TOPIC: PRAYER FOR THE FAMILY

BIBLE TEXT: GENESIS 3: 20-25

OPENING PRAYER

Our Father and our God; Alpha and Omega; the Beginning and the Ending.

We Thank You for the Salvation of our Souls, we Thank You for the Congress.

We Thank You because we know that You will take Total Control – Please, accept our Thanks in Jesus Name.

Lord Jesus; we hand over this Congress to Your “Able Hands”; Lord Jesus direct us, be the Director, destroy all the works of demons and darkness.

Daddy, we appreciate You because You answer our Prayers.

In Jesus Name we Pray – Amen!

Praise God – Hallelujah!

This is another Glorious Year of The RCCG Holy Ghost Congress (Year 2020) – God reveals Himself in a New Dimension in the Congress every Year.

This is the Program of the Lord God Almighty Himself; where He blesses His People all over the world.

Psalms: 91:1 says: He that dwelleth in the Secret Place of the Most High shall abide under the Shadow of the Almighty.

We thank God Almighty for this Year’s Congress.

I want to appreciate Papa and Mama GO – Pastor and Pastor (Mrs) E.A Adeboye of The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG). We want to thank God for your Life sir/ma.

The Leadership Style of Baba Adeboye is Humility, Genuine Love, Integrity, Dignity, Credibility, Reliability, Honesty, Generousity and Zeal for the things of God has no equal.

The things that Papa and Mama GO are doing as works will continue to speak for them from Generation to Generation.

I appreciate respect and the anointing of God upon your Life – Your Life and Ministry has touched millions of People’s lives.

May God continue to empower you in Jesus Name – Amen.

I thank all the Members of the Planning Committee and all families of The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) – You are wonderful People of God. Your Preparations and Organisations are commendable.

Thank you for your efforts – God will reward you greatly in Jesus Name – Amen.

I welcome all Dignitaries around the Globe – All the children of The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) worldwide and all lovers of the Ministries – The God of Baba Enoch Adeboye will turn your Lives around for Good in Jesus Name – Amen.

What is the meaning of the Family?

The family is the Fundamental Institution of the Society Ordained by God.

It is constituted by Man and composed of Persons related to one another by Marriage, Blood or Adoption.

The Family is the Fundamental Institution in Human Society – Genesis 3: 20-24:

20 And Adam called his wife’s name Eve; because she was the mother of all living.

21 Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them.

22 And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:

23 Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken.

24 So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.

Before we Pray for the Family; we need to see what the Laws says about the Family.

Every Countries has Laws and Rules – Laws to take Visa, Laws to Travel, Laws of Traffic etc.

When you break the Laws of any Country or any Government; reparcautions will follow.

So, Marriage and Family has Laws to keep.

From the beginning; our forefather and foremother – Adam and Eve; they broke the Laws of God by eating the “forbidden fruit”. They disobeyed God and the reparcautions came upon them till today.

Genesis 2: 15-17:

15 And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the Garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.

16 And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the Garden thou mayest freely eat:

17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

Satan, deceived them and they disobeyed the Laws of the Lord and that is how trouble came to the whole world.

I have many Laws of Marriage and Family but because of the time; I want to share just four (4) of them to you:

1. Law No 1 says that: You must Love your wife.

John 15: 12 and 17 says:

12 This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you.

17 These things I command you, that ye love one another.

God commanded wife and husband to love each other – Father In-law, Mother In-law and the children.

In Ephesians 5: 28-30:

28 So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. He that loveth his wife loveth himself.

29 For no man ever yet hated his own flesh; but nourisheth and cherisheth it, even as the Lord the Church:

30 For we are Members of His Body, of His Flesh, and of His Bones.

So, that is the Instruction of the Lord Almighty – It is a command, it is an instruction to love your wife, to love your husband, father in-law, mother in-law and your children.

Breaking this Law will result to closing the door of Blessings for the Family.

2. Law No 2 says: Wives must submit to their husbands; Honour your husbands.

Ephesians 5: 22-24 says:

22. Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands as unto the Lord.
23. For the husband is the Head of the wife, even as Christ is the Head of the Church: and He is the Saviour of the body.
24. Therefore as the Church is subject unto Christ; so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.

When you don’t see this in the husband and wife as stated in the Bible; the life of Baba and Mama Adeboye is a “Living Testimony” that they live in Harmony, in Love, in Humility, in Respect to each other.

So, if you want Peace in your Marriages, in your families; you must keep the Laws of Marriage!

Colossians 3: 18-21 says:

18 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord.

19 Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them.

20 Children, obey your Parents in all things: for this is well Pleasing unto the Lord.

21 Fathers, Provoke not your children to anger, lest they be discouraged.

It is important to keep and to take to the instructions of the Bible.

Many People are outside the Bible. The Bible is like a Compass that shows the ways of the Lord to everybody.

So, if you want Peace in your Family; you must keep the Laws of Marriage!

3. Law No 3: If you want Peace; Forgive and Forget each other.

If you want Peace, Comfort, wants Angels of God to direct you, you want the Peace of God to reign in your Family – You must let the matter go (Forgive and Forget).

Colossians 3: 13-14 says:

13 Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.

14 And above all these things put on Charity, which is the bond of Perfectness.

When you are Praying; you are talking to God and when you are listening to the Message; God is talking to you.

If you want Peace and Happiness in your Marriage; you must let the matter go and Forgive and Forget.

There is an Ijesha Language Adage that says: Oja a moju kuro ni agba na.

That is: The elderly overlook small, small things that can make quarrel.

In Matthew Chapter 18; Christ Jesus said that we must Forgive each other.

Matthew 18: 21-22 says:

21 Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times?

22 Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.

My dear brother and sister; you are watching me all over the world or reading now on the Label of DMC; it is an instruction that you must Forgive each other – Forgive your father in-law, mother in-law, Children, wife, husband.

It is not too much to say: “Sorry” to your wife, to say “Sorry” to your husband – Then the bitterness will move away from your hearts.

And when you keep malice against your husband, against your wife; your Prayers will never be answered.

I want you to keep the Laws of Marriage – When you don’t break the Law of the Country; you will live your own Life in that Country.

4. Law No 4: It says that you must not Divorce.

Many People are not inside the Bible – They are outside the Bible.

When you are outside the Bible; you will do your own; you will make mistakes.

But when you know the Bible; you know what the Bible says about everything.

Then the Law says: You must not Divorce.

Some Marriages, three (3) Months broken away; six (6) Months broken away; one (1) Year broken away.

Why? – Because they didn’t listen to the voice of the Lord.

Marriage is for better and for worst! – So, the Law says you must not Divorce.

Can you see People of God? – All these Laws, God does not joke with it!

You see Law No 3; He Forgives – Christ Jesus Forgives us and He said that we must Forgive others as He Forgives us!

And in Malachi 2:16; God said: For the LORD, the God of Israel, saith that He hateth putting away: for one covereth violence with his garment, saith the LORD of Hosts: therefore take heed to your Spirit, that ye deal not treacherously.

… So, Marriage is for Better and for Worst!

So, we are going to Pray for the Family all over the world.

There are many Problems in the Family.

Why? – Because they broke the Laws of Marriage.

We are going to Pray now and I want you to take it serious – Just three (3) Points of Prayers.

1. We are going to Pray: You call the Name of Jesus three (3) times; the Power in the Blood of Jesus three (3) times.

Lord Jesus, destroy all the hands of demons, darkness, evil spirits in all the families around the Globe.

Shall we Pray!

In Jesus Name we Pray – Amen.

2. We are going to Pray – I want you to take it seriously and you can even Pray it in your own Language (Local Dialect).

And then open your mouth and Pray: Let the Peace of God reign in my Family, in all families of the world.

Maybe there is a Problem – The Bible says do not let your heart be troubled.

That’s why even as you are listening to this Message or reading now on the Label of DMC; it is not too late – Cry to Jesus.

He is the “Prince of Peace”. If you can open your mouth; Peace will come back into your Family – Amen.

We are going to Pray: You call the Name of Jesus three (3) times; the Power in the Blood of Jesus three (3) times; Lord Jesus – Let the Peace of God reign in my Family, in all families in the world.

Shall we Pray!

In Jesus Name we Pray – Amen.

3. We are going to Pray: God restore every broken Family back.

Let me tell you: I don’t know if you have Problems in your Family; do not let your heart be troubled at all. He loves you.

I want you to Pray: Lord restore back my Family. Everything that satan Stole: Peace, Joy, Happiness that is lost in my Family; restore it back to me.

Close your eyes; raise up your hands and Pray.

In Jesus Name we Pray – Amen.

4. Let us Pray now for our Papa GO that as God is using him – His Life affected millions of People.

Raise up your two (2) hands up and call on the Name of Jesus three (3) times and Pray that Lord God Almighty will empower Baba GO and Mama GO and empower them and give them long Life.

Shall we Pray for them?

In Jesus Name we Pray – Amen.

CLOSING PRAYER

Everlasting Father, we Thank You for this Year’s Congress.

We appreciate You Lord Jesus that You have revealed to us four (4) Categories of the Laws that we must keep.

Everlasting Father, any area(s) that we have broken the Laws of Marriage; Lord Jesus Pardon us and Forgive us.

All the families that satan has taken control of; Lord Jesus destroy the hands of satan, destroy all the works of satan and evil spirits in the Life of all the families around the Globe.

In the Name of Father, Son and the Holy Spirit; we Pray for our Papa GO and Mama GO; Lord Jesus we Thank You for what You are using them for. Everlasting Father, give them “Fresh Anointing”; give them Long Life; Lord Jesus destroy all the works of satan in their lives.

This is our request Lord – Please, grant it for us (Amen).
