If you know that you have experienced an awesome moment, shout Hallelujah – Hallelujah.

Father, we want to Thank You!

We want to Thank You for the Multitudes of Wonderful works.

Lord we Thank You; Father we Thank You.

O ye ka dupe; O ye ka dupe (We ought to give Praises, We ought to give Praises)

Aara n san; Ategun n fe (The Thunder Thundered, The Wind Blew)

Iji ja ki gbe wa lo (The Storm struck but didn’t sweep us away)

O ye ka dupe (We ought to give Praises)

OPENING PRAYER

Father we have essentially come to say Thank You!

For all Your Good works, for the Salvation of our Souls, and for bearing us on Eagles’ Wings.

We have come to say Thank You for our Parents-in-the-Lord (Our Leaders) for what You have done for them.

For keeping them for this Great move, for Protecting them for this Day that our Daddy has reached Eighty-two (82) years.

Please, accept our Thanks in the Name of Jesus.

We heard Great Testimonies in the course of this Programme.

If it’s only the thing that You did on the road to Ilorin (DMC NOTES: “Ilorin” is Capital City of Kwara State Nigeria), without talking about all the other things.

For You to keep Him alive to reach this age, to enable this Great work; so that all of us will benefit, we say Thank You.

We say Thank You!

Please, accept our Thanks in the Name of Jesus.

And so this Morning we have gathered again as You have ordered; and as our Leaders have ordered, following the Pattern of Scriptures.

We ask that You will accept our Thanks; and draw us closer to Yourself.

In Jesus’ Name we Pray – Amen.

Praise the Lord – Hallelujah!

I want you to just get ready for this few Minutes, to let us reflect and then learn to be giving Thanks to God regularly.

And that’s why I would like to read Psalms 92:1-2. And the Scripture says there;

1 It is a Good thing to give Thanks unto the LORD, and to sing Praises unto thy Name, O Most High:

2 To shew forth thy Lovingkindness in the Morning, and thy Faithfulness every Night,

I will briefly just be reflecting on: LIVING A LIFE OF THANKSGIVING

SEVEN MAIN FESTIVALS IN THE BIBLE

God has been so Good to us!

In fact, when I went through the Scriptures again, I saw Seven (7) main Festivals in the Bible.

If you read – Leviticus 23, Numbers 28-29, Deuteronomy 16, you will see these Seven 7 Main Festivals.

1. The Feast of Passover.
2. The Feast of Unleavened Bread.
3. The Feast of First Fruits.
4. The Feast of the Harvest.
5. The Feast of the Trumpet.
6. The Feast of Day of Atonement.
7. The Feast of the Tabernacle.

All these feasts are for us to always remember God’s Goodness and be Thankful.

In fact, Bible Scholars believe that these Feasts exist for us to regularly be Thanking God for His Wonderful works.

That is why you will see that in the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), our Programmes start with Appreciating God and ends with Thanksgiving.

Our father has taught us this Pattern, and I have followed him closely.

Even in his Sermons, he will first of all give Thanks to God and Worship Him and in the end, he will do the same.

Even in dishing out Prayer Points, you will see that they begin with Thanksgiving.

That is why, this is a Call for us to be living a Life of Thanksgiving, for the Great things that He has done for our Parents-in-the-Lord and for this Mission.

You go around the world and look around, you will know that what God is doing for us in this Mission through our Parents-in-the-Lord is Peculiar.

…. There’s no other way you can explain it – This is Divine!

So, when we have this Theme: “ON EAGLE’S WINGS” it is a Call to to all of us.

1. A Call to Higher Ways in God:

Isaiah 55:9, For as the Heavens are higher than the Earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

2. A Call to Higher Works:

John 5:20, For the Father loveth the Son, and sheweth him all things that himself doeth: and He will shew him Greater works than these, that ye may marvel.

John 14:12, Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and Greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.

3. A Call to Higher Witnesses:

John 5: 36, But I have Greater Witness than that of John: for the works which the Father hath given me to finish, the same works that I do, bear Witness of me, that the Father hath sent me.

4. A Call to Higher Wonders:

Exodus 19:3-6, Ye have seen what I did unto the Egyptians, and how I bare you on Eagles’ wings, and brought you unto myself.

That’s why Daddy GO spent some time exposing to us that Exodus 19:3-6 – And we learnt quite a lot.

I have never seen any Solemn Assembly like to the one we just had – Wonderful because it is a Call to Higher Wonders.

5. A Call to Higher Width of Revelations:

Job 11:7-9, Canst thou by searching find out God? canst thou find out the Almighty unto Perfection? It is as high as Heaven; what canst thou do? deeper than hell; what canst thou know? The measure thereof is longer than the Earth, and broader than the sea.

6. A Call to Higher Wisdom:

Luke 2:40, And the child grew, and waxed Strong in Spirit, filled with Wisdom: and the Grace of God was upon him.

1 Corinthians 1:20-24, For after that in the Wisdom of God the world by Wisdom knew not God, it Pleased God by the Foolishness of Preaching to save them that believe.

7. A Call to Higher Worship:

John 4:23-24, But the hour cometh, and now is, when the True Worshippers shall Worship the Father in Spirit and in Truth: for the Father seeketh such to Worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that Worship Him must Worship Him in Spirit and in Truth.

… God wants us to be Worshipping Him in Spirit and in Truth.

That’s why when you look at that Scripture that our Daddy did Exposition on (Exodus 19:1-6); three (3) Major Things from that Passage – Exodus 19:3-4:

1. The Method of Renewal in our Christian Life Journey.

Deuteronomy 32:11-14, As an Eagle stirreth up her nest, fluttereth over her young, spreadeth abroad her wings, taketh them, beareth them on her wings: So the LORD alone did lead him, and there was no Strange god with him. He made him ride on the high Places of the Earth, that he might eat the increase of the fields; and he made him to suck honey out of the rock, and oil out of the flinty rock;

You would see here that:

• God Builds us
• God Breaks us
• God Broods over us
• God Pierces us
• God Boosts us
• He brings us out.

And then, He blesses us – According to Psalms 66:12, Thou hast caused men to ride over our heads; we went through fire and through water: but thou broughtest us out into a Wealthy Place.

… And you’ll also see from that Scripture (Exodus 19:3-4);

2. The Motive and Meaning of the Christian Life Journey.

And that is that, God wants us to know Him, and that is why He saves us.

And then, He doesn’t just wants us to know Him and be saved; but He wants to bring us unto Himself.

Not just to bring us out of Bondage; but to bring us unto Himself.

… That’s the Major Motive of the Christian Life Journey.

3. The Motion and Movement of the Christian Life Journey.

You would see that in Isaiah 40:31, But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their Strength; They shall mount up with Wings like Eagles’, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.

For Example:

• You see Strolling Speed: They shall walk and not faint.
• You see Sprinting Speed: They shall run and not be weary
• You see Soaring Speed: They shall mount up with Wings like Eagles’,

And I have seen that God has brought us to the level of Soaring Speed; through the Good work of our Parents-in-the-Lord.

Check other Ministries, there are still those who are labouring; and are under the Strolling Speed; under the Sprinting Speed.

But in the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG); the attitudes of our Parents-in-the-Lord has brought us to Soaring Speed; with Soaring Grace.

… We are now Mounting Up with Winds as Eagles.

And as a result of this, we must learn some things, as I Conclude:

What God expects from us, after what He had been doing for us in this Mission (RCCG);

After what He is doing for our Parents-in-the-Lord – so that it would also be well with us;

God is expecting us to be Living Thankfully.

AND HOW DO WE LIVE A LIFE OF THANKSGIVING?

1. We must learn to be Thinking Thankfully:

Philippians 4:8, Finally, Brethren, whatsoever things are True, whatsoever things are Honest, whatsoever things are Just, whatsoever things are Pure, whatsoever things are Lovely, whatsoever things are of Good Report; if there be any Virtue, and if there be any Praise, think on these things.

Psalms 50:22, Now consider this, ye that forget God, lest I tear you in pieces, and there be none to deliver.

2. We must learn to be Talking Thankfully:

Psalms 50:23, Whoso offereth Praise Glorifieth me: and to him that ordereth his conversation aright will I shew the Salvation of God.

3. We must also learn to be Taking Action Thankfully from now on, in all that we do.

1 Thessalonians 5:8, But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the Breastplate of Faith and Love; and for an helmet, the Hope of syalvation.

4. We must learn to be Testifying Thankfully.
5. And we must also learn to be Travelling in this Christian journey on Eagles’ Wings Thankfully.

That was why Daddy concluded that Exposition by reminding us that, even in the Plane, when you fly in the Air; one major Statement you hear is, “Thank You for Flying with us.”

Even those of us traveling in the Plane also learn to say “Thank You” to the Hostesses when they are serving us.

I want you to rise up this Morning and just say: Father, I Thank You. From now on, I want to be living a Life of Thanksgiving.

ALTAR CALL

And for those of you who are out there or reading now on the Label of DMC – Maybe throughout this Programme, you didn’t have the opportunity to Surrender your Life to Christ.

I want you to Take Action Thankfully this Morning by Surrendering your Life to Jesus Christ wherever you are or reading this Message now on the Label of DMC:

This is a Wonderful moment, as our father-in-the-Lord celebrates his Eighty Two (82) Birthday.

You will find it very easy to remember the Period you gave your Life to Jesus Christ.

Come and show Appreciation for His Death and Resurrection; and for His Sacrifice on the Cross.

Come and also show Appreciation for our Parents-in-the-Lord putting this Special Programme together for your Good.

CLOSING PRAYER

And so Father, we want to Thank You once again this Morning for all that You have done.

We can’t Thank You enough!

Please, accept our Thanks in the Name of Jesus.

The Choir sang a song yesterday – that even in the midst of False Brethrens, You Stand by us;

And You have been Standing by our Parents-in-the-Lord in the midst of False Accusers, and Standing by this Church (RCCG).

In the midst of distractions and discouragement, You have been Standing by our Parents-in-the-Lord, and Standing by this Church (RCCG).

Please accept our Thanks in the Name of Jesus.

And so Lord, as we appreciate You today, we ask that You will keep Standing by us.

You’ll keep Standing by our Parents-in-the-Lord.

In Jesus’ Name, we Pray – Amen.
