OPENING PRAYER

King of kings and Lord of lords, the Ancient of Days, the Unchangeable Changer – We Worship You.

Our Maker, our Provider, our Deliverer, our All in all – Glory be to Your Holy Name.

Father, we Thank You that we are here again this Year (2025).

Thank You for all You’ve done for us in this Campus (DMC NOTES: Obafemi Awolowo University) since the last time we were here.

Thank You for what You would do today and tomorrow.

Father, accept our Worship, in Jesus’ Name.

My Lord and my Saviour, I am asking that today, in the lives of every one Present, including those reading now on the Label of DMC:

You would do something we would never forget.

Let every Mountain be moved tonight;

Let the Name of Jesus be Glorified.

Please, don’t let anyone leave here without a Miracle.

And Lord, continue to Bless this Great University – Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) Ile Ife, Osun State Nigeria.

In Jesus’ Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen.

Well, let Somebody shout a Great Hallelujah – Hallelujah!

Then shake hands with one (1) or two (2) People and tell them: God will surprise you today.

And then, just in case you are not sure of that; why don’t you turn to the fellow on the other side and say: God will surprise me today!

And then you may Please, be seated.

God Bless You – Amen.

We want to bless the Name of the Lord, for bringing us here again.

I think we’ve been coming to Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) now, for just a little more than Forty (40) years.

And the Almighty God has kept on bringing us again and again and again.

And He has brought us here again today, because at the Name of Jesus, definitely any knee that has been working against your Destiny is going to bow – Amen.

We would be taking our Bible Text from Philippians 2: 5-11:

5 Let this Mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:

6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:

7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of Men:

8 And being found in fashion as a Man, he humbled himself, and became Obedient unto death, even the death of the Cross.

9 Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a Name which is above every name:

10 That at the Name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in Heaven, and things in Earth, and things under the Earth;

11 And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the Glory of God the Father.

IN THE NAME OF JESUS

The first (1st) Question that would come to your Mind when we begin to talk about the Name of Jesus is: Who Exactly is Jesus?

Who is the Person at whose Name all knees must bow?

Well, there is something in the Scriptures, and I think it is true in every Spheres of Life;

There is something called “The Principle of the First Mentioned.”

It applies Particularly to names.

For example, when you call me Pastor Adeboye – You are actually mentioning the name of my father. You don’t know his own father’s name, because the father’s name was not mentioned.

Now, his name (Adeboye) became mentioned, by the Grace of God, through me.

And now my children, when they have their own children, they call their children, Adeboye.

My great-grandchildren, when they begin to arrive, would also be called Adeboye.

Their father’s name is swallowed up by the name that was first mentioned (Adeboye).

So, for you to fully understand the Name of Jesus, we will need to go back to the first time any reference was made to Him at all – His very, very first mentioned name that swallowed up every other name you may call Him later in Life..

And according to Isaiah 7:14, the first time the Name of Jesus Christ was mentioned was when a Prophet made a Prophecy – That if he wasn’t a true and highly respected Prophet, could have cost him his Life.

When a Prophet suddenly got up and said, “God will give you a Sign – Behold a Virgin shall conceive.”

Everybody would have said, what did you say? A Virgin would conceive?

But he was already a highly respected Prophet – They knew that he was no doubt a Prophet from God.

And then he said, that boy that would be born and His Name shall be called “Emmanuel” – Meaning, “God with us.”

So, every time you say Jesus! You are actually saying Emmanuel.

Emmanuel means, “God with us”.

So, when you shout Jesus! What you are saying is: God is with me.

Do I hear Somebody shout Jesus – Jesus.

And the Bible says, If God be for us, who can be against us?

That’s why, when you shout Jesus, you are saying to whatever Problem is facing you, “God is with me.”

I. When you face Sickness that seems to be threatening your Life, and you shout Jesus – You are saying to that Sickness, you are attacking the wrong Person.

II. When you find yourself in Debt, and Lack of Money is about to truncate your Destiny; It is time to call on the Name of Jesus.

III. When you have Forces of Darkness threatening your Success, and you shout Jesus – You are saying to that demon: You are attacking the wrong Person.

HIS OTHER NAMES

Later on, He acquired Several other Names:

1. King of kings:

Revelation 17:14 calls Him the King of kings.

And according to Ecclesiastes 8:4, Where the word of a king is, there is Power: and who may say unto him, What doest thou?

So, He is the Original Majesty – You can’t query Him.

2. The Word:

In John 1:1, 14, He is called the Word: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. In him was Life; and the Life was the Light of Men.

3. The Creator:

In John 1:3, it is by that Word that all things were made.

This same Emmanuel is the One who created you – He made all Things.

And because He made all Things, then according to Jeremiah 32:27, He can say: Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?

So, when you shout Jesus, you are actually saying: My case will not be Impossible – Amen.

4. The LORD of Hosts:

In Psalms 24:7-10, He is called the LORD of Hosts.

He Controls all Forces: Whether in Heaven, whether on Earth, whether underneath the Earth.

5. The Most High:

In Psalms 91:1, He is called the Most High. He is also called the Almighty.

6. Higher than the highest:

In Ecclesiastes 5:8, He is the One who is called the Higher than the highest.

7. Controller of Everything:

In Isaiah 66:1, He is the One who is called the Controller of everything.

Because that Passage says: Thus saith the LORD, The Heaven is my Throne, and the Earth is my footstool: where is the house that ye build unto me? and where is the Place of my rest?

In other words, everything that may be going on here on Earth, are under His Feet.

So, when situations seem about to be out of Control and your heart is about to shake; Suddenly you remember a Name that assures you that the situation is under Control- Jesus!

Even if I stop here, somebody can go through the rest of Life, knowing: “My situation is under Control-.”

• That there is no way I can Fail.
• There is no way I can fail to reach my Goal.
• There is no way any enemy: whether from my father’s side, from my mother’s side, or my Place of work, can Overpower me.

Because, there is no situation I may face: God is with me!

1. EMERGENCY IN THE AIR:

If there is an emergency in the Air – If all of a sudden you find yourself in the air and there is an emergency there;

Normally, when man was created, he was supposed to be on the Earth, working on the Earth.

Suddenly you remember that there is Someone who is far above Principalities and Powers.

So if the Problem is on the Air; If the Problem you are facing can be traced to those who can fly at Night; you have the confidence, that as long as the Name of Jesus is not taken away from your mouth, you would have Victory.*

I’ll be sharing with you a couple of Testimonies, some of which you’ve Probably heard before.

You can be in the air by flying in an Aeroplane or Helicopter.

I was traveling to London, we were already in the air.

As soon as they close the door of the Aeroplane, you know your Life is in the hand of God. Because if there is any Problem in the Air, there is nowhere to Park.

So, we were already up, and we were about to eat. And the Captain made an Announcement: Ladies and Gentlemen, the Weather Boys in London have told us that by the time we arrive, there’ll be a Storm over there in London. “But don’t worry, we will manage to land.”

The man who was sitting next to me froze! He couldn’t eat.

I was a Young Man, hungry as every Young Man can be.

And if you are in Economy, they don’t give you too much food – They just give you Plenty of Coke to shock it up.

And so, I looked at him, he wasn’t eating.

Well, I blessed my food and ate.

When I finished eating my own, I looked at him and said Sir, you are not eating?

He looked surprised. He said, you mean you understand English? I said yes, I do. “You heard what the Captain said?” I said, yes I did. He was surprised!

Then I asked him again, “you are not eating?” He said, No! “Can I help you?” (Laughter).

So, I took his tray, I gave him my own; finished his food and went to sleep.

When we were about to land in London, the Captain came back and said: Well, Ladies and Gentlemen, the Weather Boys have deceived us. The storm they said would be in London is actually in Scotland.

I looked at the Man, he looked at me and the two of us began to laugh – I was laughing because he can’t get his food back and he was laughing because, “Thank God, I’m going to land safely.”

… What gave me Peace? Jesus!

Every Storm that may be coming your way will be diverted today – Amen.

And so, if there is any attack from the Air – Because Philippians 2:5-12 says He has a Name that’s above every other name; whether in Heavens, on Earth or underneath the Earth.

If there is any attack against you in the Air, there is just one Name – Jesus!

2. ATTACK ON LAND

What if there is an attack on Land?

Psalms 24:2 says, The Earth is the LORD’s, and the Fullness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.

If the attack is coming from Enemies; as long as they are walking on this Land, any atrack on you would fail. Because the One who owns the Earth is also the One called Jesus.

When you shout Jesus, you are telling those Forces: I have the Almighty God with me.

I will share with you two (2) Testimonies quickly on that:

Years ago, I went to my Town for a Wedding Program. And I remembered that I ran away from home in 1960 because there was a quarrel between my dad and some People. And the People told my dad that they would see how old I would get before I die.

He came home, told my mum, “I had a quarrel with some People, this is what they said.” That Night my mum took me and we fled! Because those who said, “we will see how far he would get before he dies;” they are People who can use other People for breakfast. So I didn’t wait!

Years Past, I had given my Life to Jesus, and I went to conduct a Wedding. Lo and behold, those People were there in the Church, to support the fellow who was getting married.

I was much Younger than now – I had a lot of zeal not much Wisdom. I saw an opportunity to hit back at them.

And mine oh mine, I hit them hard because I knew, now they can’t handle me: because I I have a Name – Jesus.

The Wedding finished and I left for Lagos.

These People, to tell you how tough they could be – Things have Changed now. Thank God the Gospel has settled that thing in my Town.

They went to the mother of the girl who got married, they said: it’s because your daughter is getting that made that boy to come and insult us. We will deal with you when your daughter is Pregnant; “we will see where she would deliver.”

The Mother ran to me and said, see the trouble you’ve caused.

I told her, those who came to talk to you walked on Land. My Father owns the Land! I said, “the day your daughter would deliver, they would all be fast asleep.”

May I decree to Somebody here today, inclusive those reading now on the label of DMC?

Anyone walking on Land, that says you won’t reach your Goal: the day you’ll reach your Goal, they’ll be fast asleep – Amen.

The day that Lady was going to deliver, she came to the Redemption Camp to work. She wasn’t even aware she was due. Mummy G.O had to look for everything necessary to support the Baby.

Today, that Girl that was born; that they said would never be born, is a Medical Doctor – Hallelujah!

If an attack comes against you from Land, as long as the attacker is coming by Land, and the Land belongs to my God: you will have Victory – Amen.

I’ll tell you another Testimony – This one happened here on this Campus (Obafemi Awolowo University, OAU) – Unfortunately I didn’t ask the fellow concerned, “which Hall?”

He was a Student here, but he became a Member of one of the Major Cults in Town – Not even on Campus but the real big ones, and not the Jokers who call themselves Cultists here on Campus.

He was their Secretary, so he kept records of all their atrocities.

Then he became Born Again – He went and returned all their books. And they asked him, “what do you say you’ve become?” He said, I am Born Again. So I am not Participating with you anymore: that’s why I have returned your books. “You are no longer Part of us?” He said, yes. “With all the Secrets you know?” You are dead!

And he smiled and said, we will find out who is Stronger – The One who is called the Almighty, or those of you? True Story!.

Then one Night, he had just finished Studying in the Library and went back to his Hostel.

In those days there were three (3) beds in each room – One to the right, one to the left, and one facing the door. His own bed was the one facing the door.

The other Students were fast asleep. He came in and locked the door. There was Light in the veranda; so you could see a little in the room, even when the lights are switched off.

He was about to Pray and go to sleep – And you know the kind of Prayer you Pray when you are tired: “Lord, Thank You for today, see You tomorrow.” And as he was lying down the Spirit of God came to him and said, Pray.

Okay! That Prayer was too short – Lord, Thank You very much. Thank You for the Salvation of my Soul. We will discuss more tomorrow. Good Night.

And the Spirit of God said, Son Pray!

To cut a long Story short, as the Spirit of God said, “Son Pray!” He said, okay Lord, if You want me to keep a vigil, here we go. He was kneeling the third time to Pray, when a demon – Very huge, very dark walked through the door that was shut.

And when he looked up: “In the Name of Jesus” that he said then was not the casual one you have been saying. When he Roared – In the Name of Jesus! That thing stopped!

When he saw that the thing stopped, he kept on saying, In the Name of Jesus, I rebuke you! And the thing began to move backwards until it went out.

When he was telling me the Story I said; “Are you sure you didn’t Dream this up?” He said, I would have thought it was a Dream, except that when I was shouting, the boy on the bed on the left side rolled over; and one of his legs was out from the bed.

As the demon was moving back, his leg touched its hand. By the following Morning, the leg was as big as a log of wood. That boy spent a whole Session away from the University.

The leg touched the hand by accident; Imagine what would have happened if the hand had touched the head of our brother!

But there is a Name that’s above every other name – Jesus!

3. EMERGENCY AT SEA

Now, if there is an emergency at Sea; I know you’ll say, “where are we going to get a sea here?”

But you never can tell; one of these days you might be able to go on a Cruise and then you’ll see what the sea is like.

It’s easy to take Pictures of the sea. But if you go on a Cruise, you’ll get to a Place where, whichever direction you look, the only thing you’ll see is water; it doesn’t matter how big the ship you are in, it will become like a toy.

When there is a Storm at sea, that is a real Problem!

But when you read Mark 4:35-41, the Bible tells us the Story of what happened when Jesus was asleep in a boat and there was a Storm.

When it looked as if the boat was going to sink the Disciples woke Him you, and He spoke just one word and everything became calm.

There are some of us, we are not at Sea Physically speaking, but in the real sense of the word, we are in a Storm. Because we have Problems that we can’t even tell anybody about. You have Problems you can’t even share with your Prayer Partners.

I have Good News for you: Because you are going to shout that Name (Jesus) today, those Problems would be over – Jesus!

I was on a Cruise once – The first time I was ever on a Cruise.

If you want to go on a Holiday; may God provide you with the Money – Amen.

The best holiday is on a Cruise! – Those People Practically beg you to eat.

In a boat, there could be as many as twenty four (24) Restaurants. And each one would say, “come and taste our food.” They even have buffet at Midnight, so that after you have done everything, before you go to bed, come and eat again.

And so I was enjoying myself – Nobody was disturbing me, Nobody knew where I was; no Prayer Requests (laughter).

And then the Storm came! The boat, the size of a very huge Hotel, became like a toy.

The wave would take us about 2-Storey high, and drop us. Things were flying about: knives, plates, everything!

It got so bad that the Captain called all of us together, he said: Don’t worry Brethren, there are twelve (12) Categories of Storm. The least is Category one (1), the worse is Category twelve (12) – Don’t worry, we are only in Category Ten (10). What!

So he said, just go back to your room and stay there.

When I got back to my room I said, what am I doing here? (Laughter). The biggest river in my Village, a Man can jump over it. Lord, what am I doing here?

And suddenly God spoke to me – He is speaking to Somebody today – Amen.

Don’t think this Testimony is for fun – There is Someone who needs that Particular Story right now.

Suddenly, God spoke to me and said, when there was a Storm when I was here on Earth, “What did the Bible say I was doing?” The Bible said You were sleeping. He said, sleep! I jumped on my bed, within a few Minutes I was fast asleep.

By the time I woke up, we were already at dock. I didn’t even know when the Storm ended.

God is telling Somebody, sleep! Because there is a Name that’s above every other name – Jesus.

Maybe I will take just one more example. And that is:

4. EMERGENCY IN THE CLASSROOM

What happens if there is an emergency in the Classroom; in the Examination Hall?

Now, if there is an emergency there, that will be a “Real Storm”.

What happens when you have Studied very hard, and you believe you know everything. And then you see the Question Paper and there is nothing you can recognize?

If there is ever a crisis for a Student, that is a real one!

But you see, in 1 Corinthians 1:24, the Bible says, Jesus Christ is the Wisdom of God.

So, when you find your brain failing you at a critical moment; there is still Somebody who can come to your aid – Jesus.

In 1 Corinthians 1:24, the Bible says, But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the Power of God, and the Wisdom of God.

In Daniel 2:20-22, the Bible says He gives Wisdom to the Wise.

Some of you Probably have heard me share this Testimony before:

Several years ago, I entered the Examination Hall to write exams in a Subject I know very well. Other students come to me for explanation when they get a bit stucked.

I got into the Examination Hall – Eight (8) Questions, answer five (5). That’s how it was then, I don’t know the situation now. Is that still the same thing? No! It’s no longer like that. Well, I left that behind forty three (43) years ago.

I read Question No. 1: I couldn’t understand. No 2: what is this? No. 4, 5, 6, 7, 8.

By now I was sweating. I was about to get up and leave – After all, you can come back and have a resit. But a Hand Pressed me down!

Remember what I said; Jesus means, “God is with me.”

So I sat down – Fifteen (15) Minutes past; my Colleagues were already writing furiously. I couldn’t even see one Question to attempt.

But after fifteen (15) Minutes, I read the Questions again;

Question No. 1: This is so, so Equation.

Question No. 2: this is so, so Theory, and so on.

In the time left, I answered all the eight (8) Questions. And just as a rascal, I wrote at the top of the Answer Sheet, “Mark any Five (5).”

That aspect of Mathematics where I blanked out is where I finally got my PhD in, because there is a Name – Jesus!

Let me close by telling you one thing: The Bible says, “Seek the Lord while He may be found; call on Him while He is near.”

If He is not in your boat, by the time a Storm comes, who would you call?

If He is not already with you;

If He knocked on the door of your heart again and again and you have refused to open the door to Him;

Now you have a crisis, and you want to call on Him?

Because, whether we like it or not, sooner or later, we are bound to face one little crisis or the other in our lives.

The Word of God made it clear, He says: When thou Passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee (DMC NOTES: Isaiah 43:2).

… Because I will be with you.

He didn’t say, if you pass. He said, “when” – It is a matter of time.

If you don’t have Jesus in your Life and crisis comes in the middle of the Night; and suddenly a demon walks through the door, who are you going to call?

You can only call Him if He is near.

A friend of mine, he was a very Successful Man – He was an In-law and very, very wealthy.

One day we went to visit him and I was Preaching to him: “Sir, give your Life to Jesus Christ because you can’t tell when you are going to need Him.”

When I finished talking he said, In-law. I said, Sir. He said, follow me! So I followed him.

He took me through his Mansion – One Section had a huge freezer: Some Goats, roasted whole; some Rams, roasted whole; another one Turkey, roasted whole. And so on and so forth.

After we’ve gone round and he brought me back to the Sitting Room. He said In-law. I said Sir! He said, you say you have Jesus. I said, Yes Sir. He said, do you have all these things? I said, No Sir. He said, “Go and Preach to the Poor. I don’t need Jesus.” So I said, Yes Sir. You don’t argue with your in-law where I come from.

Some Months later – I was living in Lagos and just arrived from the University, and I saw somebody like him. Because the last time I saw him, his cheeks were rousy, he was robust. But now he had almost become a Skeleton.

In-law! He said, “it’s me.” What happened? He said, the Treasurer of the Company he worked for connived with the Typist and one other fellow. They got him to sign an approval for (I think) Ten Million Pounds – In those days we used Pounds.

After he had signed, they added more zeros because they’ve Planned the whole thing.

The one who was going to do the typing did whatever needed to be done and they took away the money from the Company.

When it was discovered, the Company said “Oga, this is your Signature.” He said, that is true but this is not what I signed for.”

They said well, find those People – And those People of course, as soon as they got the Money, they fled. And he was now on his way to jail.

I said, why are you here telling me this?

He said, I want you to Pray for me. I said, in whose name? He said, in the Name of Jesus of course! “But you said you don’t need Him.” He said, that was then, this is now.

I convinced him to Surrender his Life to Jesus – I didn’t even have to Preach for long before he Surrendered.

And we Prayed! Miraculously those who stole the Money disagreed, and they were arrested.

You don’t know when you are going to need Jesus.

You don’t know when the only way out for you would be that Name.

If He is not already in your boat when the Storm comes, you will have a Problem.

The Elders have a saying: “The cow that has no tail, it’s God who would help that cow to chase away flies”.

What if that cow has no tail, and yet has no God?

There are many of us, we are like cows without tails – When the crisis comes, the only Person who can solve our Problems is the One whose Name you have been calling – Jesus.

ALTAR CALL

If you want to Surrender your Life to that Jesus; if you want to open the door of your heart to Him, so that He can now become your Lord and Saviour;

I will count from one (1) to ten (10) – Before I say ten (10), come and Surrender to Jesus Christ Genuinely today. Then we can Pray for your Salvation.

I’m counting now…

The Choice is yours – I’ve done my part of the job. If you like you come, if you like, you refuse. A day would come when you would say: I need Him now and it might be too late then.

You must come with the determination: I am going to receive Jesus Christ into my Life. I want Him now to take over my Life Completely. And I will serve Him, I will do His Will.

Thank you those of you who are clapping. Your hands will never whither.

Okay! Talk to the Lord and say: LORD; have Mercy on me, save my Soul, come into my Life – Come and be my Lord, come and be my Saviour.

I want You in my Life, so that whenever I need You I can call on You: and You, the Prince of Peace, You will give me Peace.

I want You to come into my Life so that there will be no more impossibilities in my Life.

Be my Lord, be my Saviour and I Promise You, I will serve You.

And the rest of us Please, let’s Stretch our hands towards these our Brothers and Sisters and intercede for them.

Pray that God Himself would save their Souls.

Pray that God would give them the kind of Genuine Salvation that He gave you.

Intercede for them Brethren.

In Jesus’ Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen.

PRAYER FOR SALVATION

My Father and my God, I want to Thank You very much for Your Word.

I want to give You all Glory and Honour, for these Your People who have Surrendered their lives Genuinely to Jesus Christ.

Father Please, have Mercy on them, save their Souls and let Your Blood wash away their sins.

Please, write their names in the Book of Life and receive them into the Family of God.

And from now on, anytime they call on You, father Please, answer them by Fire.

And don’t let them ever backslide.

In Jesus’ Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen.

Praise the Lord – Hallelujah.

I rejoice with those of you who have just Genuinely Surrendered your Life to Jesus Christ.

I want to Promise you that by the Grace of God, I’ll be Praying for you.

So I’m going to need your names, your Address and your Prayer Requests.

Well, in every Man’s Life, there is always a day never to be forgotten.

I believe for Someone here tonight, including those reading now on the label of DMC: This is your day!

And if this is your day, stand on your feet (if you can) and shout Hallelujah – Hallelujah.

I am going to Pray for you first; then you are going to Pray for yourself.

And I believe God, that even before tomorrow Morning, you would have Testimonies – Amen.

CLOSING PRAYER

My Father and my God, I want to Bless Your Holy Name.

I Thank You very, very much for Your Word tonight.

I Thank You for that Great Name that’s above every other name.

I Thank You Lord God Almighty, that You said in Your Word: If we ask anything in Your Name, it shall be given to us by our Father in Heaven.

I’m asking in the Name of Jesus Tonight, answer the Prayers of Your Children.

Whatever they ask for, no matter how difficult, let that thing become a Testimony.

Any Storm that may be in the Life of any one of us, Lord God Almighty, let the Storm be Stilled.

Whatever has been causing Your Children anxiety, Please, because they came tonight including all those reading on the Label of DMC: Let that situation be resolved!

And I’m Praying Lord God Almighty, that from now on, anytime they call the Name of Jesus, let a Major Miracle happen.

And they are going to begin now by asking You for big things. Whatever they ask Lord:

Whether it be Healing or Deliverance, or Breakthrough, or Promotion. Whatever they ask for;

Before the Sun rises tomorrow, Daddy let it become a Testimony.

And I Pray that we will all serve You till the end.
