Bible Text will be taken from – Psalms 126: 1-6.

While we are opening our Bibles, the Choir was from Region 6. While I am from Region 15, Abia Province 3 Umuahia.

Psalms 126:1-6:

1 When the Lord turned again the Captivity of Zion, we were like them that Dream.

2 Then was our Mouth filled with Laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the Heathen, The Lord hath done Great Things for them.

3 The Lord hath done Great Things for us; whereof we are glad.

4 Turn again our Captivity, O Lord, as the Streams in the South.

5 They that sow in tears shall reap in Joy.

6 He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing Precious Seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.

WHAT IS THE MEANING OF JOY?

Joy simply means Gladness or Pleasure.

When we are talking about “THE JOY OF THE LORD, Joy means the opposite of sorrow.

In Galatians 5:22, the Bible says Joy is a Fruit of the Spirit.

NOW WHAT IS THE JOY OF THE LORD?

The Joy of the Lord simply means the Gladness and Happiness that comes from God.

But for the Purpose of this Talk tonight, I want to have this as my Operational Definition of The Joy of the Lord.

That is: The Joy of the Lord is the knowing, is the assurance that God is in Full Control of every details of your Life.

I will come again:

The Joy of the Lord is the knowing in you, the assurance in you that God is in Full Control of your Life.

Mathematically, I can say that let us represent the assurance that God is in Control of your Life, to be the Joy of the Lord.

… Now I want to move to the Expressions of the Joy of the Lord.

WHAT ARE THE EXPRESSIONS OF THE JOY OF THE LORD?

By the Grace of God, my Grandfather in the Lord is an Excellent Mathematician.

And in Mathematics we have different Mathematical Expression.

For example we have the Algebraic Expression – With my Elementary Knowledge in Mathematics anyway!

How do we Define Expression in Mathematics?

Expression in Mathematics, is a Statement that has a minimum of two (2) Variables with an Operation connected between them.

Now I want to go into the Expressions of the Joy of the Lord – Meaning that the Joy of the Lord has an Expression.

1. No. 1 Variable of the Expression of the Joy of the Lord is WONDERS.

What is Wonders?

Wonders are Strange acts of God in the Life of Man that are Practically impossible to be replicated by Man.

Psalms 26:1 (from The Message Bible). It says – It seemed like a Dream, too Good to be true.

My Brethren, when there are Wonders in your Life, it looks like you are Dreaming.

In Deuteronomy 26:8, the the Bible says: And the Lord brought us forth out of Egypt with a Mighty Hand, and with an Outstretched Arm, and with Great terribleness, and with Signs, and with Wonders:

… When the Lord brought the Children of Israel out of Egypt it was like a Dream.

I Pray for Somebody here tonight and those reading on the Label of DMC now; whatever Captivity that has tied you down, by the Awesome Wonders of God, you are delivered tonight, in the Name of Jesus – Amen.

2. NO. 2 Variable of the Expression of the Joy of the Lord is RESTORATION.

In Psalms 1261, the Bible says – When God returned Zion exile; When the Lord turned again the Captivity of Zion:

I am glad to announce to Somebody here today and those reading now on the Label of DMC; when do you think is your Restoration? – Tomorrow?

I can’t hear you: when is your Restoration? When will the Lord turn again your captivity! – TODAY!

… If you know and you are sure your Restoration is now, jump on your feet and shout Restore – RESTORE!

The Bible says when the Lord turned again their Captivity;

That’s why I have the assurance tonight, that by the Grace of God, everything you have lost; whatever that has been stolen from you; whatever be the Asset in your Life that has been depleted: by the Power of God here tonight, everything will be restored back in Full with Full Compensation – AMEN.

You didn’t get me. I said everything will be restored with Full Compensation to you, in the Name of Jesus – Amen.

3. NO. 3 Variable of the Expression of the Joy of the Lord is FAME.

And when we talk about Fame, we are talking about you being the Centre of Attraction.

Psalms 126:2 (from the Message Bible) it says: We couldn’t believe our Good Fortune. We were the talk of the Nations.

When the Joy of the Lord comes upon you, you become the Centre of Attraction;

When the Joy of the Lord is expressed in your Life, you find out that everything centers around you – People just keep coming to you, seeking for ideas, seeking for Solutions.

Little wonder our Lord Jesus Christ carried this Fame.

If you doubt me, open your Bible to Mark 1:28. The Bible says: And immediately His fame spread abroad throughout all the Regions round about Galilee.

If our Lord Jesus Christ carried this Fame, how much more we His Children?

I Decree into your Life tonight or as you read now on the Label of DMC, after this Weekend, all of us here and those reading on the Label of DMC, we will begin to operate in the realm of Global Influence, in the Name Jesus – AMEN.

… There were several People with Fame in the Bible, Joshua was one of them.

In Joshua 6:27, the Bible says – So the Lord was with Joshua; and his fame was noised throughout all the Country.

4. The fourth Variable Expression of the Joy of the Lord is – END TO HARDSHIP.

Psalms 126:5 says: They that sow in tears shall reap in Joy.

My Brothers and Sisters, if you think it is easy to sow Seed go and ask the Farmer. It is not a Pleasant thing to go to the farm and sow Seeds – It is hard.

But should I announce to you? -At the end of it, Joy Cometh – Amen.

I say Joy Cometh – Amen.

In 1 KIngs 18:41-46, the Bible says in the Land there was dryness (drought) but Elijah Prayed and the rain fell – Which brought an end to Hardship.

I declare into your Life tonight; whatever has been that hard thing in your Life; whatever is the Hardship you are Passing through, after tonight,an end has come to that Hardship, in the Name of Jesus – Amen.

Wherever there is the loudest Amen, an end has come to your Hardship – Amen.

5. NO. 5 Variable of the Expression of the Joy of the Lord is – END TO FRUITLESS EFFORT.

What do we mean by Fruitless Effort?

You work and there is nothing to show for it – No meaningful or tangible result to show for your Labour.

Psalms 126:6 (from the Message Bible) says: So those who went off with heavy hearts will come home laughing, with armloads of Blessing.

If you look at Luke 5:5-7, the Bible says: Peter toiled all Night. When Jesus asked him to cast his nets he said Master, I have toiled all Night and caught nothing.

… Peter had a Fruitless Effort.

But when Jesus Christ stepped in; when the Owner of Joy Himself stepped into the boat, the Bible says he had a big catch – That he had to beckon on his friends to come and help him.

I Decree into your Life – Every Fruitless Efforts in your Life, every Barrenness, every Toiling without something meaningful to show. By the Grace of God, you will carry your Harvest as your Evidence, in the Name of Jesus – Amen.

*Now, the Expression of the of Joy of the Lord can be summarised as – Wonders Plus Restoration, Plus Fame, Plus End to Hardship, Plus End to Fruitless Efforts.

Gives us or Equals to the Assurance that God is in Full Control of your Life.

Let Somebody shout Hallelujah – Hallelujah!

HOW CAN WE ACTIVATE THE JOY OF THE LORD?

1. BY GIVING OFFERINGS.

In Luke 5:3 the Bible says, Peter offered his boat to Jesus Christ.

Peter gave his boat and the “Lord Jesus use it.”

And at the end, Peter went home with Great Joy.

In John 3:16, the Bible says: For God so loved the world, that He GAVE His Only Begotten Son.

God gave His Only Begotten Son. And as a result of Giving His Only Begotten Son, there are so many sons that God has gotten because He gave His Only Begotten Son.

You can also write down 1 Chronicles 29:21-22.

2. BY ASKING FOR JOY.

John 16:24, the Bible says: You have Nothing because you have not asked. Ask, and you will receive, that your Joy may be Full.

In 1 Samuel 1:9-20, Hannah went to Shiloh and she asked for a Child. Nine (9) Months’ time, she carried her evidence in the Person of Samuel.

Matthew 7:7 says Ask, and it shall be given you.

If you want the Joy of the Lord tonight – ASK.

A Closed Mouth is a Closed Destiny – You must, open your mouth tonight and ask for Joy.

Tell your neighbour: ASK FOR JOY!

3. BY BEING BORN AGAIN.

Matthew 11:28 says: Come unto me, all ye that Labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

My Brethren, there is no Joy in Labour, there is no Joy in carrying heavy laden – It is Only in Jesus Christ that there is Joy.

If you are here tonight or reading this Message now on the Label of DMC, and you are not yet Born Again, this is an opportunity to have the Joy of the Lord!

WHAT IS THE SOURCE OF THE JOY OF THE LORD?

The Source of the Joy of the Lord is simply in Jesus.

You can’t have the Joy of the Lord without God – No way!

The Joy that Men will give to you is Temporal. The Joy that Men will give to you is Momentary.

But there is something we call Everlasting Joy (Isaiah 61:11).

Isaiah 12:3 says – Therefore with Joy shall ye draw water out of the Wells of Salvation.

HOW CAN WE DRAW FROM THE WELLS OF SALVATION?

… It is with what? With JOY!

Now my question is – For this Special Holy Ghost Service, what have you come to draw?

My Brethren, there are many things to draw from the Wells of Salvation – You can draw Healing, you can draw Restoration, you can draw Wonders, you can draw End to Hardship, you can draw Promotion.

I want you to Stand Up on your feet tonight. Stand up on your feet and begin to name what you want to draw from the Lord.

What do you want to draw from the Wells of Salvation? With the Joy or the Lord open your Mouth:

I draw Healing, I draw Promotion, I draw Favour, I draw Divine Health, Upliftment, Advancement, in Jesus’ Name – Amen.

Now in Conclusion – The beginning of the Joy of the Lord is the Joy of Salvation.

The first level of the Joy is the Lord is the Joy of Salvation.

Little wonder David said in Psalns 51:12A – He said: Restore unto me the Joy of thy Salvation.

… That is the first Level of the Joy of the Lord.

ALTAR CALL

If you are here tonight or reading this Message now on the Label of DMC and you are still a Sinner – You have not given your Life to Jesus; you don’t know what the Joy of Lord is.

By the time our father-in-the-Lord comes up, when he makes the Altar Call, I beg you – If you are yet to give your Life to Jesus Christ, Please run to Altar and encounter Jesus.

Because it is only in Him you have Joy.

It is only a Sinner that sees his foolishness as his Joy.

In Proverbs 15:21, the Bible says – Folly is the Joy to him that is destitute of Wisdom.

I Pray for everyone tonight: the Full Expression of the Joy of the Lord will be made manifest in our lives – Amen.

Shall we stand on our feet as we Pray?

Please, rise up as we Pray.

You are going to open your Mouth and say: Father; Please, turn my Sorrow to Joy and give me Plenty of reasons to celebrate this Year.

Open your Mouth and Pray!

Open your Mouth and ask: Father Please, turn my Sorrow to Joy; turn my Mourning to Dancing. Give me Plenty of reason(s) to celebrate this Year.

Thank You Lord Jesus!

For in Jesus’ Name we Pray – Amen.

CLOSING PRAYER

Father, we Thank You for tonight!

We Pray Lord Jesus, for every of our sorrows, let them be overturned with Your Joy.

And Your Name alone will be Glorified – Amen!
