TAKE NO ONE FOR GRANTED- NUGGETS FROM PASTOR (MRS) NIKE ADEYEMI’S TEACHING

It is time we begin to look inwards and appreciate one another.

If someone is given to you to take care of, if someone is given to you as your own – Whether a spouse or a child, a friend; don’t take them for granted but take care of that Person.

Yes, you are called to take care of the world but take care of that Person.

Yes, you are all over the Place, take care of that Person.

I have learnt to do that especially when I’m called to do one thing or the other.

And many times that is why People have to look outside their relationship just to fulfil that Place.

… And of course ultimately, they don’t have a Significant Order.

Even when you are in a relationship and the Person falls short; if someone doesn’t know the love language, the temperament and you are just going there like that, will you now say that is the end of your life?

Till their eye open better just continue to source your Strength from God.

Let Him hear you, listen and let Him tell you “Well Done” even if nobody tells you.

And most importantly tell yourself.

And if your language is “Words of Affirmation”, you need to look at yourself in a mirror and talk to yourself – Tell yourself: This girl is fine, this boy is handsome before you go out.

Whoever says it or not; your life won’t be depleted if some People don’t say it.

Saying and hearing it matters to you? – So, say it to yourself.

If your language is Gift and you are going somewhere and you realised they won’t even buy you Gift, buy Gift for yourself. Mail it to yourself.

We are in Nigeria and the Mail System is Good.

There are just two (2) People involved in delivery – Put your address, let them pick it up then you receive it in your office.

Whao!!! What a package? Who sent it?

And you now say don’t worry an admirer sent it.

Open your Gift and enjoy it.

So, “Words of Affirmation” is important.

There is a couple that came for Counseling not with me but with a Pastor and Counsellor.

The wife’s complaints was that her husband doesn’t love her.

Why? – He doesn’t say: “I love you”.

… In five (5) Years that we have been married; he doesn’t day I love you since the day we married.

Can you imagine?

Mr man, why?

He said: Pastor, the day we got married I said it – I said I do and I have not changed my mind.

The husband now said: Woman have I changed my mind? Did I wake you up one day and said I do not love you anymore?

The wife said: No!

So, what I said then still Stands!

The woman just shake her head and be like this man doesn’t get it.

And that is how some of you are in your Marriage!

And some of you, you are happily married but deep down you are not happy!

You are a man and you say this woman doesn’t get me.

You are missing the Point each time. You are not hitting the nail on the head.

You see when you get married to someone or when you are in a relationship or you have a child; you are meant to understand and study that Person.

That Person becomes your Project!

You are supposed to find out who makes her smile, who makes him smile. You have got to know who do something and they light up.

If you do more of that, that way we are not taking each other for granted – We are studying the Person because you want to know and adapt yourself better.

And that is how it can get better through the years.

And that is how your labour of love together will bring Progress.
