BIBLE TEXT: EXODUS 15: 22-27

I want to Welcome you all to the Maiden Edition of RCCG Region 2 Workers and Ministers’ Meeting.

Let’s open our Bible to the Book of Exodus 15: 22-27:

  1. So Moses brought Israel from the Red sea, and they went out into the wilderness of Shur; and they went three days in the wilderness, and found no water.
  2. And when they came to Marah, they could not drink of the waters of Marah, for they were bitter: therefore the name of it was called Marah.
  3. And the People murmured against Moses, saying, What shall we drink?
  4. And he cried unto the LORD; and the LORD shewed him a tree, which when he had cast into the waters, the waters were made sweet: there he made for them a statute and an ordinance, and there he proved them,
  5. And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his Commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee.
  6. And they came to Elim, where were twelve wells of water, and threescore and ten Palm trees: and they encamped there by the waters.

The Journey from Egypt to Elim was not a very interesting Journey but the Children of Israel were never discouraged.

They travelled very far into the Wilderness with no water for them to drink for many days but they kept going on and Pressing onwards

While forging on, they later got to a Place where they get water – They were excited but they soon they discovered that the water was a useless water (Bitter water).

But they kept moving on until they got to Elim.

They just left the Red Sea – A Place that is Restrictional and Confrontational but they kept on moving on.

God told Moses in the Wilderness that they should just keep moving on.

Now, when they got to Marah, they saw Plemty of water but the water was Poisonous and not drinkable but they kept moving on.

Finally, they arrived at Elim – This is where we are going to focus on!

They got to Elim and they Settled down there – You won’t blame them anyway.

At Elim:

☆ There were twelve Wells of water – Purified and Anointed water for Thirsty People.

☆ Not only that, they had seventy Palm Trees – Prepared Place of Rest.

Elim appeared to be a Final Resting Place to them.

My Prayer for you today is that you will never to turn a Transitional Place to a Resting Place – Amen!

At Elim, the Children of Israel Camped there by the water – Drinking water from the well and Refreshed.

Elim to the Children of Israel meant three (3) Things:

  1. In Elim, God Provided for them to reinforce and build Capacity.
  2. In Elim, all the arrangements they needed already in Place there for them to repair what has been damaged.
  3. The Children of Israel were brought to Elim by God to Prepare them for yet some serious works ahead of them.

Elim is not meant to be their Final Bus Stop.

When you are in Elim, you are only meant to enjoy it while it last!

HOW DO THE CHILDREN OF ISRAEL NOW CONTINUE WITH THEIR JOURNEY?

Exodus 16:1: And they took their Journey from Elim, and all the Congregation of the Children of Israel came unto the Wilderness of Sin, which is between Elim and Sinai, on the fifteenth day of the Second Month after their departing out of the Land of Egypt.

The Bible says that the Children of Israel took their Journey from Elim to the Wilderness of Sin – Which is between Elim and Sinai.

In-between Elim and Canaanland, you will arrive at the Wilderness of Sin – The Headquarters of Passive Spirit.

But you have to keep moving on.

You wondered why Elim not the Promise Land but just a Transitional Point?

Ecclesiastes 7:10 says: Say not thou, What is the cause that the former days were better than these? for thou dost not enquire wisely concerning this.

Some of us, we are still craving for the Good Old Days.

If your Yesterday is better than your Today, then it simply means that you are Static because you are Part and Parcel of what made today to be what it is today.

All that Gid is expecting from us even today is to cooperate with the Church to move it on from where it is now (Elim) and move it forward.

Get up from your Elim and take the Church to a better Place.

Let Heaven’s attention be on you and let People see you representing God well.

If all of us do it right, then it will go on the way it should be.

People of God, be careful of Comfort Zones!

Matthew 24:12-13 says:

  1. And because iniquity shall abound, the Love of many shall wax cold.
  2. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

When you see Lawlessness, keep moving.

Why? Because evil Communications corrupts Good manners and it can make your Love for God grows Cold.

Can I tell you something – There is no Perfect Church anywhere. We will just keep working on it until we attain Perfection!

Keep moving on – Your Destination is to get to Canaanland.

Luke 9:62 says: And Jesus said unto him, No Man, having put his hand to the Plough, and looking back, is fit for the Kingdom of God.

Be encouraged – Keep Moving and don’t loose your Rewards.

I will resign as a Pastor? – Keep Moving and don’t loose your Crown.

I will leave RCCG? – Keep Moving as God wants to use it to Acknowledge your Rewards.

Revelation 22:12 says: And, behold, I come quickly; and my Reward is with me, to give every Man according as his work shall be.

What God says is that He is going to Reward you according to the works of your hands!

Romans 12:11 says: Not Slothful in Business; fervent in Spirit; serving the Lord.

Bow your Head now as you Pray to the Lord.

You will say: Father, wake me up and revive me.

I have dwell too long in Elim, Father help me to Keep Moving on – The Children of Israel did not stop until they get to the Promise Land (Canaanland).

CLOSING PRAYER

Father we want to Thank You this Day for the opportunity to share your Words to Your Children.

Our Heart cry Prayer today to You Lord, is not to turn a Transitional Point to a Destinational Point.

Today, we receive the Grace to arrive and occupy our Rightful Place.

From today, we will consider our Past Achievements as Nothing but just Keep Moving on.

Thank You Father!

In Jesus Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen!!!
