BIBLE TEXT: ISAIAH 60:1

OPENING PRAYER

Almighty Father we have come before, You are Worthy of our Worship, you are Worthy of our Praises.

We thank You for Preserving our lives, we thank You for keeping us, Protecting us, defending us, making it Possible for us to be Part of this year’s Annual Convention 2023 – Father take all the Glory in the Name of Jesus.

We asked Lord, all that you have Proposed to do in our lives, the blessing that you have determine to release into our lives, Father Please do so in the Name of Jesus.

By the time this Convention is over, we are asking Lord, that None of us remain the same.

We are asking oh Lord that we will all begin to go in the direction You have Ordained for our lives.

Let it be so in the Name of Jesus.

And in this few Minutes that we will look into Your Words, we are asking Lord Please touch our lives like never before, Perfect all that concerns us.

Thank you my dear Father.

In Jesus Mighty Name we have Pray – Amen.

I want somebody to say Praise the Lord – Hallelujah!

God bless you!

Please have your seat and let’s turn our Bible to the Book of Isaiah 60:1.

Arise, Shine; for thy Light is come, and the Glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.

I Pray for you that the Glory of God will continue to show in your own lives in the Name of Jesus – Amen.

I am speaking on the Theme of your Convention – “ARISE”.

1. Arise is a Call to Action.

So when that words comes, usually it is calling for Action.

2. Arise means to get up from sitting, lying or kneeling Position.
3. It also means to wake up.
4. Of course to arise, also means to ascend.

I Pray for you – From now, you will begin to go Higher and Higher – Amen

I’m sure you also know, when we say Arise, this is a call to Action:*

1. It depends on who is speaking.

If God says to you Arise, you know straight away that – That is a Command, it is not Negotiable.

When God say Arise, He expect Action from you.

And I Pray that because of what God has been saying to us over this Weekend, we all as Good Children of God we will obey and we will arise in the Name of Jesus – Amen.

2. But do you know that you yourself can also tell God arise.

When you say Arise to God, it’s not the same thing as when God says Arise to you.

When you say arise to God, you’re only making a Plea, It’s a prayer.

You are asking God to arise for you.

*And I Pray for you today, God will arise for you – Amen.

I just want us to look into the Word of God and then see what happened.

1. When God for example talk to some People and told them Arise – Because today God is also talking to us, God is saying Arise.

Now if we go to 1 Samuel 16 :12 – And he sent, and brought him in. Now he was ruddy, and withal of a beautiful countenance, and goodly to look to. And the LORD said, Arise, anoint him: for this is he.

I’m sure we are familiar with that Story – God sent Samuel to the house of Jesse, He told him that He was going to anoint one of His sons as King of Israel.

Samuel got there, and after looking at the seventh (7th) son of Jesse, God rejected all of them, Samuel had to ask Jesse, do you still have another son, and the man said yes and Samuel said, you just have to go and get him.

They sent words for him and the Bible like I read to you, the moment David stepped into the house, God spoke to Samuel telling him to arise and anoint him.

Brethren, God is saying Arise to you this afternoon because God has a Plan for your Life, and God wants to use you as His Vessel.

You can imagine if Samuel had anointed someone else on that day, he will have disrupted the Plans of God, he will have delayed the Plan of God for David.

But thank God, Samuel cooperated with God, he obeyed God, he anointed David.

My Prayer is that you yourself, you will not fail God as a Vessel in His Hand because there is somebody somewhere that God wants you to bless.

There is somebody somewhere that God wants you to put that Person in the right Position.

I Pray for you that you will not disappoint God in the Name of Jesus – Amen.

So Arise and do whatever God has asked of you to do – You will have reason to rejoice in due course in Jesus Name – Amen!

2. I want us to look at another situation, when it was an Angel of God that spoke this time to a man -1 King 19: 5 and 7.
3. And as he lay and slept under a juniper tree, behold, then an angel touched him, and said unto him, Arise and eat.
4. And the angel of the LORD came again the second time, and touched him, and said, Arise and eat; because the journey is too great for thee.

Again I’m sure this Particular account we are familiar with it – Elijah was discouraged.

Elijah who had just had a very great success, suddenly was confronted with a situation – His Life was threatened, the Queen Promised to cut off his head and in total dis- illusionment, Elijah ran away.

He went to hiding and there, He asked God to just kill him – He felt he had had enough and it was better to just end it all like that.

But God knows better – God said this man, I won’t kill him, I know he’s hungry, and the Angel came to him.

He woke him up, He said arise, eat. He eat but fell asleep a second time. The Angel still come back and ask him, arise, eat.

What is important is what happened after that.

I. We are told that in the Strength of the food he took, Elijah went ahead 40 Days, 40 Nights and of course after that he did some Great Exploits for God.

You may be here today, or reading now on the Label of DMC – Totally discouraged. You are discouraged because of the things you see around you – You had your ideas at the time you went to School, you are out of school now, and you thought things will go in a Particular way.

Unfortunately, because of the event all around us, things are not just going in that direction and you are totally dis illusioned,. Even in the Church, you looked around you and you are not happy with some things that you are seeing.

I want to tell you today – Don’t be discouraged! God is saying Arise!

By the time Elijah said God kill me, if God had killed him or if Elijah had taken his own life, then the event in 2 Kings 1, how will those ones have happened?

Because in 2 Kings 1, by the time you read from Verse 1 to 12 – 2 Kings 1:1-12; you see what this same Elijah did. The same Person that was discouraged, we see what he did, because he called down Fire from Heaven and more than one hundred (100) men were roasted.

He was discouraged at a Point, but God Provided Strength for him.

I Pray for you that by the reason of all that you have been exposed to over this weekend, the Lord will give you Strength – The Lord will give you Strength to do Greater Exploits for Him – Amen. And that will be your Portion in the Name of Jesus Amen!

So Please Arise – As far as you’re concerned, the end has not yet come, God has not given up on you, and the Plans and the Purpose of God for your Life they will come to Pass Amen!

So this is the reason why you must not give up.

Please can you help tell somebody sitting close to you Arise! – Arise!

3. Let’s move on to the third (3rd) situation, this time – God is talking to somebody who was just idling away.

In Joshua 1:2, the children of Israel, they left Egypt with one agenda – The agenda was, they were to go to the Promised Land.

But before getting to the Promised Land, their leader Moses passed away, and of course the whole of Israel mourned him throughout that time. They were not moving again.

In other words throughout that Period, the Plan of God for their lives they were not Pursuing it.

In Verse 2 of Joshua Chapter 1, God had to intervened – God spoke to Joshua, God said; Moses my Servant is dead, now therefore, Arise, go over this Jordan, you and all these People, to the Land which I’m giving to them, the children of Israel.

Brethren for some of us, the way we are now, we are not as active as we used to be – When we were in School, we are hot for God, we were all over the Place for God. We took the Kingdom Business very seriously, but now the Story is not the same – The fire has died down.

I want to tell you today – You have not yet reached your goal, but you will get there. I say you will reach your goal Amen!

So don’t allowed the fire to go down – That same zeal with which you served the Lord when you were in School, you must keep it up, because, Jesus made a Statement, He said, it is only those who endured to the end, they shall be saved.

You will make it to the end Amen!

The Lord Jesus, also in Matthew 9:37, He made a Statement – He said the Harvest is truly Plentiful, but the Laborers are few.

I don’t want you to ever forget that even as of now, there are still many People who have not yet heard the Gospel, and the reason why they have not heard is because nobody has talked to them about it.

There are many young People like yourself who do not know the Lord Jesus Christ, but you know it; that the Mind of God, is that, Nobody should miss Heaven.

God is therefore counting on you, just as He is counting on me to win Souls for Him, God is counting on all of us to remain hot and useful in the house of God.

So in your Local Assembly what are you doing there?

Some of you even when you are in School, because you are a Leader, they will call you “Papa”, but now in your Local Assembly, Nobody even knows you – That is not Good!.

For all of us it should be – Forward ever, backward never.

You will never go back – Amen!

So let’s us all Arise, don’t let us relax when there are still work to do.

There is still so much Land to conquer, there is still so many Souls to be won for Christ.

This is the reason why you must Arise.

The Lord will help us, I said the Lord will help us in the Name of Jesus – Amen!

4. I will give you yet another Example – We are still looking at that word Arise.

The Lord Jesus Christ took three (3) of His Disciples to the Mount of Transfiguration, and there in their Presence, they saw the Glory of God, because, Jesus transformed, and the Glory was too much for them.

When they heard the voice of God and they saw Elijah, they saw Moses talking with Jesus – It was too much for them.

The Bible says, they fell flat on their faces on the ground.

After sometime, the Lord came to them, Jesus came to them, He touched them and He said, Arise and do not be afraid.

5. Brethren, Apostle Paul had exactly the same experience.

He was on his way to Damascus when he had that encounter with Jesus – Acts of Apostles 9: 4-6.

He also fell flat on the ground because of the encounter he had with the Glory of God.

The Lord Jesus had to speak to him, Arise.

I suspect some of you are already encountering and experiencing the Multiple Wonders of God, and you are odd by this, you are saying that, Ha! this is too much.

Yes there is Nothing wrong with that reaction, but what God is telling you is Arise, because He will still do more for you.

God is saying Arise, because He will still show more of His Glory to you.

God is saying Arise, because you will still encounter God even in an higher level, that will be your Portion – Amen.

So this is the reason why you must keep on doing the good things that you are doing.

This is the reason why you must not relax.

This is the reason why you must continue even at a higher level, doing exactly what you’re already doing – That way, you will discovered that very, very, shortly, you will begin to encounter God even in a greater dimension in the name of Jesus – Amen.

6. Then, do you know that Jesus even spoke to the dead?

When He spoke to the dead, He said Arise, and that make a difference.

Jesus followed Jarius to his house – Jarius daughter has passed on, Jesus get to the house and assured the People that, there was no Problem, that the girl was just sleeping.

Bible recorded it that, the People there, they made jest of Jesus – That this man does not know what He is saying.

But in Luke 8:54-55; the Bible says:

54. And he put them all out, and took her by the hand, and called, saying, Maid, arise.
55. And her spirit came again, and she arose straightway: and he commanded to give her meat.

I don’t know if you took note of it, but the Bible told us that at the Command of Jesus, the Spirit of Jarius daughter which had left the body, returned into that body and with that, the girl came alive again.

As many of you that are here today or reading now on the Label of DMC – And Spiritually are dead, but you’re still going through the motions, you are still going to Church, you are still singing chorus, you are still doing everything which the Children of God do, I speak the Word of God to you today, that may your Spirit be quickened in the Name of Jesus – Amen!

Receive Strength to run your Christian race in the Name of Jesus -Amen!

Every Agenda of the enemy to render you Heavenly Useless are hereby destroyed in the Name of Jesus – Amen!

Where the enemy think your case is closed, because normally when somebody dies, everybody will say “Case Closed”. But as far as you’re concerned, the enemy think that your case is closed, God will surprise the enemy simply because of you (Amen!)

This is the reason why God is saying to you today, Arise because when God spoke to Jarius daughter Arise, she got up.

You too will Arise, I said you will arise.

The enemy will not have Power over you anymore in the Name of Jesus – Amen.

7. But then do you know that, you can speak to yourself – The Prodigal son spoke to himself.

In Luke 15 :8, the Prodigal son said – I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee,

You know what happened to the Prodigal son – He messed up big time, and he suffered.

But at a Particular point in time, the Bible says, he came to himself.

In other words, he came back to his senses – That listene, why am I suffering like this, even servants in my father’s house, they have more than enough food to eat.

I will Arise, I will go back to my father.

Remember, he went back to his father – Not to tell the father that, Daddy am back, No!

He went back to his father to apologised for messing up, and then to plead that the father will just accept him as a servant – That was his Plan.

But you know the rest of the Story, because what happened to him he couldn’t imagine it, it was beyond his expectations.

And as you also Arise, God will do for you, things by far, beyond your expectations because the Bible says very clearly, the only Prayers of the sinners that God will hear, is a Prayer for forgiveness of sins.

God will hear it, God will show Mercy, He said so.

The Prodigal son said I will arise – He decided by himself to make a U-turn and then went back home.

That was the beginning of New Things for him.

If you yourself, Perhaps you have derailed, you are in a backsliding state, like the Prodigal sons, he made up his mind that – No! I can’t continue like this, I will arise, I will make a U-turn, I will go and apologise.

You too can decide, knowing fully well that your state now, is not how it should be, you know it yourself that where you are, is not where God expects you to be, you know you have done and you are doing things that do not make God to be happy, to be Pleased with you.

Like the Prodigal son did, you too can say, I will Arise and go to my father.

• Doing so will be wise.
• Doing so will open the door of better things.
• Doing so will make the Plans of God to begin to work in your life again.

The Lord will help all of us in the Name of Jesus – Amen!

8. Finally, at the beginning I told you that when God Arise, it is not advice, it is a Command.

The Bible says; when God Command, it’s stand firm – Nothing can Change it.

So it is only a foolish Person that will refuse to obey the Command of God.

But when you tell God Arise, it is a Plea, you are Praying.

If you read Psalms 68:1-3; you will see the Psalmist telling God to Arise for his sake, he was asking God to fight for him.

Perhaps you yourself, you are faced with Challenges, you are fighting battles with enemies that are too Strong for you.

Why don’t you ask God today to Arise for your sake, because God is a Man of war – God has never lost a battle before, and He will not lose the battles of your Life.

This is why I hope you will call on Him today to Arise for your sake.

In Malachi 4:2, the Bible says: But unto you that fear my Name shall the Sun of Righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.

I don’t know if you are here today or reading now on the Label of DMC – And you are sick in your body, you can call on God to Arise.

Bible says, He Arise with healing in His wings – You can call on God, and tell Him to Arise and heal you.

The Lord will heal you, the Lord will touch you in the Name of Jesus – Amen!

Brethren at this Point, I will call on all of us.

Please let’s be on our feet – I want us to stand, we want to Pray.

I’m therefore saying, Arise.

GENERAL PRAYERS

Yes, let’s be on our feet, we want to cry unto God – We want to Pray because the Psalmist at a Point in his Life cry unto God:
Arise! oh! Lord let’s thy enemies be scattered.

1. I don’t know if you have any battles that you are fighting yourself, and you know that on your own, you can’t make it.

But God is a “Ready-Ally” – Cry unto the Lord now, cry unto Him.

Father Arise! Arise for my sake, let everyone of my enemies be scattered.

Please talk to Him, talk to him, talk to Him.

What are the Problems, what are the battles that you are fighting – Our God is a Man of war. He is a man of war, He is able, more than able.

Ask Him to Arise, ask him to Arise for your sake, this afternoon ask Him to fight your battle for you.

Yes you have the fear, you have the fear to confront the future, you are not sure of what the future has in store for you.

Talk to the Lord, after all, He is the one who said, say ye to the righteous, your tomorrow shall be alright.

It does not matter what may be happening around you, tell the Lord to Perfect your tomorrow.

Ask Him to make way for you, even when it’s appears to be no way.

Please talk to the Lord, talk to the Lord.

Ask Him to Arise for you – What you cannot do, God can do it for you, where you cannot go, God can go there for you.

This is why you should call on Him to Arise for you and those things that are making you to fear, those things that are disturbing you – Talk to the Lord about them now, ask Him to help you Lord.

2. I still want you to call on the Lord, if you are here today or reading now on the Label of DMC – And you have a Health Challenge or the other, you’re not feeling Strong.

You can cry unto the Lord – Asking Him to Arise, asking Him to Arise with Healing in His wings.

Please talk to the Lord, talk to the Lord.

He is our Healer, He has made the Promise and He can handle every Sickness, every Diseases.

Yes ask Him to Arise with Healing in His wings.

Yes ask for His touch upon you this afternoon, from the crown of your head to the soles of your feet.

Ask that the Lord will touch you, ask that the Lord will Perfect your Health.

Yes ask the Lord to Arise with Healing in His wings.

You need Divine Touch? Ask Him to touch you this afternoon in the Name of Jesus.

Thank you mighty Father!

Blessed, blessed be your Holy Name.

In Jesus Mighty Name we Pray – Amen.

3. We are still in the attitude of Prayer.

I still want you to call on the Lord, because God loves you – God wants to show case His Power in your Life and this is the Privileged that you have.

This is the reason why I’m asking you to call on Him to Arise for you, so while others are Praying.

 ALTAR CALL 

Is there anybody here like the Prodigal son.

What you are saying is that – I will Arise, I will make a U-turn and I will go back to my Father.

You know that the kind of Life, you are living right now is not the type that God has Ordained for your Life.

You know, you are not doing exactly what God wants you to do, and you now see the need for you to make a U-turn.

You have the Promises of God, He will forgive you, He will show Mercy.

So if there is anyone in this Assembly, while the others are still Praying, calling on the Lord to Arise for them, but you are saying, I will go to my Father, anywhere you are in this Assembly.

Just lift your hand above your head, and wave to the Lord.

Lift your hand above your head, wave to the Lord – Just trying to let the Lord know the decision you are making within yourself.

I will Arise!, I will Arise.

I want a Change.

I want to re-dedicate my Life, I will Surrender to Jesus.

Yes, if that is what you are saying, can you do more than that.

Please just take a step, come to the front here, come to the front.

The Prodigal son made the decision – I will arise. He never turned back, he went to His father and he got by far beyond his expectations.

You are here, and you are saying yes I will Arise, I will go to my Father, I will ask for Mercy.

Wherever you are, Please come.

Please let’s come quickly, let’s come.

The important thing is that the Lord has given His words, He said He will show Mercy.

If you are coming Please come, and if you’re not coming, we will do some other things.

Thank you father, we bless your Name Lord, we give Glory to you. Thank you Jesus.

Are you also arising.

You see the need for you to re-dedicate your Life, to get serious with the Lord. You are going to Church yet.

But you know it, between you and God, things are not alright, but you want to get things in the proper shape.

Please quickly come now and join those who are already infront.

There is Nothing to be afraid of – The Joy is that God has made a Statement that He will forgive.

For those of you that are infront already, Please tell the Lord – Speak! open your mouth, speak to the Lord, say Father have Mercy on me, simple.

Ask Him to have Mercy on you, ask Him to forgive you all of your sins, ask Him to wash you with the Blood of Jesus.

If there is anything that you have done, that you yourself know are not right, every sins that you have committed; ask God – Confess them to the Lord now, He is standing by you, just ask Him to forgive you.

Proverbs 28:13, He had say it there, that whosoever covers his sins shall not prosper, but whosoever confess it and forsake the sin shall obtain mercy.

So confess to Him now all of those things, and you are assured that the mercy of God will be your portion.

I want you all to begin to bring your Prayers to a close,

In Jesus Mighty Name we Pray – Amen!

I want to Pray with you now.

PRAYER FOR SALVATION

Almighty Father, we Thank You – We Thank You Specially for this Your daughters and your sons whom today have determine within themselves.

They said I will Arise. Lord they have arisen, they have come to you for Mercy, they have ask for Your Mercy.

Father, Please show Mercy to them.

Father, Please forgive them all of their sins.

I’m asking oh Lord that this Day, let’s it be a Special Day in their lives, write their names in the Book of Life.

And I Pray oh Lord, that the Power to be sons of God, released on this ones in the Name of Jesus.

Father we thank you, we give Praise to you,

In Jesus Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen!

Praise the Name of the Lord – Hallelujah!

So congratulation to you!

Please there is someone to your left hand side, He is waving, can you go and meet him, go and meet him.

Thank you Lord! thank you Lord. Blessed, blessed, be your Holy Name.

Now I just want to pray for everyone of you.

CLOSING PRAYER

Almighty Father we Thank You – We Thank You for the lives of everyone of this Your Children.

Daddy you are the One who decided to talk to them, instructing them to Arise.

I Pray oh Lord, as they Arise, back them up.

As they Arise, Father hold them by the hand and take them higher – Do so Lord in the Name of Jesus.

Daddy as they Arise, I’m asking that you will surprise them.

Multiples Blessings, Multiple Wonders; let these be their Portion; by far beyond their Expectations. Do so in their lives.

As many as are lukewarm already; I Pray oh Lord re-fired them, let that zeal return in the Name of Jesus.

Many that may be discouraged, worried, because of the Conditions in the Country and everywhere, I ask oh Lord, help them to focus on You again, because it was after you feed Elijah that he called down fire and fire kept on coming down.

I Pray Lord, help this Your Children, refire them oh Lord, empower them afresh in the Name of Jesus.

All the lives You want them to touch for You, I Pray Lord help them to do so in the Name of Jesus.

None of this Your Children will be a disappointment to You, they will fulfill all their Destinies in the Name of Jesus.

As it was written for David that he accepted his own Generation, I Pray Lord for this one’s, that they too will be a Blessings to their own Generations.

Your Program for their Life in this their Generation, they will fulfill everything in the Mame of Jesus.

And Father, we are asking You today, as many as have come to this Place today and they are sick in their bodies – There are sickness they are struggling with, there are affliction in one way or the other.

Father arise with healings in Your wings, put an end to all the sicknesses and disease in the Name of Jesus.

Father Glorify Your Name in the lives of Your Children.

Thank you Daddy, Thank You Lord!

Blessed be to Your Holy Name.

In Jesus Mighty Name we have Pray – Amen.

Let’s one Person shout Hallelujah – Hallelujah!!!
