… The Topic before us is a very sensitive one, and you cannot accomplish it without the Holy Spirit.

So, I’ll like you to Pray a very Simple Prayer for yourself and say after me: “Holy Spirit, help me today to Achieve Marital Bliss.

Pray that Prayer for yourself!

Thank You Heavenly Father, because You have answered our Prayers.

In Jesus’ Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen!

Let everybody say a better Amen – AMEN!!!

I listened to a Preacher several years ago – He said he is an “Itinerant Preacher” – A Travelling Evangelist. “But, he cannot speak to a Travelling Audience.”

When the Audience is moving, there’s no way he or she will hear.

That’s the reason why it is essential that you are seated!

I have only Thirty (30) Minutes to achieve this great Assignment. Whatever I can’t acheive today, maybe in the future, God will give us another opportunity.

So, I am bringing you Perfect Jubilee Greetings, in the Name of the Lord Jesus – Amen.

I’m trusting God that as you have come for this Convention, your lives will never remain the same again – Amen.

I am Greeting all of us who are Seeds, and who are Seeds of Seeds! Because I know there are some of you who are already Third Generation as Believers, and maybe even Third Generation as Pastors.

What a great Privilege you have!

We didn’t have that kind of Privilege, but God has given you that kind of Privilege. And you must not take it for granted.

So, I want every Seed, and Seeds of Seed to clap for themselves – Hallelujah!

I will also like to mention the fact that I’m not taking this Invitation for granted. I know you have Thousand of Pastors to choose from.

And for you to have decided that I should come around and Speak to you on this Topic, it must be that I have found favour in your sight – So I appreciate you!

Now, March this Year (2022) marked Forty (40) Years of my Marriage – Forty (40) Years!

So, what I am about to do in the next Twenty (20) Minutes is what I would call: “A Summary of what I have learnt in Forty (40) Years of Marriage.”

I have not come here to give you Theory, to teach you what I don’t know or what I have not Practiced. Because, when it comes to the issue of Marriage, it must be Practical.

That’s why I want you to listen with both ears – Very Crucial!

BLISS: is defined as complete happiness.

Because this Topic is: LASTING MARITAL BLISS.

And when I checked the meaning of Bliss, I discovered that it is a very big word. A word that reveals to us that it is Possible to attend Heaven on Earth!

Because actually, Bliss can also be defined as Heavenly.

It can be defined as Paradise.

So, this word is showing to you that you can experience Marital Paradise here on Earth.

You can experience Marital Happiness; Complete Happiness – Just as we are talking about Perfect Jubilee.

It could also be defined as a “Dwelling Place” of Perfect Happiness for the Soul.

It could also be defined as a State of wellbeing and contentment.

… So, Marital Bliss is a State of wellbeing and contentment.

And I have decided to define Marital Bliss this way:

A situation of Complete Happiness, a State of wellbeing and contentment in a home; made Possible by the Prince of Peace.

Because the only one who can make that Possible is the Prince of Peace.

So, may I start by saying: I cannot assume that you are all Born Again – Even though you are all children of Pastors.

By virtue of my experience as a Pastor, I have discovered that there are several children of Pastors who are not Born Again.

In fact, their Percentage may be higher than those who are Born Again,.

There are several Factors (which I don’t want to discuss). But I need to start this Particular Message by telling you:

“You cannot achieve Lasting Marital Bliss, without the Prince of Peace.”

So if you desire Lasting Marital Bliss, where it begins is to ensure that you handover your Life to Jesus!

You are not handling your Life to your father or mother but to Jesus.

Because, just as your Parents experienced God, you also must experience God.

And may I tell you: Your Parents will Pray for you and as they have always been doing. And they will continue to Pray for you.

But the Greatest thing that can happen to your Life is the Prayer that you Pray for yourself.

One of the Greatest Problems of those who are born by Pastors is that – Oh, my Parents have done all the Praying.

… That would be the Greatest Mistake you can make in your Life!

Because at the end of the day, it is your Personal Walk with God that matters to Him.

So, tell your neighbour – Your Personal Walk matters to God!

Please say it very well: YOUR PERSONAL WALK MATTERS TO GOD.

So, we need to understand the fact that, Lasting Marital Bliss is achievable!

And I am happy to announce to you that to you: Lasting Marital Bliss is Achievable!

The Bible tells me in Mark 9:23: Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are Possible to him that believeth.

… All things – Not some: All things are Possible to him that believeth.

Now, the moment I mentioned the fact that Bliss is Complete Happiness; I know a lot of you will be afraid.

“Oh, how can somebody have Complete Happiness in Marriage?” How can I have Heaven on Earth in my Marriage?”

Some of you are already Married and you are having serious issues and Challenges.

It doesn’t matter what you are going through now, after I have finished Ministering to you today (and I have Prayed with you; I can assure you, that situation will Change – Amen.

I know that by the time you get back home – For those of you who are Married, you will begin to experience Lasting Marital Bliss – Amen.

Those of you who are not Married, you would be Prepared for Lasting Marital Bliss – Amen.

I also need to let you understand that Marital Bliss is a Product of Divine Human Relationship.

… It is a Product of your own Walk with God like I have mentioned.

God has His own Part to do in your home; but you also have your Part to do in your home. And it is when the two (2) merges, that is when you begin to experience Lasting Marital Bliss.

That is why the Bible says in Philippians 4:13 – I can do all things through Christ which Strengtheneth me.

“I can do all things” – There are “I must do”! Then Christ will now help me to achieve them.

And I believe that just like the Bible tells us: “Whoso findeth a wife findeth a Good Thing,” (Proverbs 18:22)

And there are several of you who are of Marriageable age, who has not found a wife – I know that before you leave here, God will open your eyes – Amen.

Now, listen to me very well: One of the reasons why I believe God has spoken to our father-in-the-Lord that you People should begin to come together, and you have this Family (Pastor’s Seed Family), being led by his son – It is because he wants you to know, God wants you to marry from His House. Your wife is here, your husband is here.

So, I want you to tell your neighbour: Shine Your Eyes!

Say is very well: SHINE YOUR EYES.

Say is again ooooo: SHINE YOUR EYES!!!

… I know many of you are happy with that!

Now, may I mention something to you – Let me tell you this: Several times that boy, that girl! Maybe God has been directing your attention in his or her Path before now. And then you are saying, “I don’t think I like him; I don’t think I like her.”

You could be making a mistake oooooh! Because that may be the Place that God is leading you.

That is the reason why you must learn to Pray about who you will marry.

One of the things that has kept me for Forty (40) Years in Marriage is that, God spoke to me specifically about who I married – Specifically!

And I can tell you, (those of us); there are some of us who didn’t marry in Church.

But someone like me – I got my wife in RCCG, got married in RCCG, gave birth to all my children in Redeemed Maternity.

Do you understand what I am telling you? So you need to understand that.

Some of you might be saying: Is it wrong for me to go and marry from Outside?

I will not say hundred Percent No! But I can tell you – It is better to marry from inside!

And one of the reason is because, you will discover later; now, listen very well oooo.

I hope you are listening?

You will discovered later that Doctrines matter – The Messages that you listen to, they matter!

I discovered very early in my Christian Life that, “if two (2) People are listening to two (2) different kinds of Music, their dancing steps will be different.”

Yes or No? – Yes! I hope you understand that?

So, if the husband comes from a certain Church, listening to a different kind of Music and the wife comes from another Church; believing in different kinds of things.

Without any doubt, it is likely that you should rule out what you having Lasting Marital Bliss.

Because from day one, there will be serious differences!

It is because of this that they counselled us several decades ago – “Bro. You must marry from the Church.”

And after Forty (40) Years, I can tell you; the People who taught us that time, they were not as educated as us. But they knew the Bible.

What they taught us has kept me for Forty (40) Years!

So what I am speaking to you today is not about how many Degrees I have collected – Not at all.

It’s simply about what God said; and has been Practiced over the Years.

Go and Study the Jews – A Jew marries a Jew. In fact, if for any reason a Jew is to marry Someone who is not a Jew; he must Change to Judaism, hundred Percent!

Why? You must ask yourself why? It’s because that is the way God has laid it down.

SEVEN (7) THINGS ABOUT LASTING MARITAL BLISS.

1. Marital Bliss is a Product of Strong Vision.

For example, one of the Questions you must ask yourself is this: “What kind of Home do we want to have?”

That was one of the Questions my wife and myself asked ourselves before we got married – “What kind of home do we want to have?”

Don’t let anybody deceive you: Because you are a Pastor’s Seed does not mean that automatically, you are going to enjoy Marital Bliss. No!

The fact that you are Born Again does not assure you Marital Bliss – Not at all.

Some of you may say: Oh Thank God we are Born Again: it will just be Roller Coaster. You will be deceiving yourself. It doesn’t mean that! “What kind of Home do we want? What is our Vision for our home?”

Organizations are run on the basis of what we call Vision and Mission Statement – You must have Vision.

It is the Vision that will take you from where you are to where you want to be and how you want to achieve it – The Mission; very important!

The moment you know the Person you are going to marry, the two (2) of you – God has spoken to you, your Pastor has said okay, you can start your Courtship.

While you are in Courtship, you must sit down and decide – “What kind of Home do we want to have?”

Strong Vision! And you will see that, that will Propel you to the future that God has in Mind for you.

I. You will be able to settle a lot of differences at that Point.

II. You will be able to grasps your Vision and your Mission Statement for the future.

III. You will be able to put it down in writing.

And for those of you who are already Married and you don’t have it; go back home, sit down and do it now.

2. Marital Bliss is a Product of the Couple’s Understanding of a Christian Marriage.

You must understand – “What is a Christian Marriage?”

… A Christian Marriage is different from other types of Marriage.

Christian Marriage is Unique; it’s distinct! Because, it is guided by what is laid down in the Sacred Scripture.

Christian Marriage is managed according to the Word of God – “What has God said?”

Anytime you have issues in your home, as long as you can ask the Question: “What does the Bible say about this?” I can assure you, you can always resolve every Problem.

That’s the reason why when we join People together, we read some Passages of Scripture – Like Ephesians 5:23-25 and Verse 28:

23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.

24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.

25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;

28 So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.

I have seen a lot of Christian husband who would say, “I am the head here; the Executive President of this Family” and they don’t love their wife!

Before Christ could insist that you should obey Him, He has first of all laid down His Life.

If the husband has not learned how to lay down his Life for his wife and for his children, he cannot command that respect.

So, you must begin by laying down your Life for your family + For your wife and for your children.

They must see that Sacrificially Living in you.They must see an example of Christ in you.

And I can assure you, when that happens, your wife will love you automatically and respect you. Your children will desire that they will have homes like your home.

Someone was sharing with me, he said that they were in a Counselling Section, and the Counsellor asked them a Question: “How many of you would like to have Marriages like that of your Parents?”

… Only one (1) or two (2) People could raise up their hands.

When the husband is not an example of Christ; and the wife is not an example of what the Bible says; the children will hate themselves that they were born into that home.

And may I tell you this – If that is your experience now; where you are in your Parents’ home, you should not repeat the same thing. Your home must be different.

So tell your neighbour – Our home will be different!

Say it very well: OUR HOME WILL BE DIFFERENT!

Many People would say, “The reason why I don’t like Marriage is because of what I have seen in the lives of my Parents.”

That is not an excuse!

What they have shown to you is, what a Christian Home should not be!

You must decide – “My own family will show to others what a Christian Home should be!”

… You must have Understanding of a Christian Family.

3. Marital Bliss is a Product of Mutual Communication and Agreement.

“Can two walk together, except they be agreed?” – Amos 3:3 (KJV)

That’s a very Good Question! A very simple Passage of the Bible but very Fundamental.

Amos 3:3, and I will read another Bible Versions –

New International Version says:

“Do two walk together unless they have agreed to do so?”

You can’t have Marital Bliss except the two of you have agreed, “we are going to live together till death do us part.”

Those Statements that we read to you (when joining you together) are not just put down there, so that we just have a ceremony and then go home. No! They are Binding Oath and Agreement that binds the two of you together till death do you path.

When I reported for my New Assignment at RCCG Central Parish Abuja, one of the Elders brought a case to me and said “Oh, there’s a couple I will like you to meet, because they have been having some Martial Problems.”

… Anytime I hear about a family having any Problem, I am always very excited about it.

So, I asked that she should invite them.

I was expecting People maybe who are in their fifties or sixties. Lo and behold, when this couple came – Maybe they were in their late twenties or early thirties.

They got married and under two (2) years their Marriage broke down – Under two (2) years!

… Marital Bliss is a Product of Mutual Communication and Agreement.

The two of us agree – We are on a journey. This journey may go through some bumps! The road may not be too straight, the road may have a lot of Potholes! But, we are on this journey together, and we will arrive.

I tell you, that is what Marriage is all about:

There are lots of Potholes, there are lots of bends here and there. Lots of Challenges.

I drove from Lagos to Freetown: it took me two (2) weeks (in the 90s). Several times, in the Forest that we Passed. There were times when I had to pass through Rivers. And those who were with me in the car had to get down and push the Vehicle inside the River. But, we were already on the journey, we can’t go back.

That is Marriage!

Whether there is a River that has no Bridge; whether there is a Valley that is difficult; whether there is a Hill that we must climb; it does not matter. Whatever we meet on the way, we must overcome it.

… Mutual Agreement! And I have weathered all that for Forty (40) Years. And I can tell categorically;

When you have agreed on that and you have made up your Mind, this is what Marriage is about, it becomes exciting.

It doesn’t matter what you are going through – Whether you are going to bed at night and there is no food. You will give Glory to God.

When we are talking about Agreement – Your Agreement must be guided by the Word of God.

Remember, Abraham and Sarah agreed that he should go in and sleep with Haggai.

Didn’t they agree? – They did! According to Genesis 16:2-4.

And Sarah said unto Abram, Behold now, the LORD hath restrained me from bearing: I Pray thee, go in unto my maid; it may be that I may obtain children by her. And Abram hearkened to the voice of Sarai…

They agreed! But that Agreement is not according to Word of God. And it wasn’t long before both of them regretted it.

Whenever you agree on a thing that God has not sanctioned or God has not directed, it will not be long, before the both of you regret it.

So when we talk about Agreement, you can agree in error! You can agree on wrong things. You must agree on things that are the Will of God.

Have I made myself understood? Yes!

4. Marital Bliss is a Product of Constant Spiritual Warfare.

… Please, take note of that!

You must understand that the devil hates Christian Marriage – You must understand that.

And I need to emphasis this because, many of us today, we live and walk and have our being on Social Media.

You know what I mean by that? Social Media controls everything about our lives.

When that happens, you must understand that the devil can use anything to fight your home. Christian Marriage is a threat to the Kingdom of Satan. The devil does not like Christian Marriages.

And one of the reasons is this:

The Bible says in Deuteronomy 32:30, How should one chase a thousand, and two put ten thousand to flight.

The devil knows that!

He knows that if the two (2) of you are living in Agreement and in Unity; if you are living according to the Will of God. When you kneel down to Pray together in your house – Just the two (2) of you, you can Change things in the Place of Prayer.

When the two of you are living in Agreement, Oh my God! You will become a threat to the devil.

That is the reason why he hates your home. That’s the reason he doesn’t like Christian Marriage and he fights it.

You know, Jesus was comparing the Kingdom of God and those who listen to Him; He was comparing them to a home.

In Matthew 7:24-27, Jesus mentioned something there. He said, rain will descend…

… He was describing different kinds of situation that can affect a home.

Rain will affect the home! He said, floods will come – These are challenges of Life. He said, Winds will blow on a house; but if it is on a Solid Rock, the house will Stand!

I Decree upon your Life: Your home will Stand – Amen.

… Let me hear you say that Amen very well – AMEN!!!

*Christian Marriages experience floods, winds, Satanic attacks of all kinds. So it doesn’t matter whether one is Born Again or not; it’s the same Problem that happens to everyone.

When you listen to Testimonies at the Redemption Camp, you will hear Pastors who will tell you, “we have been waiting on the Lord for Twenty five (25) Years before we had this child.”

These are Satanic attacks!

But because of this they didn’t run away from Christ; they didn’t leave the Church. They didn’t say, “I can’t do Ministry anymore.” No! They kept moving.

Satanic attacks will come, but you must be Prepared for constant Spiritual Warfare.

And how do we achieve that? How do we engage in that Spiritual Warfare.

5. Marital Bliss is a Product of Prevailing Prayers (Not Ordinary Prayers).

I’ll give you just one (1) Example – When you talk about Prevailing Prayers:

There was a time I had an attack in my head. I was having constant headache. I am the kind of Person who works late in the night. When I have Assignment to do, I can work: with my Prayer and Meditation and every other thing I need to do;

I can work from now till tomorrow morning without sleeping. I just like the night time, because nobody will disturb you. But when this attack came, by the time I had been sitting down for one (1) or Two (2) hours, I am in serious trouble.

And then, I began to Pray, I began to ask God. I began to Pray the kind of Prayer I used to Pray before. One day, the Holy Spirit told me, Son!

… And that’s one of the things that must happen to you: You must learn to hear God.

He said, Son! This kind cannot go without constant vigil.

From the moment He said it, I began to observe Vigil every day. And this Vigil took me five (5) Months. I mean, having Vigil everyday for five (5) Months, before the Problem disappeared.

… Prevailing Prayer!

There are Prayers you have to Pray for five (5) Years.

And talking about Spiritual Warfare, it is a situation that will require Prevailing Prayer – Prayer that you will not stop Praying until you get an answer.

May I tell you – It doesn’t matter the Problem that Presents itself, there is a Solution.

So, tell your Neighbour – Every Problem has a Solution!

Better, say it very well – Every Problem has a Solution!

Daniel was a great Man of God. In Daniel 10:12-14; Daniel had been Praying, and he had been Fasting. He was Fasting for twenty one (21) days on a certain Prayer Point. He needed some Revelation from God.

He had been Praying before and God will answer immediately. But this time, he Prayed and Prayed; and Fasted first day up to the twentieth day, nothing happened. It was the twenty first (21st) day, before the answer came.

When the answer came; when the Angel was able to break through eventually, the Angel said, “From the first day you started Praying God sent me. But the Prince of Babylon didn’t allow me to pass.”

I need to let you understand – Everyone of you, from the day you were Born Again, you are a target of the devil. And you need to understand that as Pastor’s children.

Because, you were born into a situation where somebody has been Praying for you all your Life – Praying for you to go to School, Praying for you to pass your exams. Infact, that is the reason many of you are like “Agric Chicken.”

Everything has been done for you! Everything has been Prepared for you – Dad, I am having Problem. “Don’t worry, I will go and Pray and Fast.”

LWhen we became Christians nobody was Praying for us. We had to Pray through!

We learnt Spiritual Warfare before we got married at all. Because we knew, we are going to have lots of Battles to fight in life.

May I tell you – Prepare your Mind for Warfare; Prepare your Mind to Pray through.

Make up your Mind – Beginning from now, whatever confronts me, I will deal with it in the Place of Prayer.

Because at the Place of Prayer, anything is Possible – Hallelujah!

6. Marital Bliss is a Product of Living in Contentment.

One of the reasons why there are troubles in Christian Marriages is because of the Management of Money.

I know families that have been together for decades, and they have not overcome that Problem up till now – Management of money.

They are always fighting over Financial matters.

Contentment comes as a result of your walk with God. As a result of living a Life directed by the Word of God only and not comparing yourself with another Person.

Your friend may have a Breakthrough early in Life; your own Breakthrough may come later in life.

Don’t kill yourself because your friend has a Breakthrough now and your own has not come.

Marital Bliss is a Product of living in Contentment.

Your friend did her own Wedding and they spent five Million (5,000,000). But your Parents, after they have put together everything, they couldn’t raise more than five hundred thousand Naira (#500,000). You must still have your own Wedding within five hundred thousand Naira (#500,000).

Does that make sense? Yes!

You must remember: Wedding is an Event, Marriage is a Process.

Many of you, you Prepare more for Wedding than for Marriage – You have forgotten, it’s a one day event. After you have finished the event, then the real journey has just started.

And there are different Kind of Marriages:

I. There is a Marriage where you have the who is who – Everybody in the whole Country will be there.

II. There are Marriages where you have, we and our Self – Yourself, the Person you are going to marry, the Best man, the Chief Bridesmaid, your Parents.

… As far as God is concerned, you are already married!

Always bear in Mind – Don’t compare yourself with another Person.

There are some of you who are married now, the reason why there Problems at home all the time (and you cannot Pray together) is because your husband has not been able to buy a Plasma (Television).

Because your friend already has Plasma, and you don’t have a Plasma!

So, there are troubles, and you are already telling the young man, “if you don’t buy a Plasma in this house we cannot Pray together.” If you compare yourself with another Person your journey will be bumpy.

Marital Bliss is a Product of living in Contentment..

1 Samuel 12:2-4 – And now, behold, the king walketh before you: and I am old and grayheaded; and, behold, my sons are with you: and I have walked before you from my childhood unto this day. Behold, here I am: witness against me before the LORD, and before his anointed: whose ox have I taken? or whose ass have I taken? or whom have I defrauded? whom have I oppressed? or of whose hand have I received any bribe to blind mine eyes therewith? and I will restore it you. And they said, Thou hast not defrauded us, nor oppressed us, neither hast thou taken ought of any man’s hand.

7. Marital Bliss is a Product of Holy Living.

Tell your Neighbour: It is a Product of Holy Living.

Say it very well: Marital Bliss is a Product of Holy Living.

Colossians 3:5-9 (New Living Translation). I will like to read that, because of its importance:

So put to death the sinful, Earthly things lurking within you. Have nothing to do with sexual immorality, impurity, lust, and evil desires. Don’t be greedy, for a greedy Person is an idolater, worshiping the things of this world. Because of these sins, the anger of God is coming. You used to do these things when your Life was still part of this world. But now is the time to get rid of anger, rage, malicious behavior, slander, and dirty language. Don’t lie to each other, for you have stripped off your old sinful nature and all its wicked deeds.

… That’s the Bible! Don’t listen to anyone who tells you otherwise.

There are some of you who have been so Pampered from home – You have whatever you want. You get angry, and when you get angry, nobody must stay in your way. Even your Parents, they must get out of your way when you are angry.

May I tell you – You better deal with your anger; or else, you won’t have a home.

There was a couple in a certain Church: whenever there’s disagreement in the family, the wife must break something before she can cool down.

… You have seen that kind of thing before?

So, eventually she has broken everything in the house. She broke all the plates, broke Television, Radio, computer; broke this, broke that!

Then one morning they were Preparing to go to work and there was disagreement again. And she looked around, she didn’t see anything to break. She went downstairs and broke the windscreen of the husband’s car.

This is a true story!

Then the husband said, enough is enough! The husband took her to the Pastor, “Sir, this woman has broken everything breakable. Because there is nothing to break again; when we have disagreement next time, she will break my head.”

This is a true story!

And there are some of you, when you fly into rage, you are like a wild beast.

You better deal with your anger now. Or your anger will kill you.

Colossians 3:12-14; Put on therefore, as the Elect of God, Holy and beloved, bowels of Mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of Perfectness.

The reason why I have raised this last issue is because of the Sexual Revolution in your age. In your age, you have Problem not only with Adultery and fornication; but, you are now having Problem with “LGBTQ” – You know what I am talking about.

Homosexualism, Lesianism Bisexualsm, Transgenderism, have become a way of Life in your Generation.

But, it must never be mentioned among you at all. They are Sexual Perversions.

When you begin to live your Life by what is trending on the Nets; by what they call, Inclusiveness, by what People are up to here and there – Which is contrary to the Word of God, you must know, that you cannot enjoy Marital Bliss.

You want to enjoy Marital Bliss? All these things must never cross your way.

That is the reason why when you have Problems in any of these areas, seek for Counsel immediately. Seek for Prayers – They are demonic Problems.

And if there is anything the enemy has Planned for your Future, that he has already Planted there: Any ditch along your Path, any Pit that the enemy has dug, any trap whatsoever:

We Decree in the Name that’s above every other name, the Almighty God shall remove them now!
