BIBLE TEXT: ACTS 5:1-11, 14

OPENING PRAYER

The Ancient of Days, we bow before You.

The Only One who is called the I AM THAT I AM; the One who has not Changed; the One who speaks and it is done; the Controller of tomorrow – Glory be to Your Holy Name!

Thank You for everything You have done during this Conference – Even if we go home right now, it is remarkably well.

Thank You Father. Accept our Worship, in Jesus’ Name.

Please Lord, give every one of us Your Best today.

Thank You Almighty God.

In Jesus’ Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen.

Well, let Someone shout Hallelujah – Hallelujah!

I want you to shake hands with one (1) or two (2) People and Prophesy to them and say: Neighbour, God will give you the Best today.

And then you may Please be seated.

I have told you the Story of one of my sons – Who was offered a thousand dollars a Month to leave the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) and go and be Ministering in what the Nigerians would called, “The Millionaires Church’ – He is Pastor Kunle Ajayi (DMC NOTES: The Intercontinental Music Director of RCCG).

That was a a long time ago – And a thousand dollars to a “Small Boy” then; that was a lot of money.

And he told the Man who made him the offer, “Thank you for the offer; but I can’t leave my Dad.”

When I heard what happened, I made him a Promise – I said, Son, because you have done this; as I grow, you will grow.

Today, in some areas, he has grown more than I.

There is no Embassy in Nigeria that my son (Pastor Kunle Ajayi) would knock at their door and they won’t open the door to him – None at all.

As I grow, those of you who have been making your own Little Contributions to make Life easier for us, you too will grow – Amen.

Not long after that, a Photographer saw that Pastor Kunle Ajayi was going everywhere I go, he too said: I want to be going wherever you go. I said, they have Photographers where I am going. He said, “but they have Musicians where you are going.” I said, that’s different!

I Pray for all of you who are here today, inclusive those reading now on the Label of DMC: As I grow, you too will grow – Amen.

Once in a while, comes a day like this – It starts like every other day; but doesn’t end like every other day.

For Somebody, this is the Day – Amen.

Who is that Somebody? The DMC Family Members.

Alright, if you are the Somebody, let your hallelujah be louder than the others – Hallelujah!

Acts 5:14 says, And Believers were the more added to the Lord, Multitudes both of Men and Women.

• We have talked about the River.
• We’ve spoken about the Sea.

Now, we want to talk about “THE OCEAN”.

And like the Poem we mentioned yesterday:

“Little Drops of Water, Little grains of Sand, make the Mighty Ocean and great wide Land.”

The Church is made up of little drops of water – It is made up of Individuals.

Whenever God is talking to a congregation, He talks to those within the congregation.

Revelation 3:20 says, Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any Man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

He was talking to a Mighty Congregation, but He still addressed Himself to an Individual.

Don’t forget where we started from when we asked a Question: “Why are you here?”

Don’t forget we have examples of Cars – And we said Rolls Royce is in a Class of its own.

We also mentioned the fact that Peter said to the Lame Man, “Look on us, we are both coming from the Upper Room.”

But he ended up by saying, Silver and gold have “I” none; but what “I” have, give “I” to you.

At the end of this Conference – That is already Remarkable by any means; what you take away is Personal to you.

In Nigeria, when we have the Ministers’ Conference before the Annual Convention, we always have a Test at the end of the day – To find out how much People have learnt.

We all hear same Sermons, but at the end of the day, when we begin to ask Questions, you would be amazed that some People didn’t even hear what the Pastor was saying.

And God deals with us as Individuals.

Even if Set of Twins were to be born, they still come out one at a time.

At the end of this Meeting, what you go home with is Personal to you.

• So, we have drops of water that flow to the River.
• When it reached a certain Stage, we call them the Sea.
• And when they become Uncountable, we call them Ocean: Multitude.

When we were much smaller, at the end of the Annual Convention in Nigeria; I would always tell you how many People came for the Convention.

Oh! There were days when we were extremely glad that more than six hundred (600) People came for the Annual Convention.

The Last Annual Convention before I became General Overseer, about six hundred and eighty three (683) or so People came – And that was a crowd!

So it began to grow; and we could say, the Total number of People who came to the Annual Convention this Year is Fifty Thousand (50,000) People.

Oh God! So many People.

And then it got to a Stage, when People ask me, “How many People came to the Annual Convention?” I’ll tell them, don’t let us waste time: I can’t tell you the true number.

Because, at anytime, how many People would the Ushers count?

If they are counting People in the Auditorium, what about the People in the toilet? And we have a little more than a thousand toilets.

How about those arriving, or those who are just leaving their Dormitories?

How many children are we going to count?

So, when the crowd becomes difficult to count, we say it is an Ocean.

A CASE STUDY ON ACTS 5:1-11

For you to understand what must happen to get to the Level of the Ocean, we need to Study Acts 5:1-11

• To get to the Level of the River we Studied Acts 2:1-4.
• To get to the Level of the Sea we Studied Acts 3:1-11.

To get to the Level of the Ocean, we need to look at Acts 5:1-11.

You know the Story of Ananias and Sapphira:

• They were both Born Again.
• They were Baptized.
• They even sold their Land and brought part of the money to the Church.
• They were way beyond Tithers. This time they sold their Land and brought something Generously.

For those of you who have been told that because you are Born Again you can do whatever you like and still make Heaven.

What they are trying to tell you is that there are two (2) Heavens:

I. There is one Heaven God lives, and sin will not be tolerated.

It doesn’t matter what Theologians may say, no Unclean fellow will go in there.

II. And there is another Heaven where Ananias and Sapphira will be.

*All those People teaching you that “once you are Born Again you are forever Born Again” – I am not quite sure.

But there are some People who believe that once you are Born Again you can do absolutely anything – And they call is New Revelation.

I told them not too long ago at a Meeting of Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN): What they are teaching is not New at all, we’ve heard it before. At least way back in 1980 in Ilorin (Kwara State Nigeria), somebody was even teaching People how to Pray, based on Scriptures.

The fellow said that if you want to commit Adultery, you’ll go to Jesus Christ and say, “Thank You Lord. I just want You to know in advance that I am going in to Sister so and so. When I finish, I’ll come and apologize. Thank You for Your Finished work on the Cross. I love You Lord. You know that when I am doing whatever I want to do, Your Father in Heaven doesn’t see me. When He looks down He would only see Your Blood. So when I finish I will apologize.”

Is that Christlike? Is that of God?

Tell those who are teaching such Doctrines that Your Father didn’t say so.

That is why, when People cry to “The God of Adeboye”, they know the God they are calling – The Holy One of Israel, the One who does not tolerate nonsense. That is my God.

If you want to call on Him, you can be sure He will answer you.

Take note of this: Whether you like it or not, God will build His Church, and the gates of Hell shall not Prevail against it.

Our Congregation is going to be in Millions – Amen.

He Promised my father-in-the-Lord, the Founder of the Redeemed Christian Church of God; Pa Josiah Akindayomi that He would start a Church with him that would go round the whole world.

There was no way that could be reasonable through a Man who couldn’t even write English. He couldn’t write his name hundred Percent correct but today, it is already working!

One of our Pastors came from one Nation that I have never heard the name before, to the last Special Holy Ghost Service in Nigeria – And I had to Pretend that I know where that Place is.

I said, in case I want to visit you, which is the best way to travel? And then he began to explain. I have never been there before; I was just learning about the Place.

The One who is doing the work is the Covenant Keeping God.

I know there is going to be a massive Revival in Europe; and there is nothing you can do to stop it – The Question is: Will you be Part of it?

That we are going to become like the Ocean – That is Settled (Amen).

… But will you be around when this is happening?

There is this friend of mine who influenced me a lot when I was a Younger Christian; and we became very close.

So when I became General Overseer, I tried to Persuade him, “Come along with us, you are such a wonderful Child of God.” He said No, I have my own Ministry.

One day he came to visit us after being abroad for years – He sat on the Altar, and when he saw the Multitudes, he wept throughout the Service.

Sir, why are you weeping? I mean, there was Joy everywhere. He said, “I should have been Part of this.”

HOW CAN YOU BE PART OF THE OCEAN?

To be Part of the Ocean, like I said: you must Study Acts 5:1-11.

1. NO COMPROMISE:

In John 14:30, Jesus Christ said, Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the Prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.

Proverbs 11:2 says, Though hand join in hand, the wicked shall not be unpunished: but the Seed of the Righteous shall be delivered.

We can be many! And when we are many, there are bound to be mixed Multitudes – It’s easy to hide in the crowd.

There was a time I knew every Pastor in United Kingdom.

There was a time when, if I come to UK, we’ll have Bible Study early in the Morning in my little Hotel room because we were ‘many’ then.

Now, I can meet you in the Mall and may not recognize you unless you introduce yourself.

Thank God for Mummy G.O; she can remember everybody (laughter). That is why God gave me a Help meet.

No matter how many we are, you can be only hide from man; but you can’t hide from God.

2. NO LUKEWARMNESS:

There must be no Lukewarmness if you want to be Part of the Ocean.

In Revelation 3:15-16 He says, I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.

When God throws somebody out of His mouth, there’ll be no way to bring that fellow back.

There are Categories of Backsliding;

• When you Backslide on your own you can come back home.
• When God is the One who threw you out, there’s no way you can return.

You need to understand that Pruning inspires Greater Growth.

Whenever a Church is growing, from time to time you would hear that Pastor so and so has died; or Regional Pastor So and So has gone to start his own Ministry – Don’t let it surprise you.

That is why God makes sure that every tree that is bringing forth fruit is purged, so that it may bring forth much fruit – John 15:1-2.

Get ready for Pruning.

Hebrews 12:1 say, every weight that can hinder growth, you must lay it aside.

There are certain things you do which you know is not right – You know it.

You must get rid of it, otherwise it will get rid of you.

I mean, I went to visit one of our Churches, and they were about to serve me. One of the girls said, “I know what he drinks – He drinks Coke.”

That was the last day I drank Coke.

Because, if my drinking Coke has become known to everybody, the next time Satan wants to bring Poison in the Dream, he will use Coke.

So there are certain things that are not even sin per se; but learn to be pruned.

3. BEWARE OF HYPOCRISY:

You must beware of Hypocrisy.

In Psalm 101:7, the Almighty God says, He that worketh deceit shall not dwell within my house: he that telleth lies shall not tarry in my sight.

The Hypocrite won’t stand before God!

Job 20:5 says, That the triumphing of the wicked is short, and the Joy of the Hypocrite but for a moment?

In Job 15:34 God said, For the Congregation of Hypocrites shall be desolate, and fire shall consume the Tabernacles of bribery.

Stop Pretending to be what you are not – Appearing to be fervent when the Pastor is around.

You know what I am talking about – It doesn’t pay!

If I don’t like what you are doing, I will tell you. You may hate me for it, but at the end of the day you will Thank God for my Life.

Anyway, I come from a Section of Yorubaland where we are known for being absolutely frank.

The average Ijesha Man will not hide the truth.

At the end of the day he would say, “If you like get angry; after all you are not the one feeding me” – That’s their Character.

And why should I be Pretending with my children? I can’t Pretend with you.

That’s why when I see anything that I believe needs to be corrected, I will tell you.

But I know a few who are so deep in Hypocrisy, and I have decided to leave them to themselves.

“How can you do that Daddy?”

God did that to Ephraim – He loved Ephraim, He gave him a blessing that should be given to his Elder brother. But Ephraim began to go his own way.

God Pleaded with him – I love you, that is why I blessed you ten times more than your brother. “The blessing You gave me is what is causing me trouble.”

Finally, God said in Hosea 4:17, Ephraim is joined to idols: let him alone – It’s in the Bible!

But then He said in Hosea 5:9, Ephraim shall be Desolate in the day of rebuke: among the Tribes of Israel have I made known that which shall surely be.

Put an end to Hypocrisy!

And Please, get it out of your Mind that you can come to my Office and lie to me – I may not say anything.

I have told you before; when you are deceiving a Wise Man and he allows you, it is because your deception is working according to his Plan – Oh yes!

You are deceiving me and I say, “Is that do?” It’s because unknown to you, you are working according to my Plan. When the day comes, you will know who is the loser.

You see, God is Love, but He is not Father Christmas.

1 John 4:8 says, He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is Love.

But Hebrews 13:29 says God is also a Consuming Fire.

And Hebrews 10:31 says, It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the Living God.

Years ago, there was a Man who came from another Country to Nigeria. And for one reason or the other he joined the Redeemed Christian Church of God.

Oh! That Man can talk. He was even trying to sell what he called “World Visa – Just one Passport and you are a World Citizen.”

That means you don’t need Visa to go anywhere (laughter).

The Young Man was something else.

Then one day; I had been Fasting, I think I was on my forty (40)! Days and forty (40) Nights Fast. And he came in Probably while I was on the thirty-first (31st) Day or so.

And all of a sudden the Holy Spirit spoke and said, “he is Pretending – He is a Spy.”

And so I asked the Lord, do I confront him? He said, go ahead.

So when he finished talking I said: Aren’t you afraid? You come to the Presence of a Man of God to lie.

And all these years you’ve been going in and out of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, because you thought that would be a Good Cover. For how long would you do those?

He suddenly began to sweat.

I said, haven’t you read Acts 5:1-11? And he knows the Bible very well.

In that Passage, a Couple lied to Peter – They never knew they were lying to the Holy Spirit.

He began to sweat. And I said, don’t worry, you won’t die in my Office.

The following week the Military discovered this Ring of Spies; and they did whatever they normally would do.

You don’t want to hear the rest of the Story!

Stop Pretending Please – It is a dangerous thing to fall into the hands of the Living God.

If God loves you, He would chasten you.

Hebrews 12:6 says, For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.

I have thought that Passage would say, whosoever the father loves he ‘kisses.’

Even my Enemies know God loves me.

What they don’t know is that this God who loves me so much doesn’t tolerate nonsense from me – He doesn’t.

I have learnt my Lessons directly from Him.

People ask, “How can you be so Humble?”

It’s because he told me, the day I forget who is calling the shots, He would wipe me out.

You think I want to die?

4. POWER IS A TWO-EDGED SWORD:

You need to know that Power is a two-eged sword – And this is Particularly important.

When you give a sword to a Man, you need to let him know, “The sword can kill you.”

If you don’t believe me, ask Samson.

He went to the house of a harlot, the Power was still there.

You see, when God gives you a Gift, He leaves you with the Gift – The Gifts and Calling of God is without Repentance.

How can a Man get out of the house of a harlot and uproot the gate of a City? Gift!

The Gift may not leave, but the Giver may leave.

And when He left, Samson discovered, “I am somebody because God is with me.”

But you remember his hairs grew again, and the Power returned?

Only that when the Power returned, it is to finish the job that the Enemies had not concluded – That is, to take Samson away.

So listen to what Peter has to say: But as he which hath called you is Holy, so be ye Holy in all manner of Conversation; Because it is written, Be ye Holy; for I am Holy (DMC NOTES: 1 Peter 1:15-16).

“Daddy, you have been talking about Holiness all these years: when will you talk about something else?”

There is nothing else to talk about – Holiness is the Master Key.

Cut me into Pieces, each Piece would tell you, “Be Holy.”

In Genesis 17:1, the Bible says, And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the LORD appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before me, and be thou Perfect.

Once Light comes on, you have nowhere to hide.

CATEGORIES OF OCEAN

There are different categories of Ocean – We would talk about three (3) of them today.

1. India Ocean
2. Atlantic Ocean, and
3. Pacific Ocean.

And these three (3) Oceans are different in sizes.

I. India Ocean – Very Mighty.

But compared to;

II. Atlantic Ocean, India Ocean becomes a baby.

III.And then the Big Daddy of them all: Pacific Ocean.

1. You can leave here today and become a Representative of India Ocean.

In Acts 8:5-8, our Brother Philip covered a City.

2. You can go out of here today and become a Representative of Atlantic Ocean.

In the same Acts 8:2-40, Philip moved from being a Successful Evangelist to a whole City, he was transferred to the wilderness to meet somebody: through whom his influence reached Africa.

So, from being a ‘Local Champion ‘ in Samaria, Philip became an International Champion; getting somebody baptized – who brought Christianity to Africa.

3. And then if you want, you can represent the Pacific Ocean.

One thing about the Pacific Ocean is that it is Practically Bottomless.

You can become somebody like Apostle Paul – He just kept going; influencing Romans, Galatians, Philippians,Colosea, Thessalonians, etc.

He Jest kept on going.

Let me round up, because I believe Daddy says I’ve talked enough. Not that I’ve finished everything.

THE NEED FOR A LANDMARK SEED.

I believe God wants me to talk about, “The Need for a Landmark Seed” – I am not talking about taking an Offering and I am always very reluctant to talk about anything Material.

But I’ll be failing you as a Dad, if I don’t tell you this one – Everyone who got a Landmark Miracle had done something before.

1. Consider Abraham:

The day all the Prophecies in his Life became a Decree, he fed the Almighty God (Genesis 18).

For the first time in the History of Mankind, God ate the food Prepared by Man.

2. You can take Solomon:

He gave a kind of Offering Nobody had ever given before.

God Paid him a visit and gave him a Blank Cheque.

And this Boy (Solomon) was so dumbed – When God asked what he wanted, he asked for Wisdom.

I asked God: How can Somebody so dumb give a thousand burnt offering?

God told me, it’s a Set Up – I have told you this Story before.

In 2 Samuel 12, the Bible says when Solomon was born, God love him.

And because God loved him, He wanted to make him Unique – So He inspired him to give the kind of Offering Nobody had ever given before.

So God can then come round and say Alright; I would make you who Nobody has ever been before, or ever after.

3. Take Mary the Sister of Lazarus:

Probably the Greatest illustration you can find is in John Chapter 11 – Just read the whole Chapter; but Pay attention to Verse 2.

John 11:2 says: (It was that Mary which anointed the Lord with Ointment, and wiped his feet with her hair, whose brother Lazarus was Sick).

Why do you think God put that there?

The Story would be Complete with Verse 2 – But He put it there, for Somebody like me to discover that Jesus was in a Place a woman washed his feet with tears, and wiped it with her hairs.

And when some People began to grumble, Jesus said, leave her alone – What she has done is to Prepare me for my Burial.

And we thought that was the end of the Story.

But tell me, in the New Testament, who got the Biggest Miracle of all? It is that Lady whose brother was sick, whose brother died, was buried for four (4) days. Then Jesus brought him back to Life.

That’s the biggest Single Miracle anybody ever got.

It is his Sister who said to the Lord Jesus Christ; I know You love my brother. I know You love us in this family; it’s not Your fault that You came late – it’s too late now. Let’s go home and have tea.

And Jesus Christ said, I will show you something – Your Brother shall live again.

Mary said, I know he would live on the Resurrection Morning.

Jesus said, I am the Resurrection and the Life:

I delayed coming so that I can give you a Miracle Nobody can compare.

I want you to go to God in Prayer.

Say Father; Bless me such that I would give a Landmark Seed.

When we talk about that kind of Seed – It goes deep into the Ground; and it Produces fruit at the most critical moment.

You know, there are Miracles that come your way when there is no way to maneuver – When you can’t turn right, you can’t turn left; you can’t go back, and you can’t go forward.

You know what happened when the Children of Israel got to the Red Sea?

It’s a Question of: you either get a Miracle now, or you drown.

That’s the kind of Seed that would be there, and suddenly, it would bring Harvest.

There are some Testimonies you find difficult to share, because some People won’t believe you.

We’ve heard all manner of Testimonies in Nigeria – There are some Testimonies, when we share them, People find it difficult to believe.

You Probably remember the Testimony of one Man: His elder sister died, he couldn’t get Permission from the place of work to go.

But he Phoned the People at home – “Don’t bury my Sister till I arrive.” So they embalmed her.

By the time he got home, it was eleven (11) days since the Sister died.

He took the Anointed Handkerchief we Prayed for; went into the room where they kept the Sister, carrying her child.

He laid the Anointed Handkerchief on her and said: Sister, get up – Your baby is crying.

Of course nothing happened.

So, very sad, he said: Well, I acted in Faith. I believed Daddy G.O when he said, with God Nothing shall be impossible.

He turned to go out of the room. By the time he got to the door he heard a sound, and he looked back; the Sister was sitting up – Hallelujah!

It’s difficult to believe – But that’s just one of several others.

A Sister went to the University College Hospital (UCH) Ibadan; she had Cancer of the breast and they cut off the breast.

Her friend took an Handkerchief that had been Anointed; laid it on the breast and Prayed: God of Adeboye, You have to show up now.

Two weeks later, a brand new breast was there – Halleluyah!

I can go on and on and on!

There are some Testimonies that are difficult to share, because People would say, “who are you deceiving?”

Liars won’t go to Heaven.

A Remarkable Seed is a Seed you sow and say God: When I need a Miracle the most, let this Seed speak for me.

He hasn’t failed before – He is not going to fail now.

Talk to the Almighty God now.

God Bless You – Amen.
