TOPIC: OFFERING, AS AN INSTRUMENT TO FLY

BIBLE TEXT: ACTS 20:35

Let Somebody shout Hallelujah – Hallelujah!

I will like you to rise on your feet – Two (2) things we are going to do before I share the Word of God with us and then, we will take the Offering:

1. The Lord spoke a very “Strong Word” as we offer Him Praises tonight that: A woman who came here with a “Mockery of Barreness” in your family; that today will mark the end of that Mockery – Amen!
2. And Secondly; Someone here, the Lord said that: The People that has been oppressing your family; that as my father (Pastor E.A Adeboye) comes on Stage here tonight – The Fire of God is going to answer them by Judgement – Amen.

So, two (2) things He asked us to do and offer Him tonight:

1. You are going to offer to the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords – The Almighty Commander In Chief the loudest “Clap Offering” and “Shout of Victory”.

… Thank You Father – Hallelujah!

2. Secondly; the Lord said that we are going to do something – We will celebrate the Grace of God upon our father and our mother; Daddy GO and Mummy GO with the loudest shout of Hallelujah and the loudest Clap Offering.

… Thank You Lord – Hallelujah!

Give the Lord a “Clap of Praise” – Congratulations!

Tonight, I’m going to share briefly that Word that was given to me on the Topic: “OFFERING AS AN INSTRUMENT TO FLY”.

When we talk about Offerings; what does the Bible says about Offerings in Acts 20:35?

Jesus said: I have shewed you all things, how that so labouring ye ought to support the weak, and to remember the Words of the Lord Jesus, how He said, It is more blessed to give than to receive.

1. So, Offering is one of the “Strongest Act of Worship” that Pleases God; one of the ‘Strongest Act of Worship” that draws the “Heart of God” to Humanity!

In the Book of Hebrews 13:16 – The Bible says: But to do Good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well Pleased.

And the Bible testifies to us that: When the Way of a Man Pleases the Lord; even His enemies shall be at Peace with him.

2. Offering is the “Surest Way” that God gives to everyone of us to work our Way out of Limitations, out of Poverty and then bring ourselves into the Realm of Increase and Multiplication.

Proverbs 11: 24 says: There is that scattereth, and yet increase; and there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth to Poverty.

So, the way to Increase is for you to offer unto the Lord your Sacrifices – Time, Talent, Precious Resources, your Tongue, your Thoughts. Give them to the use of the Kingdom and to the Glory of the Lord!

3. Now, what Offering does is that: Offering Magnates Destiny Helpers into your Life. It brings you into the Season whereby Destiny Helpers will come into your Life in the Seasons and Times of Crisis.

In the Book of Luke 6:38; Jesus said: Give, and it shall be given unto you; Good Measure, Pressed down, and shaken together, and running over (You see Destiny Helpers coming in here), shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.

God will raise men and women in different dimensions that will meet the Needs of your Life Per time.

4. Offering is Giving yourself first unto the King of Glory – Offering your Life and then giving Him your Talent, your Treasure, giving Him your entire Body as Instrument because He is the Master of all.

The Bible says to us in 2 Corinthians 8: 1-5:

1. Moreover, brethren, we do you to wit of the grace of God bestowed on the churches of Macedonia;
2. How that in a great trial of affliction the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded unto the riches of their liberality.
3. For to their power, I bear record, yea, and beyond their power they were willing of themselves;
4. Praying us with much intreaty that we would receive the gift, and take upon us the fellowship of the ministering to the saints.
5. And this they did, not as we hoped, but first gave their own selves to the Lord, and unto us by the will of God.

… So, first of all offer yourself!

Whatever that you do that is not Offering yourself as a “Living Sacrifice” is not acceptable!

And this is why we had the Privilege of Offering our lives to give ourselves to the Lord this evening.

How much you lavishly offer your Life to God will determine how lavishly God will Pour His Blessings upon your lives.

That is the reason why we are going to Fly – The reason is to go above Limitation, it is to go above the “Life of Mediocre”, to go above the “Life of Struggling” to the Place where we are going to be Flying in the “Cloud of Glory”.

2 Corinthians 9: 6-8:

6 But this I say, He which soweth sparingly/lavishly shall reap also sparingly/lavishly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.

7 Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.

8 And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every Good work:

If you give to God with Limitations; you will experience Limitations.

If you give to God with Excitement and you spread your Giving to Him; you will also receive that same way back into your Life.

Each of us should give what you have decided in your heart to give – Not reluctantly or under Compulsion because God loves a Cheerful Giver.

2 Corinthians 9:8 – And God is able to make all Grace abound towards you; that ye always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every Good work.

SO THEREFORE, WHY DO WE GIVE TO THE LORD OUR OFFERING?

1. Giving Offering shows that God is the Lord of our lives.

God is the Owner of everything that we owned – We are only Caretakers. God is the Owner of all things.

That is why you cannot Pride yourself – That is why you cannot be Proud and Arrogant when it comes to Offering your Life and Offering your Resources to God because you are not the Owner. God is the Owner.

So, when we offer our Offerings to God; we are telling Him: Lord I am not the Owner; You are the Owner!

James 1:17 says: Every Good Gift and every Perfect Gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

2. Giving shows our “Hearts of Thanksgiving and our Deep Worship”.

When we give the Lord our Offerings; we are telling Him that: Daddy, we love You, Daddy we appreciate You; we are Eternally Grateful for the Gift of the Day You have given us, we are Eternally Grateful for the Gift of a family, we are Eternally Grateful for the Gift of a Shelter, we are Eternally Grateful for the Gift of Fellowship.

… And so Giving is an “Act of Worship”.

3. Giving fuels our Aircraft for Evangelism and Kingdom Advancement.

In 1 Corithians 6: 2-3:

2 Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters?

3 Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life?

That is why the Apostles gave the “Early Church” an Instruction.

He said: Every week, each one of you should set aside a sum of money. There is no Limit to it – This is more than Tithe.

You set aside some money, save it up so that when I come; collection will be made. Then when I arrive; I will give Letters of Introduction to men and they will be sent with Gifts you approved to go and offer to assist and help in the work of Evangelism in Jerusalem.

4. Giving is a Way to Financial Success.

The way you Give get you to the realms where God begins to drop ideas on Wealth Creation into your mind.

He said: I am the Lord thy God that giveth thee the Power to create wealth.

So, when you Give, what happened is that: Heaven opens up your Spirit into “Ideas of Creative Things” that you begin to do to expand your Destiny.

WHAT ARE THE EFFECTS OF OFFERING?

When you give God your Offering; what are the Effects – The things that you will see?

1. Offering Softens – Not Bribe the heart of God because none of us can bribe God no matter what we have.

But then it softens the heart of God; it changes the heart of God to bless you and it makes God to reverse any curses that is hanging over you and your family.

Genesis 8:20-21 – The Bible says:

20. And Noah builded an Altar unto the LORD; and took of every clean beast, and of every clean fowl, and offered burnt offerings on the Altar.
21. And the LORD smelled a sweet savour and the LORD said in His heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man’s sake; for the imagination of man’s heart is evil from his Youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living as I have done.

That is why Offering is one of the Strongest Act of Worship!

In Genesis 9:1 – And God blessed Noah and his sons and said unto them, Be Fruitful and Multiply and Replenish the Earth.

2. Offering clears Limitations. It opens the door for Generational Supplies and Surprises.

That is why you realised that beginning from this night or as you read now on the Label of DMC and as my father comes on Stage – The Year 2021 is going to be the Year of Surprises for someone here now or reading now on the Label of DMC – Amen!

In Genesis 22:16-18, you see there – When Abraham offered the Offering of his son; God opened the “Door of Suprise”.

What was not available before suddenly God surprised him and God supplied his Needs.

It didn’t just end there; if you look at it – God made a Covenant and God said: I swear by myself declares the Lord. And because you have done this Offering and have not withheld your son – Your “Only son”; you have not withheld the only thing you have with you from me; I will surely bless you and will make your descendants as numerous as the Stars in the Sky and as the sand on the Seashore. Your descendants will take Possession of the Cities of your enemies and through your Offsprings; all Nations on Earth will be blessed because you have obeyed Me.

Simple Act of Obedience – To give the Lord an Unusual Offering will Provoke “Heavenly Blessings” that God Himself will take an Oat over you, over your family, over your children and you will just begin to see “Unusual Things” happening in the Life of your family because of your unusual way of Giving.

3. Giving turns lack into Plenty and it makes “Unusual Blessings” to come into your Life in the time of Famine and Crisis.

It doesn’t matter what we are experiencing right now; go and check out with all “Faithful Offerers” who offered unto the Lord their Lives and they offer to the Lord their Resources; you discovered that in the midst of this Pandemic, God has Unusually supplied all their Needs. And God has helped them in the midst of the crisis.

In 1 Kings 17: 7-16; the Bible testified to us about the Life of Elijah and a woman that was experiencing Lack in her time – There was Famine.

But then because she gave an Offering – An Unusual Offering; the Bible testified to us and this is what the Word of the Lord said.

And that is the Word coming forth tonight from the mouth of my father – Just one word is going to Change the entire Season of your Life – Amen.

And this is the Word of the Lord that came and this is what the Lord says – The God of Israel: The Jar of Flour will not be used up and the Jar of Oil in your family will not run dry until the day the Lord sent down the rain upon the Lord.

That is going to be the Portion of somebody here tonight or as you read now on the Label of DMC the Name of Jesus – Amen!

1 Kings 3: 4-15; you see there that when you give the Lord your Offering; it makes Heaven to release a Mighty Rain of Uncommon Honour, Uncommon Riches and Preferential Treatment.

And we see this also in the Life of Solomon – He offered a thousand “Burnt Offerings” on the Altar.

And what happened?

God intervened and spoke into his Life things that he never asked for; God said He will give it to him.

And then in Marks 12: 41-44; you see there the Life of distinction in the Life of a woman here – The Bible says the woman gave out of her Poverty.

Jesus Christ was the One standing by and saw the way this woman was Giving her Offering – Her Offering was “Heart Touching” as it touched the heart of Jesus Christ.

And do you know the Amazing Thing – Jesus Christ made a recommendation of that woman.

You see, when you offer your Offering – Thousands of People and Millions of People can offer but then it is the “State of your Heart” which is what you offered to the Lord that will touch the Heart of God to begin to speak on your behalf.

And He will established an Eternal Memorial for you – Amen.

Jesus Christ said: The story of this woman shall be heard all over the world.

As we offer the Lord your Offering today; I want you to understand that your Offering will mobilise Heaven on your behalf; your Offering will make the attention of God to be centered on your family.

And right now as we begin to Prepare your Offerings and this is going to happen all the days of your Life – Amen.

In Acts 10:31; the Bible says – And Cornelius Prayed.

Prayer is one thing; your Offerings to the Almighty God is another thing!

The Bible says: And said, Cornelius, thy Prayer is heard, and thine alms are had in remembrance in the sight of God.

Now, this is what God said through the Angel in Verse 32 – Cornelius, God has heard your Prayers; God has remembered your Gifts to the Poor (Offering to the Poor); now send to Joppa for Simon who is called Peter.

Peter is in the Position of our father.

You can imagine now our father, Peter – Being the Head of the Church now and God now speaking to our father concerning a “Specific Individual”.

… And the Lord said to Cornelius: Send to the house of Joppa.

When he sent to the house of Joppa; there was “No Rejection” but rather Peter accepted the family and he accepted to go down to that small home to rejoice with them and release the Blessings of God.

What has never happened in History!

Protocol was broken that day and the Gentiles were able to receive an Outpouring of one of the Greatest Gift – And that is the Gift of the Holy Spirit!

NOW, HOW DO WE GIVE?

1. We give based on Choice and not out of Compulsion – 2 Corinthians 9:7:

Every man according as he Purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.

2. Giving should be done with Cheerfulness and Excitement of Heart.

You don’t give to God frowning your face – God does not need such Offerings.

He only gives you the Privilege to offer yourself and your resources unto Him. – Read 2 Corinthians 9:7.

3. Giving should be done with Contritement, with Humility and with Honour.

Don’t ever take a Gift to God even if it is Billions and then you give with Pride – Your Offerings won’t be accepted!

Even though you came with Billions of Naira; it will not be accepted.

A Widow woman with only one (1) cent with Humility and with Contritement and Brokenness offered an Offering and it was accepted.

So, anytime we offer to the Lord, let us not be Proud – Let us humble ourselves with Contritement, with Humility and with Honour.

God will accept our Sacrifice – Amen.

Read Proverbs 3: 9-10

9. Honour the LORD with thy Substance and with the fitstfruits of all thine Increase.
10. So shall thy barns be filled with Plenty and thy Presses shall burst out with New Wine.
11. And then Giving should be done Charismatically, with Urgency and Promptness.

Don’t be reluctant – God doesn’t accept you when you drag your feet when you are coming to offer Him an Offering.

Offer it with Thanksgiving – Just as we saw our mother (Mummy GO) tonight – Offer her “Offering of Dancing” to the Lord.

So, we are going to rise to our feet at this Particular moment to offer our Offerings unto the Lord.

Take Up your “Covenant Offering” for this RCCG Congress 2020.

Now, take up your Offering and let us offer God our Offerings of Thanksgiving.

PRAYER OVER THANKSGIVING OFFERING

Now, I’m going to Pray with us in the Name of the Lord and all you need to do is to receive these seven (7) Blessings with the loudest Amen and the matter is settled:

1. The Lord will give you Unusual Blessings – Amen.
2. The Lord will give you Unusual Breakthroughs – Amen.
3. The Lord will give you Unusual Promotions – Amen.
4. The Lord will break every Yokes of Stagnations in your Life – Amen.
5. The Lord will make you Fruitful from barreness – Amen.
6. You will enjoy the Banner of Mercy – Amen.
7. And Finally, this is a Testimony that you will go home with: The Lord will beautify your Destiny with Honour – Amen!
