BIBLE TEXT: LUKE 1:31-32

I am talking about a Living Soul; let the Living shout Hallelujah – Hallelujah.

Someone who is happy and excited to be in the Second (2nd) Half of this Year 2019; rise on your feet and shout a Glorious Hallelujah – Hallelujah!

Let’s wave our hands to the God of the whole Universe and bless His Name. Let’s appreciate the Lord that sits upon the Throne – the King of Glory, our Father, Lover, the Gracious God. The Lord who sent us here to be Great. Let’s Bless His Name. Let’s Thank Him. Let the Lord hear your voice tonight that you are not taking Him for granted. He has been so Good, He has been so Great, so Powerful and so Faithful. He is the Never Failing God. Lord we Bless You, Lord we Appreciate You for all You are doing, for all You have done and for all You are capable of doing in our lives.

Thank You Father, Blessed be Your Name Lord. In Jesus Mighty Name we Pray – Amen.

The Topic ahead of us tonight is a very Powerful Topic. That Topic is to wake up something in you.

Several of us has been bothered by the experience of Life.

That particular Topic is saying: You must remembered that “You Are Born To Be Great”.

And that’s why you will call on the Lord tonight and say: Heavenly Father, that which You Propose me to be, let me be Great.

You have sent me here to be Great, let me be Great.

Call Upon the Almighty God, let the Lord hear your Voice tonight. This is what I desire. You sent me to the world to be Great my Father.

Lord we Bless you because You sent us here to be Great. That which You have Proposed in your heart concerning us; that which You designed us, let it manifest tonight. Let Greatness be written all over us.

Yes Lord I was born to be Great and must be Great.

Blessed be Your Name Daddy because whatever You Propose You will always do.

Thank You Lord. In Jesus Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen.

OPENING PRAYER

Father, we honour You tonight and we exalt Your Name. We appreciate You that you have seen us through the first six (6) Months of the Year and here we are in the seventh (7th) Month of the Year.

We Thank You that You have preserved us by Your Mighty Power. You kept us to see January, February, March, April, May, June and now July. What a Good God You are. Accept our Thanks and Praise in the Name of Jesus.

We thank You Lord of Heaven because You are Forever Faithful. We Thank You because You never fail. We Thank You because You sent us to the whole world to be Great.

Even though there may be contrary things all around us, You always Perform on Your Promises. And so we have every reason(s) to be confident that what You have said, that what You Decreed, that what you have Destined us to be we shall be in the Name of Jesus.

And so daddy everyone who is here tonight we Pray that that Seed of Greatness in us that is already germinating will grow and become a reality in the Name of Jesus.

At the end of everything; we shall return all the Glory back to You.

Thank You daddy. In Jesus Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen.

… And everybody will say a Glorious Amen – Amen!

I like You to shake hands with the people around you and tell them that: “You Are Born To Be Great”.

I want to use this opportunity to thank my father in the Lord for this privilege to bring the First (1st) Word this seventh (7th) Month of the Year 2019.

I want to use this opportunity to congratulate our mummy also that this Month is her Month. We want to rejoice with you ma. May your Greatness continue to be enlarged in the Name of Jesus Christ – Amen.

Born to be Great – This is an announcement to someone who is here tonight. An announcement that your neighbour must hear loud and clear.

Maybe they have forgotten, maybe they look at you and could not see the Greatness. So I want you to turn to them and say: My friend, I am born to be Great.

This is a reminder to an Individual listening to our voice or reading anywhere – Maybe you are Physically Present in this campground or listening to/reading this message on other Media. Maybe you need to be told again: “You are born to be Great”.

Apostle Paul in writing to Timothy said that if I put you into remembrance that you desires the Gifts of God which has been given to you which the Lord has Placed there when his lands were laid upon him.

There were Gifts Placed upon his life and the Spiritual Father is seeing the manifestations of those Gifts and so he has to remind him.

Before you came into the world, God has decided that you MUST be Great. So this is a reminder to you.

So I like you to tell yourself: I am Born to be Great.

Every time that you are saying this; you are making a Declaration not only to your today; you are Prophesying to your tomorrow. You are telling yourself that it doesn’t matter what is happening around me; I am born to be Great and I will be Great – Hallelujah!

I will like to look at our Bible Text tonight: Luke 1: 31-32.

1. And behold thou shalt conceive in thy womb and bring forth a son and shalt call His Name JESUS.
2. He shall be great and shall be called the Son of the Highest and the Lord God shall give unto Him the throne of His Father David.

I announce to someone who is here tonight who is connected with Greatness Personified – The Lord Jesus Christ. Because you are connected with Him; it doesn’t matter what has happened and what is happening, you shall be Great.

“Born To be Great”; two (2) words that are very important – The word “Born” and the word “Great”.

When you hear this particular theme; which is a Sub-Title for our Holy Ghost Service for this Month: “Swimming in Glory”; several of us can begin to look at it and say oh, you don’t understand where I was born, the people that gave birth to me, my background – All those things conspired against me.

My friend, it is not about where you are born: Its not about your Parentage, Its not about your background; it is about what God has said , what God has designed, what God has destined.

It is not about any of those things that might have ruled you out of Contention for Greatness. It is about what God says.

As far as God is concerned, you are born to be Great and you will be Great.

The Lord Jesus Christ was born in a Manger but He was born to be Great.

The Manger could not tie Him down, it could not keep Him down. He attained Greatness. He became what God sent Him to the world to be.

You will be exactly what God has sent you into the world to be.

The word Greatness means to be Eminent. It means to be Distinguished. It means to be a Voice to reckon with and a voice that must be listened to.

You are born to be eminent, you are born to be distinguished and as the Lord lives, before you die, the world shall celebrate you – Amen.

I like you to stand up on your feet and give “High Five” to five (5) people and tell them: As you look at me; am born to be Eminent.

Please do that confidently.

Hallelujah, Glory be to God – Amen and Amen and then you may please be seated.

Let us quickly examine the Greatness of our Lord Jesus Christ a little bit.

In Matthew 2: 1-2

1. Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judea I’m the days of Hero’s the King, Behold there came Wise men from the East to Jerusalem.
2. Saying, Where is He that is born King of the Jews? For we have seen His Star in the East and are come to worship Him.

He was born King. He was already born Great.

He was born King not because He was born in a Palace or He was given birth to by the King of the Day.

Infact when the the King of the Day heard that someone was born King and he knew all what he has done to be King; he became scared, he became jealous as he could not believed it that there was someone who was already Greater than him since the day He was born.

What he didn’t know was that even before He was born; Jesus Christ was already Great.

It doesn’t matter what the people around you say or what they are Planning. There are some people who knew before you are born that you will be Great.

They Plan to exterminate you in the womb; they didn’t succeed. Then you are born; while you are still crawling around they tried to terminate you they didn’t succeed. Several stages they have tried to destroy you but you are still here.

The fact that you are still here and listening to/reading this Word means that you are born to be Great. And you will be Great – Amen.

He was born Great. According to Luke 2:32; His mother and Joseph took Him to the Temple in order to do what the Lord had commanded.

And as they entered into the Temple; there was Simon who was waiting. And as Simon picked Him up and look at this child; he said ah you are the One I have been waiting for because God has said that I am not going to leave this world until I have seen you.

Everyone who was passing by thought that what he was holding was just a child but he saw the Saviour. He saw the Light and said this is the Light to lighten the Gentiles and the Glory of the People of Israel.

He was born Glorious. As Son carried Him in his hands; he saw Glory written all over Him.

People do not know what you are or what you will become when you are born. They thought that you are an ordinary child but God planted Greatness in you.

You have been battered by Life experiences but He has not changed His Mind concerning what He has said concerning you – You shall be Great (The Glory of the People of Israel).

Glory could means several things.

One of the things that goes along with Glory is Wealth and Prosperity

Thirty one (31) years ago; the Lord gave our father in the Lord this revelation that the Month of July must be Prosperity Month. He started “Prosperity Week” thirty one (31) years ago.

And for those of us who has come here tonight; Glory, Wealth and Prosperity shall be your portion in the Name of Jesus.

You might have looked all around you; you might have looked at the situation the country is passing through; you might have looked at your community; you might have say you don’t know what am going through. But it is not about what you are going through because your Help is not coming from Abroad. Your Help is not coming from people; your Help is coming from Above.

If He has said it, He will do it. And He is the One who has said that He will give you Power to make Wealth somehow in a way that you cannot determine.

Glory, Wealth and Prosperity shall begin to pursue you in the Name of Jesus.

According to Philippians 2: 9-11; the Bible says that God has highly exalted Him and has given Him a Name which is above every other names that at the mention of the Name Jesus, every knee should bow of things in Heaven and things on Earth and things under the Earth. And every tongues should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the Glory of God the Father.

Because He was born to be Great, He has the Greatest Name in the Universe.

… Tell your neighbour: Jesus Christ has the Greatest Name in the Universe.

This has a lot of implications for you. Because you are connected with Jesus Christ; if you are truly Born Again that Name of Jesus will go with you anywhere you go.

And because of that Name in your Mouth, everything that is contrary must bow before you because at the mention of the Name of Jesus every knees must bow.

There lies the Authority. There lies the Manifestations of the Power of God in your Life. That is the key by which you can open every doors.

There lies the ability to Pray and receive answers to Prayers because He has the Greatest Name. When you pray in that Name in confidence; the Lord will give you the request that you have asked of Him.

That is the reason why Believers can go anywhere in the Name that is above every other names and they can silent whatever adversaries.

Our father told us about a Group that went to preach somewhere and then the people came our with their Masquerade to scare away the people that will want to listen to the Gospel.

And there is a customs in that Place that if the Masquerade goes out and the drum is torn while the Masquerade is dancing that Masquerade will not see another year.

And so when the Masquerade came out and was trying to scare people away, the girl began to pray in the Name of Jesus for the drum to begin to break one by one.

You carry a Name that is Above and Greater than any other names.

So say it after me: At the mention of the Name Jesus, every knees must bow. Please say it again.

I travel to one of the European Countries some years ago. The day I was to leave, I got to the Airport and suddenly discovered that the Sky was heavy with rain that no aeroplane could fly. So the flight was postponed for thirty (30) minutes. I looked at my time and said that is fine I still have some time.

Before I knew what was happening, thirty (30) minutes has passed; they made another announcement, another thirty (30) minutes. And I know that if I don’t get to that Place at such a time I will miss the flight to Nigeria and I must get to Nigeria that day.

Immediately, I remembered the Name of Jesus. And I told the cloud: It is time for you move – Get out of the Way.

Within ten (10) minutes, the cloud cleared and they announced our flight that was going to London.

That was not the end of the story. The Terminal our Plane landed is far away from the Terminal where I have to join the Plane going to Nigeria.

And all of a sudden, I looked at the time and realized they must have finished Checking In. So what do I do? My load was already Checked In into the Plane going to Nigeria. So, I just call the Name of Jesus again.

I say: Plane you are not leaving until I enter.

As I entered the Terminal, I heard my name from the loud speaker – Odeyemi, Odeyemi, Odeyemi; go to so, so, so Place. I was the last person that entered. When I entered the Plane, I sat down, relaxed and said Plane now you can leave.

He has the Greatest Name in the Universe – At the mention of the Name Jesus; every knees should bow. Say it to your neighbour.

He was Great in Wisdom and Knowledge and Understanding.

He never attended the Conventional School but at the age of twelve (12); He contested with and silenced the Professors of His days.

In Luke 2:46-47; the Bible revealed to us that He was in the Temple and He said in the midst of the doctors (Doctors of the Law). They were hearing Him and He was asking them questions.

He dazzled them. He gave it out to them. He made them to understand that He is the One who was called the Wisdom of God.

And the Bible says that all that heard Him were astonished at His Understanding and Answers.

I am speaking to Somebody’s Life today; it doesn’t matter what they say about your brain, because you are connected with Jesus Christ (He has gotten Wisdom, Knowledge and Understanding); it will begin to manifest in your Life – Amen.

Where others do not have answers; you will have several solutions – Amen.

Very soon it will be clear to everyone that you are the one your Organisation has been waiting for. You shall become a Blessing to the whole world – Amen.

He never sat down to write a Book because He is the Word.

But do you know that when the Printing Press was invented; the First (1st) Book that was printed was the Bible.

And when the Bible was printed, it was because the Message must be heard by the Common Man.

Even though He didn’t write a Book the Number One (1) Best Seller in the World today is His Words because He is the Greatest

He fed a crowd with only five (5) loaves of bread and two (2) pieces of fishes.

The Disciples were confused when they saw the crowd. Infact in one of the accounts the Disciples told Jesus Christ – Send them away. Let them go and look for food.

But the Bible tells us in John 6: 5-6. That Verse 6 really appealed to me. The Bible says and this He said to prove Him for He Himself knew what He will do.

The Lord Jesus who sent you to the world knew what He will do about your situation. He knew how He will solve the Problems.

You are seated here tonight, you are confused. You don’t even know where to turn to whether to the right, left, forward or backward?

You are already stagnated about Life?

He knew what to do. If He could feed a crowd because the Bible says that there are five thousand (5,000) men there. My guess will he that if we can have five thousand (5,000) men somewhere; you will have over ten thousand (10,000) women. Not to talk about children.

Jesus Christ must have fed over twenty thousand (20,000) people in that day.

And He fed them only with five (5) loaves of bread and two (2) fishes because He is Great.

He manifested His Greatness by taking very little; multiplying it over the crowd and at the end of the day to show that He was Great, there was surplus.

I have Good News for you: You may look little today; He will increase you so much that people at the end of the day will begin to wonder where have you been all these while.

… You are sent here to be Great!

When He died, the Soldiers were contending for His Clothes. They were even casting Lot upon the cloth. They didn’t cast Lot on the cloth of Herod the Great or on the cloth of Pilate or that of the Priest.

But when it came to the garment of Jesus Christ, there was something unique about it. There was Greatness about the cloth that He wore that even Soldiers were contending to have His clothes.

When He died, one of the richest man of His time begged for His Body that he want Him to be buried in his own grave that he has used fortunes to prepare for his own death.

Because the Bible says in Isaiah 53:12; Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great.

Before you die, the great people will call you Great – Amen.

So you must not be surprised that the Great people of His time were threatened about His Presence.

Wherever He went, the people that are Great were threatened because His Own Greatness was from Heaven. He brought Greatness with Him. Wherever He was, there is Greatness all around Him.

He was Simple but yet they could see the Greatness.

People of His day followed Him because they saw that Greatness.

That is why am convinced that after today; you will have Followership – Amen. People will follow you because they will see Greatness in your Life – Amen.

WHAT DID JESUS DO AND WHAT MUST I DO?

Because Jesus was Great, He did some things:

Philippians 2: 7-8 reveals to us something that Jesus Christ did. The Bible says:

1. But made Himself of no reputation and took upon Him the form of a servant and was made in the likeness of men.
2. And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled Himself and became obedient unto death, even the death of the Cross.

Jesus Christ did not seek fame – Self Denial.

If you are going to be Great and nurture that seed in you; Self Denial.

You must deny yourself even of the things that other people may be enjoying.

He denied Himself fame. He denied Himself things (Pleasures) others are running after.

Service; Greatness means that you must Serve.

Somebody said that not everybody can be famous but everybody can be Great because Greatness is determined by Service. Tell your neighbour.

The idea of Greatness that many of us have is that others will be working and we sit down doing nothing.

… Those who sit down doing nothing, they eventually will become Nothing.

God is expecting you to keep busy for Him for as long as Noah was busy for Him, Noah get himself in the Plan of God. When he was no more busy and nothing to keep him busy, he quickly become alcoholic. Before he died, he begin to curse his children.

Service, God sent you into the world to be Great and He sent you into the world to Serve.

It is in Service that your Greatness will manifest.

Jesus was humble even to death on the Cross – Humility. So you must be humble.

Jesus was also obedient to His Father – So you must be obedient.

The moment Esther discovered that she was called to be Great, she was obedient to the people that were leading her. She was obedient to the things they asked her to use. Whole others were using what they liked, she listened to instructions.

Those who want to be Great must be prepared to listen to simple instructions.

The Lord Jesus Christ lived a live of Sacrifice.

What are you prepared to sacrifice for the Greatness in you to become manifest?

Joseph sacrificed the Pleasure of sin so that Greatness in him can become manifest.

As I begin to round up and begin to go to the Place of Prayer right now.

I need to inform you that apart from the Word “Born and Great”; you have two (2) words in between – ” TO BE” (The verb To Be).

The Word “Be” is a very Powerful word.

If you conjugate the verb “To Be” that is where you have “am”; that is where you have “is”; that is where you have “are”.

… ” I am”; “He is” or “She is”; “You are”.

The Past Tense of “is” is “was”.

Which means that it is possible to say: “He was Great”.

As you are seated here tonight and listening to/reading this Word; could it be said of you: “He was Great” or “She was Great”.

Samson was Great but he died not as a Great Person. He died as a Person whose Greatness was in the Past Tense.

“To Be” could be in the Present, in the Future or in the Past.

Is your Greatness already Past?

This is the Turning Point. God is about to restore your Greatness again.

Rise up on your feet as we pray together. This is the Night of Destiny – A Night when something definite must happen in your Life.

You are going to say: Heavenly Father, this is my Night, this is a Turning Point for me, restore my Greatness fully tonight.

Pray for yourself tonight. Pray like someone who has decided that Greatness must not elude him or her – My Father, restore my Greatness fully. You sent me into the world so that I can be Great. That is your Eternal Plan.

Thank You Heavenly Father. Blessed be your Name Oh Lord. In Jesus Mighty Name we Pray – Amen.

I want you to call upon the Lord and say: Heavenly Father, I don’t want to be Ex-Great; I don’t want to be Ex-Champion. I want my Greatness to continue until I see You in Glory.

Pray that Prayer for yourself – Oh, I don’t want people to say “Used to be Great”. My Father whatever you have to do in my Life do it tonight. You sent me into the world to be Great, to Prosper, to be Wealthy, to make a difference, to be a Voice – A Voice to be listened to, to be eminent, to be distinguished. That is what you sent me to the world to be my Father. Whatever you have to do, I must not be an Ex-Champion.

Thank You Heavenly Father.

… So shall it be in the Name of Jesus – Amen.

CLOSING PRAYER

And so Heavenly Father, we Thank You for the Power in Your Word. We Thank You because You have spoken into our lives already. We bless Your Name because what You destined us to be, what You sent us to accomplished we shall accomplish.

And so Heavenly Father, we pray for everyone who has prayed tonight, restore our Greatness in Name of Jesus.

Thank You Heavenly Father. In Jesus Mighty Name we pray – Amen!
