TOPIC: MOVE, MOUNTAIN MOVE

BIBLE TEXT: MARK 11:23-24

I bring you Greetings from Covenant Family Church.

Greetings from my Wife, our children and grandchildren.

I Pray: All is well, in Jesus’ Name – Amen.

This Morning, I was given the Subject: MOVE, MOUNTAIN MOVE.

Which means, Mountain get out of my way! And if you won’t get out of my way,, I will do something to get rid of you.

Our Theme for this Holy Ghost Congress is: ONWARD CHRISTIAN SOLDIER.

So, what I will try to do is to stay under the Main Guideline, “Onward Christian Soldier” and try to hook up the Subject “Move, Mountain Move”.

Anytime you talk about moving a Mountain, first of all, we will go to Mark 11:23-24, where Jesus Christ said:

23. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this Mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
24. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye Pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.

The bottom line is this; to move a Mountain we are talking about Faith.

Faith should be in Two (2) Places:

I. It should be in your Heart, and

II. It should be in your mouth.

Some of us, we do believe in our Heart, but we don’t say so with our mouth.

Some of us, we talk with our mouth, but we don’t believe in our Heart.

So, moving a Mountain is a Faith Statement, from the Heart to the mouth; then to the Mountain.

How do you get saved?

Romans 10:9-10 says, That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine Heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the Heart Man believeth unto Righteousness; and with the mouth Confession is made unto Salvation.

Meaning What?

From the Heart to the mouth, you must make a Confession.

Because Luke 6:45 says: For out of the abundance of the Heart, the mouth speaks.

The great Apostle Paul said in 2 Corinthians 4:13, We having the same Spirit of Faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;

… I have believed in my Heart, just as I have spoken with my mouth: Move, Mountain Move!

A CASE STUDY OF DAVID

I want to talk about Mountain – And you can find this in the Life of a Young Man called David.

David was chosen by God. After the Lord rejected Saul, He chose David, for one (1) reason only – Because he was Pure in Heart.

… His Heart was Pure towards God.

1 Samuel 13:14 says, But now thy Kingdom shall not continue: the LORD hath sought him a Man after His own Heart, and the LORD hath Commanded him to be Captain over his People, because thou hast not kept that which the LORD Commanded thee.

And Acts 13:22 also says, And when he had removed him, he raised up unto them David to be their king; to whom also he gave Testimony, and said, I have found David the son of Jesse, a Man after mine own Heart, which shall fulfil all my Will.

The Lord said, I have Chosen a Man after my own Heart.

When you look at David, he was a Teenager – A Young boy.

But it doesn’t matter, because the Lord said, I have found a ‘Man’ – He did not say a boy. He is a Man in his Heart.

When Samuel came to pour Oil, he looked at David’s brother – Tall and handsome. But the Lord said to Samuel in 1 Samuel 16:7, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the LORD seeth not as Man seeth; for Man looketh on the Outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the Heart.

Don’t look at the Outward appearance.

Men look at the Outward, but I the Lord, look at the Heart. And I have found this boy.

Guess what? David was not even there – He was out there in the bush.

Do you know what? God chooses those who are sent out and forgotten.

God chose David.

The Word of God says in 2 Chronicles 16:9, For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole Earth, to shew himself Strong in the behalf of them whose Heart is Perfect toward him.

Apostle Paul said in 1 Corinthians 1:27, But God hath Chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the Wise; and God hath Chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are Mighty;

When we talk about a Commando for the LORD, it is David.

Samuel anointed him – Isn’t that interesting?

After Samuel anointed David, guess what he was doing? He was keeping his father’s sheep.

How many of us, when we know we are going to be King, will still be keeping sheep? None!

But David’s Heart was right. And the Lord chose him because of certain things.

Do you know, when we read the Story of David in 1 Samuel 16:18, it tells you why God chose David.

Let me break it down for you;

Then answered one of the Servants, and said, Behold, I have seen a son of Jesse the Bethlehemite, that is cunning in Playing, and a Mighty Valiant Man, and a Man of war, and Prudent in matters, and a comely Person, and the LORD is with him.

Before we talk about moving the Mountain – Move, Mountain Move; we need to find out, “What was the situation that was going on with David, that made the Lord to choose him?

QUALITIES OF DAVID

According to 1 Samuel 16:18, there are Six (6) things the Bible wrote about David:

1. He was Excellent:

David was Excellent at what he was doing.

He was a Young Man, but he was Talented – Excellent in Playing the harp.

Wait a Minute! He was out in the bush keeping his father’s sheep. But he was Excellent in using his God given Talent to Worship God and God alone.

He Worshipped and Praised God even when Nobody was there except the animals.

David was Good with the harp.

2. He was Courageous:

David was a Mighty Man.

In the Natural, he was a boy. But the
Word of God says he was a Mighty ‘Man.’

He was a Courageous Man, because the Bible says, when he was keeping his father’s sheep, a Lion and a Bear came.

And guess what? He took care of them – He destroyed them.

• He was Excellent;
• He was Courageous.

1. He was Brave:

David was a Man of war – A brave Warrior.

In other words, he had no fear.

… If you are wondering why God chose David:

• He was excellent at what he was doing.
• He was courageous.
• He was brave.

1. He was Responsible:

David was responsible, taking care of his father’s sheep.

He had Good Judgement.

5. He had Self Respect:

David was a Well Vroomed Young Man, with self respect.

I mean, you are keep your father’s sheep, you don’t need to shave.

Not David! He said, I am God’s Man, so I must look Good.

Like me; it doesn’t matter where I am, I always dress well.

Why? Because the Bible is full of so many Scriptures about how a Man of God should dress.

David knew this.

… And the best of all the Six (6) Qualities;

6. God was with him:

• He was excellent at what he was doing.
• He was courageous.
• He was brave, had no fear.
• He was responsible.
• He was a well groomed young man.
• God was with him.

And these were the Reasons God chose David.

Now, let us go to the Topic: “Move, Mountain Move.”

Let’s talk about this one. David was keeping his father’s sheep. He was anointed to be King – He is not King yet but he still respected his father.

He could have said, “what kind of a father are you? You’ve got to send my brothers and leave me alone: now I am anointed to be King, I won’t obey you.”

No! David still said, what would you have me do, father? His father said, son, take this basket of food, go serve your brothers who hate you. See why God loved David?

Before you can kill a Giant; before you can move a Mountain, you need to take care of your Heart.

He said, yes Daddy, I will do it. So he took the basket of food to his brothers.

And for forty (40) days this Mighty Man (Goliath) – Somebody said he weighed up to about 500 to 600 Pounds. The Israelites were all moved by what they saw – His height.

Forty (40) days, Morning and Night, he was just talking, defiling the Army of the Lord God of Israel; and they were scared.

Why? Because of the words from the mouth of a Man called Goliath, fear came.

But David said, no way! “Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.”

So David went over to him and said, I am not moved by what I see; I am moved by the Word of God. I am moved by the Faith in the Son of the Living God.

2 Corinthians 5:7 says, (For we walk by Faith, not by sight:)

He went down to the battlefield, he heard this Giant making a noise. David said, who is this uncircumcised Philistine that defiles the Army of God? We won’t allow this.

Then he came to his brothers and said, here is your food. And they said to him: why are you here? What did you do with the sheep?

But the Bible says, before David went to take the food to his brothers, he gave responsibility to one of the Shepherds. He said, you take care of the sheep whilst I go to see my brothers.

The brothers discouraged him – They said, why are you here? We know you have come to see the war.

What war? The People were hiding, including King Saul – The tallest of all. He was hiding. But David said, no way!

He remembered what the Scripture says in Hebrews 11:6, “God is a Rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”

So he said, I’ve been seeking God. In the bush, I have been worshipping my Lord, my King, my Saviour, Provider; my Protector. And this guy is speaking trash.

So he left his brothers, went to one guy and asked: Please, what is the Reward for killing this man?

That one said, “you don’t know?” No, I don’t!

I. King Saul is going give the fellow so much Wealth.

II. He is going to give his daughter to be the wife of the man who kills this Giant.

III. The fellow won’t have to pay Tax for the rest of his Life.

“What? I will kill this Giant.”

And everybody said, No, you cannot.

His brothers said, you better go back home.

He asked the guy one more time: What did you say is the Reward again?

You know, in the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), we talk about Holiness and Sanctification – Let me tell you the reason we do that.

The Bible says in Psalms 91:1-2: He that dwelleth in the Secret Place of the Most High shall abide under the Shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust.

So, we Preach Holiness, knowing that when this Life is over, we will be rewarded.

Remember this – Reward is God’s idea, not ours.

We live Holy lives because God said, when all is said and done: I would say, “Well done, thou Good and Faithful Servant.”

David went to King Saul; by the way, King Saul was hiding.

As a matter of fact, he had taken his armour off, hung it on the wall.

And David comes in, said ‘King.’ Yes!

David is a Young Man, but he says he is going to take Goliath out.

“Say what?” Everybody is hiding; this guy is different? He says, “I am going to take him out!”

Because Goliath had said, send me a Man, one-on-one – If I take him down, you all will be our Slaves; if you take me down, we all will be your Slaves.

So David went to Saul. The King said, Boy, what are you doing here? He replied, “I will go out there and take him down.”

Saul replied, “you can’t do that, you are a boy. But he has been a warrior from his Youth – He is a Champion.

David said, Champion or no Champion; I am going in the Name of my LORD. The One who helped me kill a Lion and Bear. And I am going to take him out.

Why? Move, Mountain Move, in the Name of Jesus – Amen.

Saul said, wait a Minute! I see you only have a staff in your hand. Look, you need an armour.

Now watch this: Saul is disturbed because David is a small boy. He tried to put his own armour on the boy. But David couldn’t walk in them. He said to the King: Sir, with all due respect, I cannot use your armour.

Why? Because I have only one armour! One armour on Sunday and the other days of the week. I don’t have two (2) armours.

So, I will wear the Armour of God, like Ephesians 6:11 says: “Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.”

Saul said, okay! May God be with you.

Watch this: Saul said, “May God be with you.”

Why? Because God had left Saul.

David said, Yes Sir! I am going.

So David went to the battlefield with just a little staff in his hand.

He went to the brook where the Soldiers were hiding. And he took five (5) smooth stones, put them in his Shepherd bag and then he went to confront Goliath.

Somebody may say: “Why did he take five (5) stones?

Some Preachers say it’s so that if he missed one, he would use the next – That is nonsense!

In 1 Samuel 21:15-22, the Bible says Goliath had four (4) brothers – So David was not an ignorant boy. He said, I will take you down; and I am going to take your four (4) brothers down also.

David said, I am going to take all of you down, that is why I am taking five (5) stones. Not that if the first stone fails I will use the next. No, “you all are going down!”

Here is Goliath, he saw David coming, he stood, saw himself Mighty. Hence, he made fun of David, intimidating him. He said, I asked for a Man to Challenge me. What are you doing here, little boy?

Hey boy, are you here to see me? Oh! You’ve got a stick in your hand. Do you think I am a dog?

David said, look here Mr. Man, dog or no dog: I have killed a Lion and a Bear and a dog is no Problem.

Now, most of us just read this Story, we have forgotten this part.

But guess what? Here is a Goliath, just smiling, and the little boy took him down!

Listen, I am going to Prove it to you: Goliath sat down, he said, “Get out of here boy. I don’t have time to waste on you.”

We saw that later on in 1 Samuel 17:48; And it came to pass, when the Philistine arose, and came, and drew nigh to meet David, that David hastened, and ran toward the Army to meet the Philistine.

The Bible says Goliath rose when David started Challenging him.

Move, Mountain Move!

So Goliath was sitting down.

In our Church, I always give Five (5) Points to every Sermon I Preach.

What did I say at the beginning?

• Faith should be in your Heart, which should also be right towards God.
• And then use your mouth to speak the Word of God, which is a two-edged sword:

I. One edge: when God speaks.

II. The second edge: when you speak the same thing.

… That’s when it becomes a two-edged sword.

THE FIVE (5) CONFESSIONS OF DAVID.

Let me talk about the five (5) Confessions David made:

The moment Goliath said: “Boy, get away from here, else I am going to kill you today. I curse you in the name of my gods (idols).”

Here are David’s Responses: His heart was filled with the Word of God, hence he wrote in Psalms 119:11 – Thy Word have I hid in mine Heart, that I might not sin against thee.

I have kept Your Word in my Heart that I might not sin against You. I stay with You, my LORD and my GOD.

He said, Goliath, you come to me in the name of all these dumb idols (God’s);

1. “I come to you in the Name of the True and Living God.”

I come to you, not in my Strength, but in the Name of Jesus – the Almighty God.

2. Then he said, “I am going to kill you.”

Wait a Minute! Goliath is standing there – a 9-feet tall guy. Weighing close to 600 Pounds without his armour. And there is an Armour Bearer, carrying a big shield in front of him.

Yet David said, “I am going to kill you” – Move, Mountain Move!

You don’t talk about how big the Mountain is; you talk to the Mountain about how big your God is.

That was the Problem with King Saul and his Army. They were saying; “the Man is so big, we can do nothing to him.”

While David said, yes he is big, I can just close my eyes; with my sling I’ll shoot at him and I will not miss him.

• I come to you in the Name of the Lord.
• I will kill you today.

1. “I will take your head off.

With what? David did not even have a sword in his hand. But he had the Sword in his mouth – Move, Mountain Move!

With the Heart you believe; with the mouth you speak (DMC NOTES: Romans 10:10)

“Today, I come to you in the Name is the Lord; Today, I will kill you; Today, I will take your head off.”

4. And I will feed all the birds of the air with your flesh.

Not only with your own flesh; but all of you are going down today.

The Greatest Confession of all is: Today, I come to you in the Name of the LORD.

• I come to you in the Name of the Lord;
• I will kill you
• I will take your head off.
• I will feed you and your Army to the birds and the beast of the field.

1. That all of you will know there is a GOD.

I come because there is a Need!

Remember, at the beginning David said: “Is there not a cause?” This guy is defiling the Army of the Lord – It is about God’s Name, His Glory, His Honour, His Reputation.

And as long as nobody is ready to do that, I am going to do it alone.

So let’s bring our Teaching today to a Conclusion:

Now watch this: Goliath is sitting down, saying “I am not going to waste my time with this little boy.”

As soon as David ran towards him, he is standing up now.

David took one stone, put it in his sling; that stone went out like a bullett, hit Goliaths right on the forehead, and he fell.

The Mountain was moved by what was in David’s Heart and by what he said.

Listen to this: Don’t just defeat your Giant without killing him, and cutting his head off. Because if you only defeat him there is the Possibility he might get up again.

David said, “today I will kill you, and then I am going to cut your head off.”

David had no sword but he spoke the Word.

When he saw Goliath hit the Ground, he ran towards him – Isn’t that interesting?

What happened to the guy who was carrying a Shield in front of Goliath – His Armour Bearer to Protect him?

David bypassed him; took the sword of Goliath, cut his head off; brought the head with him back from the Mountain.

So, my Message to you today is:

• Use the Mountain as your Trophy.
• Use the Giant as your Trophy.

So David brought the head of Goliath with him, to let everybody know, “God fought my battles” because:

• He knows my Heart; and He showed Himself Strong because my Heart is toward Him alone.
• And that the Word of God is in my mouth always.

The Giant fell, David killed him and destroyed him, by cutting his head off.

Now, let me talk to you for a few minutes: Move, Mountain Move.

Onward Christian Soldier, any Mountain that stops you from marching forward, you’ve got to take it out.

The only way to take it out is that your Heart has to be filled with the Word of God.

And that your mouth speaks only the Word of God.

Like the Centurion said: “I am a Soldier, I am a Man under Authority.”

David was under the Authority of his father, under the Authority of King Saul and he did what needs to be done.

So, let me ask you a Question:

• What is your Giant?
• What is your Mountain?

Is there Guilt?

Are there Worries?

Is there Fear?

Is there Discouragement?

Are there Loneliness, Anger, Divisions, Doubts, Failures, Hurts, Pain?

What is your Giant?

What is your Mountain?

Let me Pray with you!

CLOSING PRAYER

Father Lord, we Thank You for the Revelation.

We were taught about the Story of David and Goliath but the Eternal Truth behind it is this:

We are all Commandoes for Christ – Onward Christian Soldier.

We want to move when You move; but there are things standing in our way.

So, as a Man of God, I Stretch my hand towards you:

Whatever your Mountain is, you have to keep the Word of God in your Heart.

Speak the Word of God – Command Mountains to move!

Amen!

And let me Conclude with this:

• Do not just defeat your Giant.
• Kill him and take his head off;
• And put the Trophy in your Tent.

You are a Christian Soldier, take the Trophy with you in your Tent.

May God Bless You – Amen!

BIBLE TEXT: ESTHER 5: 1-3 AND EPHESIANS 4: 17-24

Lift up your hands and shout Hallelujah – Hallelujah!

Let’s Stand to our feet wherever you are:

Let’s Celebrate the Awesome God for bringing us together for another Congress and for seeing us through to the Momth of December.

We return all the Glory, the Honour and all the Adoration to Him.

Let us also Celebrate the Patriarch and Matriarch of this Great Commission – Daddy and Mummy GO.

Put your hands together for all their Labour of Love among all the Nations of the world – For depopulatiing the Kingdom of Darkness and establishing the Kingdom of God in different Nations of the world.

May God continue to Strengthen them, may God continue to Uphold them and may God continue to Honour them.

And all the Leaders of RCCG; we Celebrate each one of you.

I am going to read some Scriptures and then, we will Share what God has put in our Heart:

Esther 5:1-3:

1. Now it came to pass on the third day, that Esther put on her Royal Apparel, and stood in the Inner Court of the King’s house, over against the King’s house: and the King sat upon his Royal Throne in the Royal house, over against the gate of the house.
2. And it was so, when the King saw Esther the Queen standing in the Court, that she obtained favour in his sight: and the King held out to Esther the Golden Sceptre that was in his hand. So Esther drew near, and touched the top of the Sceptre.
3. Then said the King unto her, What wilt thou, Queen Esther? and what is thy request? it shall be even given thee to the half of the Kingdom.

Please, indulge me and let’s go to:

Ephesians 4:17-24:

17. This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind,
18. Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:
19. Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.
20. But ye have not so learned Christ;
21. If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus:
22. That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;
23. And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;
24. And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.

I will be speaking briefly on what I Titled: “UNSTOPPABLE”.

OPENING PRAYER

Father, Thank You for Your Word.

The Entrance of Your Word gives Life and it gives Understanding to the Simple.

The Hearts of Your People are opened to receive the Mysteries of the Kingdom.

Thank You for Clarity and Precision of Expression.

And we Covenant in advance that the Glory, the Honour and the Adoration be ascribed to You.

Everyone that believed, shout a “Loud Amen” – Amen!

Tell your Neighbour that: “You are Unstoppable”.

We live in a world that is Spirally downwards – The world is becoming more brutal and wicked and things are getting worst and worst.

And the Bible invariably tells us about that, that in the Last Days, Perilous Times shall come.

And it tells us in Isaiah 60: 1-3 – It says that a Believer should:

1. Arise, Shine; for thy Light is come, and the Glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.
2. For, behold, the Darkness shall cover the Earth, and Gross Darkness the People: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his Glory shall be seen upon thee.
3. And the Gentiles shall come to thy Light, and Kings to the Brightness of thy rising.

But if we must be Unstoppable and we must Shine in the midst of the Present Day Challenges; then you must be sure of your Identity!

Your Identity must never be rattled by the devil as you must know:

☆ Who you are.

☆ What you have.

☆ And the Authority you weird as a Christian.

Christianity is not what you put on and put off – It is a Lifestyle!

As a matter of fact, that is your Life – You don’t put it on on Sundays only or on Congress Days or on Convention Days and then after that, you put it off.

That is the bane of a lot of Christians – They put on their Christian Life in Church but after Service, anyhow Life. And yet they wondered how they are being defeated by the world?

Hear this: The Bible tells us in Genesis 1:26 that God made Man in His Own Image and Likeness.

Genesis 1:28 says that: He blessed us – That was the first Word of God to a Man that He made in His Image.

You carry God’s DNA (DMC NOTES: DNA means Deoxyribonucleic acid).

You are God’s Class as a Believer and so you cannot afford to live anyhow.

He Blessed them and said: Be Fruitful, Multiply, Replenish the Earth, Subdue the Earth and have Dominion over what He has Created.

Child of God, you are in God’s Agenda and you are Part of His Global Plan for Humanity.

He knew you before you were born – Jeremiah says: Before I formed you, I knew you, while you are still in your mother’s womb I Ordained you as a Prophet to the Nations (DMC NOTES: Jeremiah 1:5).

And it tells us in Romans 8:29- 30:

29. For whom He did foreknow, he also Predestinate to be conformed to the Image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many Brethren.
30. Moreover, whom He did Predestinate, them He also called, and whom He called, them He also Justified, and whom He Justified, them He also Glorified

You are Called for Glory and not for Shame, Disgrace, Reproach or Embarrassment.

Ephesians 1:4 says: According as He hath Chosen us in Him before the Foundation of the world, that we should be Holy and without Blame before Him in Love.

You are Part of His Agenda and not an Accident of Birth.

God is not Pushing Up with you, God is not ashamed of you and God is not disappointed in you.

He believed in who He has made you to be and knows that you are going to turn out the way He has designed.

The Challenge is you yourself:

☆ Do you know who He made you to be?

☆ Do you know whose Blood you carry?

☆ Do you understand the Image of Him who you carry?

Because if you are ignorant of what He has made you to be; you can never express it.

The world will trample upon you, the world will humiliate you and the world will disgrace you – Not because God has not made Provisions for you but because you are Ignorant.

For God’s People are destroyed for Lack of Knowledge – Hosea 4:6.

And they have gone into Captivity because of Ignorance – Isaiah 5:13.

Proverbs 11:9(b) says: But through Knowledge shall the Just be delivered.

That is why Paul all through his Letters was always: “Besieging” that they should know that I will not have you Ignorant of Spiritual Gifts – 1 Corinthians 12:1.

Please also know that in the Last Days, Perilous Times shall come – 2 Timothy 3:1.

And He Prays in Ephesians 1:17-23 that:

17. That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of Glory, may give unto you the Spirit of Wisdom and Revelation in the Knowledge of him:
18. The eyes of your Understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the Hope of his Calling, and what the riches of the Glory of his inheritance in the Saints,
19. And what is the exceeding Greatness of his Power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his Mighty Power,
20. Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the Heavenly Places,
21. Far above all Principality, and Power, and might, and Dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come:
22. And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the Church,
23. Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.

Knowledge! If you don’t know, the devil will make a mincemeat out of you.

These are not the days for you not to be established in your Identity.

My Bible Text says: Put on the New Man – Put it on and you don’t put if off (DMC NOTES: Ephesians 4:24).

When the devil comes against you, He is looking out for the New Man. He is not looking out for Adam but looking out for the New Man in Christ.

If any Man be in Christ, He is a Brand New Specie of Being that has never existed before.

Colossians 2:6-10 says:

6. As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him:
7. Rooted and built up in him, and stablished in the faith, as ye have been taught, abounding therein with Thanksgiving.
8. Beware lest any Man spoil you through Philosophy and vain deceit, after the Tradition of Men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
9. For in him dwelleth all the Fullness of the Godhead bodily.
10. And ye are Complete in him, which is the head of all Principality and Power:

You carry God wherever you are going!

☆ How can you be carrying God and the devil will be leading you? – That is an aberration.

☆ You are carrying God and you are being Stopped by the devil?

☆ You ate carrying God, seated with Him in Heavenly Places and the devil is telling you when to eat and when not to eat? Think of it!

Enough of comimg to Church without coming to learn something.

I am tired of People comimg to Church and they are learning Nothing.

There is Nothimg God wants to do again – The Scriptures tells us that all the Promises of God in Him are “Yea and Amen” (DMC NOTES: 2 Corinthians 1:20).

God has already said “Yes” to every Promises and Needs that you have – And so, Nothing is left out.

☆ When He gave you His Life, He gave you His all.

☆ And when He gave you the Holy Spirit, He gave you everything you need to actualize what He has given you.

Your Problem is Ignorance of Identity – And it is very Key that you know that!

If you read the New International Version (NIV) of Genesis 3:1; you will noticed that the devil will always come to Challenge your Identity.

DMC NOTES: Genesis 3:1 (NIV Version) says: Now the Serpent was more crafty than any of the wild animals the LORD God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God really say, ‘You must not eat from any tree in the Garden’?”

He came to Eve and said: “Did God really say …”

And the same Question comes to us everyday:

☆ God tells you something that He has done in your Life.

☆ He tells you what He has Called you to be

☆ He tells you the Power you weird.

☆ He tells you your Identity.

☆ He tells you your Authority.

☆ He tells you how to live your Life and be Victorious.

And the devil jumps on your Shoulder and ask you: “Did God really say that?”

And more often than not, many of us listen to that and we make God a liar!

All His Promises are “Yea and Amen” – Our Part is to say Amen!

I don’t know what you Need in this Congress:

I. Is it for you to be Healed? – God has already said Amen!

II. Is it for you to have a Child? – God has already said Amen!

III. Is it for your Promotion? – God has already said Amen!

IV. Is it that you want to build a House? – God has already said Amen!

V. Is it that you want to get Married? – God has already said Amen!

Whatever the Need is, Heaven has said Amen!

This issue of Identity was so critical that God has to ensure that before Jesus Christ went into the Ministry, it has to be Settled!

That was why He announced it to Heaven, Earth and Hell – This is my “Beloved Son” in whom I am well Pleased.

I am sure that the devil came to Jesus Christ as he came to Adam and Eve – If thou be the Son of God!

He has no New Tricks – It is still the same Old Tricks.

The devil goes about with Deception and Craftiness – And so, if you are Ignorant; you will always fall Prey to Him!

When He came to Jesus Christ, Jesus Christ told him that you are already late – I know my Identity.

I don’t take orders from you as my Father has already Spoken to me who I am.

You must know who you are in these days and hours – It is very Key!

These are not the days to Play Church and Play Games with your Christian Experience.

It is not the day to say that you are a Christian and your Life is not showing it.

Colossians 3:1-4:

1. If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.
2. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the Earth.
3. For ye are dead, and your Life is hid with Christ in God.
4. When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in Glory.

Back to the Story of Esther – You all know her Story and I don’t wish to bore you down with it.

The entire Jews were in a very Precarious situation.

According to the Laws that can never be Violated, it has been decreed that they were going to be killed – All the Jews.

And God, who is All-Knowing in advance has Strategically Positioned Esther there ahead of time.

But Esther had it twisted with her Identity.

And so Mordecai came to her and said: Esther, all yoir Brethren are in jeopardy and God has put you in a Position to ensure that we were all delivered.

Esther was giving Excuse – She says: Everyone knows in the Land that once a Decree goes, no one goes to the King.

Hear this: Esther wears three (3) Garments – Many atimes, we only knows one.

1. Her Slave Garment

Because in those days, Slaves have Garment.

That Slave Garment is what brought her into Captivity in the house of King Ahasuerus (DMC NOTES: Ahasuerus is a Persian Monarch)

But that Garment was Changed during the Beauty Pageant.

2. The Second Garment was the Beauty Garment.

And Esther was Glamorous with it – And that is what some of us do:

☆ We Celebrate our Position.

☆ We Celebrate what we have acquired.

☆ We Celebrate our Houses.

☆ We Celebrate our families.

And there is nothing wrong with that – But we do it at the detriment of the Purpose of God concerning our Life.

Her Life was in jeopardy as Esther was Celebrating Beauty Pageant Dress!

I won’t know how many of us here or reading now on the Label of DMC that are Celebrating their Beauty Pageant Garment – But they are about to die!

When you look at the Bible Text that we read very closely (DMC NOTES: Esther 5:1-3); the Bible told us that Esther Fasted and Prayed.

3. After she Fasted and Prayed, Esther put on the Third Garment – The Royal Apparel Garment.

She must have put off the Beauty Pageant Garment because that Garment cannot make her Unstoppable.

She put off the Beauty Garment and then put on the Royal Garment that Places her in Authority.

She was no longer seen as Esther, “The wife of the King” but as Esther, “The Queen”.

Authority has crept in and there was no way that the King can ever deny her.

King speaks to Queen – Esther was Queen and she has Rights.

Child of God; you have been defeated because you have removed your Royal Garment!

You are a Chosen Generation, a Royal Priesthood, a Holy Nation, a Peculiar Person; set aside to show forth the Praises of Him who has Called us out of Darkness into His Marvelous Light.

You are not just a Nobody and you are not a Pushover – You are a King and Queen!

Therefore, the time has come for Believers to begin to function as Kings and Queens.

The reason that you behaved anyhow is because you don’t know that you are a Royalty!

That is why you can mess up and it doesn’t matter to you – Royalty don’t behave anyhow:

☆ They don’t talk anyhow.

☆ They don’t dress anyhow.

Whatever they do, they are cautious of their Identity!

I am Closing with this Story:

A Young Man was going for an Interview and his father was very Influencier.

And he said to his father: I am going for this Interview, can you Please give me a Note to submit to the Interviewers.

Because you know that everyone knows you – Once I give your Note to them, my case is Settled.

The father said that I am not going to give you any Note.

And this Young Man was rattled and didn’t understand – Why should his father not give him Note? Did he not want me to Succeed?

And this Young Man was complaining and the father asked him – Have you Changed your name? And he said No.

He said, then go for the Interview.

And the Young Man was still confused and spoke to a friend of his.

He said see, I don’t understand this Man – I’m going for Interview, he is Influencier. I told him to give me Note and he said he won’t give me. He said to me whether I have Changed my name.

And the Person said to him: Are you Stupid? Don’t you understand what your father is telling you?

The father said: What do they call you?

He said Junior.

You carry my first name and you my Last name.

He said that unless you have Changed your name, go for the Interview.

And he went to the Interview – When they ask him his name, he just gave them.

Apparently, the father was owning fifty something plus Percent of that Company.

There was no Interview – All they needed was his name. They only want to know which area he will fit in and they fitted him in.

PROPHETIC DECLARATIONS

Have you Changed your father’s name?

If you haven’t Changed your father’s name, I cane to Congress 2024 to declare to you that:

Your Case is Settled

No Power of Darkness will stop you.

Your Story will Change.

In the Name of Jesus, Year 2024 will not end without your Testimony.

Your Year 2025 will be Glorious!

Somebody shout Hallelujah – Hallelujah!

CLOSING PRAYER

I speak the Blessings of Heaven, the Blessings of Earth and the Blessings of Deep over your Life.

Your Ground will Produce for you.

Heaven over you will never be shut.

Nothing will cut Short your Life.

You will get there.

I greet everyone in the Name that is above every other name.

I Thank God Almighty that we are alive to be a Part of another Holy Ghost Congress – Go ahead and give Him Praise!

I cannot Thank God enough for the Gift that our father is to the Body of Christ – A very Disntinguish Person, and Graced by God. You cannot follow Pastor Adeboye and miss Heaven.

Baba, we salute you – We are very Proud of you.

Many, many other Leaders in this Country continue to Thank God for your Life – You will live long and your voice will not be Silenced – Amen.

As your days are, so shall your Strength be – Amen!

And Mama (DMC NOTES: Referring to Pastor (Mrs) Folu Adeboye) – Let me Thank You.

We are Proud of you and Thank God for your Life.

May the Lord continue to Strengthen you – Amen!

Let me also Thank all the Leaders of RCCG and all the friends and Partners that are here tonight and for all those that have joined from all over the world Inclusive those reading now on the Label of DMC.

Our Bible Text this Evening is taking from 1 John 4:4 – And it reads:

1 John 4:4n- Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because Greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world.

Our Consideration in this first Session is: “GREATER IS HE THAT IS IN YOU”.

First, to whom was Apostle John addressing? He called them “Little Children”.

And this Term (Little Children) comes severally in his writings – He wrote from the Position of an Elder in the Body of Christ.

And he said that I am addressing you as my “Little Children”.

Now, who are they?

Galatians 3:26 says: You are all the Children of God by Faith in Christ.

So, John was addressing a Particular kind of People – Not everybody and not every Church Members.

Romans 8:16 talks of a People who the Spirit bears Witness within them that they are the Children of God.

Apparently and of course certainly, the Apostle John was addressing the Redeemed of the Lord and the Born Again Children of God.

Now, having established that; I want us to look at: “Who is this Greater One that is in you?’

In John 1: 1-5; John made us to know that He was there in the Beginning with God and that actually He was God.

And that all things were created by Him.

The Greater One that we are talking about created all things!

In 1 John 1:6; he said that in Him was Life and the Life was the Light of Men.

No Jesus, no Life! No Jesus, no Light!

The Apostle wrote further to the Colossae in Colossians 1: 16-17 – He said:

Colossians 1:16-17:

16. For by Him were all things created, that are in Heaven, and that are in Earth, visible and invisible, whether they be Thrones, or Dominions, or Principalities, or Powers: all things were created by Him, and for Him:
17. And He is before all things, and by Him all things consist.

DMC NOTES: Colossae was an Ancient City of Phrygia in Asia Minor, and one of the most celebrated Cities of Southern Anatolia (Modern Turkey). The Epistle to the Colossians, an early Christian Text which identifies its Author as Paul the Apostle, is addressed to the Church in Colossae. A significant City from the 5th Century BC onwards, it had dwindled in importance by the time of Paul, but was notable for the existence of its Local Angel cult. It was part of the Roman and Byzantine Province of Phrygia Pacatiana, before being destroyed in 1192/3 and its Population relocating to nearby Chonae.

The Bible says that God was in Christ – God entered His Son in reconciling the world to Himself.

This is a Mystery!

Big as God is:

☆ The Heavens cannot contain Him.

☆ The whole of the Earth is just His Footstool.

Yet, He can enter a Human Being.

… This is a very Deep Mystery!

You know, John 1:29 calls Him the Lamb of God.

Revelation 5:5 calls Him the Lion.

He is Strong enough to devour but He is also humble enough to offer Himself for Sacrifice – That’s the Greater One!

John 3:16 calls Him the Son of God who came to save Humanity.

So with all these, every things on Earth and in Heaven were made by Him for Him.

He can never be defeated – He is the Head of all Principalities and Power.

So, it is not Possible for a Lion to give birth to a goat.

The Point that I am making is that you are created to win and so, you will never fail anymore – Amen!

Now, let me talk a little bit about the Container and the Content.

Colossians 1:27 says: Christ in you.

In other words, there is a Container and there is a Content.

The Content is what gives full Expression to the Container.

What Value is a bottle of water if there is no water inside – It will be thrown into the trash.

So, this Greater One enters into a Man, gives him Relevance and makes him a Winner that can never be defeated.

So, Jesus the Greater One is inside of you and you can never be defeated.

Revelation 3:20 amazingly said: Behold I Stand at the door and I’m knocking.

As Greater and Powerful as He is, He does not break in – He will not violate your Rights.

I Stand at the door and I’m knocking – He said that if any Man hears my voice.

Wherever you are, just as you are hearing; you have a Choice – If the Greater One will manifest Greatness in your Life; you have a Choice and a Part to Play.

If any Man hears my voice and open the door – I will not Gate Crash as you just have to open the door.

I Pray that Someone here tonight or reading now on the Label of DMC will open the door and let Jesus Christ come in:

☆ Show Him your empty Refrigerator.

☆ Show Him the Rebellious Children.

☆ Show Him the Bedroom.

☆ Show Him the Kitchen.

He wants to come in.

He said that when you open the door, He said that I will not only come in but I will dine with You.

Can you imagine a Dinner with the Creator of Heaven and Earth? What a Great Privilege.

No one here tonight or reading now on the Label of DMC will have the excuse to go home or finished reading without inviting Jesus Christ to the areas of your Needs!

Until Hannah told God about her Needs – Hannah may have been going to Shiloh but until the day she cried and opened the door; the Miracle did not happen.

So, this is not just another Congress, you have the opportunity to open the door to the Greater One.

He does what you cannot do and He fights battles that you cannot fight.

When you allow Him in, you will never be defeated in Life.

Now, very very briefly as I round up; let me talk about the word: “Overcomer”.

John said that you have Overcome them.

You know, Jesus is aware of the Challenges in the world.

John 16:33 – And in the very words of Jesus Christ, He said: Those things I have spoken to you that in me you might have Peace.

He said that in the world out there, you shall have Tribulations, Trials, Temptations, Hunger, War, Violence, Rage, Economic Crunch, Rebellion – They are all out there.

Jesus said that but be of Good Cheer for I have overcome the world.

You know, Paul writing to the Romans in Romans 8: 35-37 – Paul said that: Who can separate us from the Love of Christ? He said that shall it be Tribulation or Distress or Persecution or Famine or Nakedness or Peril?

Terrible things that goes on – They are all happening.

In Romans 8:37; he said: Nay, nothing in all these things – Whatever the world has to offer; we are More Than Conqueror.

The Winner in you makes you Undefeatable.

☆ Even the dead carcass of a Lion is still frightening.

☆ Even if the Lion is sick, it is not for little Goats to scratch its head.

You have the Seed of God inside of you and so you can never loose in Life.

You know, 2 Corinthians 2:14; Paul said: “Thanks be to God”.

What a beautiful thing to wake up in the Morning without complaining – Then lift up your hands and be able to say: “Thanks be to God”.

Who always – Not a one-time thing or Per Chance; causes us to Triumph.

There is a Propelling Force inside of you – Indomitable and Undefeatable:

☆ No Witch can stop you.

☆ No Devil can stop you.

As you are Destined to win!

SPECIAL DECREES

From today, the String of Failure in your Life is broken.

From this Day, every Goliath that comes your way will fall before you,

I declare and decree that every Conflicts that have ravaged your Life are hereby resolved in your Favour.

What dominated your Life before, you will now dominate that thing.

From today, when you stand, Light will Shine, Darkness will bow, Occult will bow and Witches and Wizard will bow.

PERSONAL DECLARATIONS

Lift up your two hands and say – Remember that God told Israel that as you have spoken into my ears, so I will do:

I declare with my mouth that I am a Winner and I am not a Loser.

I declare with my mouth that I will never, never, never be defeated anymore.

In Jesus Name – Amen!

FINAL CLOSING PRAYER

May the Hands of the Almighty God be lowered upon you.

The Lord lift you up above every Obstacles.

The Lord go ahead of you and bring down all the Philistines, the Anakims and all the Jebusites around you.

And they will be brought down under Subjection.

In the Name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost.

OPENING PRAYER

Thank You Almighty Father; Thank You for this Congress; Thank You for being our God since January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October and November.

Thank You for the Wind of Change, Thank You for this Great Commission – The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG):

Thank You for every Ministers, every Single Missionary, every Single Parish across all the one hundred and ninety Plus Nations of the world.

Be thou Exalted Almighty God.

Thank You that there is a Youth Group, – There is a family that is continuous in this Assignment and Task that You have given us.

Father this Evening, use me as Your Weapon in the Mighty Name of Jesus.

Lord, every Single Heart that is here and willing to say Amen; Father Please let them receive their own Words in Jesus Name,

And at the end of it all, let our Testimonies be so loud that there will will be others sharing it on our behalf in Jesus Name.

For all those who are willing to say a “Proper Amen”; Father don’t let any of them miss Heaven in Jesus Name.

Thank You Almighty Father.

In Jesus Precious Almightt Name we have Prayed – Amen!

Please give Somebody a “Hi Five” and tell them that: “This is your Time and this is your Season”.

I want to Celebrate and Appreciate our fathers and mothers – Starting with our Daddy and Mummy GO in the House today.

Thank You for the opportunity and Thank You for the Privilege – We in the Youth Movements from the Paator Seed Family (PSF), to the National Young Adult and Youth Affairs (NYAYA) Movement and all the Youth Provinces across board – We do not take it for granted.

God bless you and keep you fur us.

And for all our fathers and mothers – If you are not there, there won’t be anything for us to stand on and build on.

Please I Celebrate you all as all the rest of the Congregation will do as well.

I am Nervous a little bit because I am sandwiched between Reverend Joe Olaiya, Mummy GO and Daddy GO – All in one Evening.

So, I’m sweating but I know that it is the Anointing that is comimg out.

2 Timothy 1:6:

Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the Gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands.

Exodus 7:6-10:

6. And Moses and Aaron did as the LORD Commanded them, so did they.
7. And Moses was fourscore years old, and Aaron fourscore and three years old, when they spake unto Pharaoh.
8. And the LORD spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,
9. When Pharaoh shall speak unto you, saying, Shew a Miracle for you: then thou shalt say unto Aaron, Take thy rod, and cast it before Pharaoh, and it shall become a serpent.
10. And Moses and Aaron went in unto Pharaoh, and they did so as the LORD had Commanded: and Aaron cast down his rod before Pharaoh, and before his Servants, and it became a serpent.

To my Beloved Pastors, Ministers and Children of God; wherever you are; Please focus on the Assignment that God has given you and focus on the duties that God has put into your hands.

Stop looking at Somebody else Grass to try and see why it is becoming so Green.

Because the Truth is: It is Aaron’s rod that worked here.

Moses has his own rod, Aaron has his own rod.

Look at your rod and make sure that you Polished it because your own rod too is of the same Value as that of Moses’ rod.

Stop looking at Somebody else Parish and just focusing on theirs – Focus on your own.

In RCCG Youth Province (YP) 1; we have roughly about fifty (50) or fifty one (51) Parishes.

If I am only in your Church on a Sunday, then I am not doing the Assignment that God has given me.

Because in The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Calendar; between now and August Next Year (2025); I am meant to have at least covered up almost all the fifty one (51) Parishes.

We have done about nine (9) so far.

So, every Single Sunday; you are meant to focus on the Assignment that God has put into your hands.

Stop running everywhere when the world that you have, you have not done half of it.

Tell your Neighbour: Focus, don’t leave your Father’s House when the roof is leaking – Fix it!

Your own Grass too can be Greener!

The Bible made us to know in Joel 2: 7-8 – It says:

Joel 2:7-8:

7. They shall run like Mighty Men; they shall climb the wall like Men of war; and they shall march every one on his ways, and they shall not break their ranks:
8. Neither shall one thrust another; they shall walk every one in his path: and when they fall upon the sword, they shall not be wounded.

In this Great Mission that we are in – Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG); if only we will Unite, we can achieve absolutely anything.

The honest Truth is that God said that I will come and reward you – My Reward is coming from Heaven!

But the Reward will be given to what Assignment Heaven has already told you to do and not when you are doing Someone else Assignment.

1 Peter 5:8 (Amplified Bible Version):

Be sober, well balanced and Self-Disciplined, be alert and cautious at all times. That enemy of yours, the devil, prowls around like a roaring Lion, fiercely hungry, seeking someone to devour.

The devil is like a Lion – Whether you allow him to devour you is hundred Percent up to you!

Our father-in-the-Lord was speaking once and he mentioned a Story:

He said that a Young Man was being trained to be an Hunter.

And then after all the Trainings and all the Preparations; it was now time for that Young Man to go hunting himself – And he remembered everything that he was trained to do.

At the middle of the Training, the Elder that was Training him said:

☆ If a Lion attacks you from the front in the Middle of your Hunting, he said that you will shoot directly at that Lion.

☆ He also said that if the same Lion attacks you from behind; he says that you will turn around and shoot at that same Lion.

☆ He says that if the Lion attacks you from your Left or to your Right; he says that you will turn either side and shout at the same Lion.

☆ But he said that in case there is a time in which you are overwhelmed – The attacks are coming from the front, from the back and then from both sides; he says that you will shout with a loud voice as loud as you can and ask for help because there is a chance that there are other Hunters around.

The Bible makes it clear in Romans 10:13 – It says that: Whosoever calls upon the Name of the Lord shall be saved.

So therefore, jump up on your feet very quickly – We are going to Pray like Youths:

PRAYER NO 1:

When the attack (Lion) comes from the front:

☆ That Lion can be likened to a Goliath trying to take away your Future.

You are going to say: Father, every Lions looking like a Goliath attacking me from the front – Trying to take away my Destiny and Future; I shoot them down in the Mighty Name of Jesus.

Take a bold step forward and shoot them down.

Thank You Almighty Father.

In Jesus Precious Almighty Name we have Prayed – Amen.

PRAYER NO 2:

Now, you are going to turn around because now that attack is comimg from behind.

The attack comimg from behind might be:

☆ From every Single Enemy that is trying to attack your Destiny.

☆ Generational Curses that has been following you everywhere and trying to take you back into Slavery.

☆ Everywhere that you have received Promotions that they are trying to Pull you back.

☆ Those that are Smiling at you in your Presence but lying against you or speaking ill of you in your Absence.

You will go ahead now and say: My Father, every attacks from behind, every Lions from behind; I shoot them down in the Mighty Name of Jesus.

Go ahead Soldiers of Christ.

Thank You Father.

In Jesus Precious Almighty Name we have Prayed – Amen!

PRAYER NO 3:

Now, we are looking at attacks that can come from the Left or Right.

So hold the Person to your Left and Right – But remember that we don’t break the ranks.

Every attacks that is coming from the Left or Righy might be likened to that which happened in Exodus 17: 13-16.

When the Amelekites came to attack the Children of God – They attacked them on their weakest side.

Remember that your rivals are on the sides – So, if you don’t have anybody covering you on the sides, it is easy for Someone to attack you.

☆ Those Enemies might be coming with a Pretence that they want to trickle you but it is a lie – They are trying to gain access to organs that are of Value to your Left or Right.

☆ Those attacks might be from Social Media

☆ Or from different Nations that you are in.

☆ It may be from the New Offices that you have not even Settled down yet in but they know that you don’t know what is happening there.

☆ They are trying to take Advantage of the fact that you are New in this Marriage.

Go ahead and say: Father, every attacks from the sides, help me Neutralise and Eliminate them.

Everyone that is trying to Paralyse me or trying to stop me from getting to the Promise Land; Father shoot them down in the Mighty Name of Jesus.

Go ahead and cry to the Lord!

In Jesus Precious Almighty Name we have Prayed – Amen!

PRAYER NO 4:

This is when you feel Completely overwhelmed:

☆ The attack is comimg from the front, back and sides.

☆ You have been shooting from all angles and your Armour and Strength running Low and you are running out of Time.

☆ And even the Weapons are Completely emptying out.

You need Someone that will come and just create an Explosion that will Completely render all the attacks from all angles Completely Neutralised.

That Person is the One bearing the Name Jesus!

Philippians 2: 10-11 says that at the Name of Jesus, every knees should bow.

☆ Every attacks from the front will bow.

☆ Every attacks from behind will bow.

☆ Every attacks from the sides will bow.

Go ahead and shout that Name in every Directions you can go – JESUS!!!

In Jesus Precious Almighty Name we have Prayed – Amen.

Let’s quickly go ahead and make some Declarations:

I don’t know if you have a Smart Phone – You ate going to record it so that there will be Evidence of the Declarations you are going to make.

Bring out your Smart Phone and switch it on to the Video Part of it. Reverse it and look at it.

This is the Declarations and you will repeat after me – You say that:

As an Onward Christian Soldier and a Soldier of Christ:

Great Things will I do for God.

Great Things will I do for His Kingdom

God will take me Upwards and never Backward.

He will bless me – It will show Upwards as He blesses me Inwards.

I will move Forward and I will not go Backward.

Every awkward situations that I might have found myself, I come out of it now.

My Rewards I will not miss here on Earth and in Heaven, I will receive an Award.

In the Mighty Name of Jesus.

TOPIC: PRAISE YE THE LORD

BIBLE TEXT: PSALM 149: 1-9

Praise the Lord – Hallelujah!

We want to Thank God for this awesome moments.

I want to Specially appreciate my father and mother in the Lord who has watched over my Spiritual Cradle bed since I gave my Life to Jesus – Daddy and Mummy Adeboye; we appreciate ypu.

I want to Prostrate to say: Father in Heaven will accept even this Appreciation of your Goodness and your Gentleness that has brought many of us into Limelight in the Ministry.

We Thank God for the Bible Text that was read to us by Mummy GO – Psalm 149: 1-9.

But I will just read Verses 1 and 9 – About Soldiers that has fought battles and they came back to have a Thanksgiving Service.

The Verses says:

Psalms 149:1-9:

1. Praise ye the LORD. Sing unto the LORD a New Song, and his Praise in the Congregation of Saints.
2. Let Israel rejoice in him that made him: let the children of Zion be Joyful in their King.
3. Let them Praise his Name in the dance: let them sing Praises unto him with the timbrel and harp.
4. For the LORD taketh Pleasure in his People: he will beautify the Meek with Salvation.
5. Let the Saints be Joyful in Glory: let them sing aloud upon their beds.
6. Let the High Praises of God be in their mouth, and a twoedged sword in their hand;
7. To execute Vengeance upon the Heathen, and Punishments upon the People;
8. To bind their Kings with chains, and their Nobles with fetters of iron;
9. To execute upon them the Judgment written: this Honour have all his Saints. Praise ye the LORD.

We may not be able to appreciate this if we have not gone to the battlefield.

It is never a Great Sailor who never saw the Tempest; but when you have Passed through the battlefield and you are able to return home to Testify of your Experience in Spiritual Warfare, then you are able to say: “Praise Ye The Lord”.

Then your Song will Change and you will be able to sing to the Glory of God.

There were twelve thousand (12,000) Soldiers of old in the days of Moses and Joshua that were able to say exactly: “Praise Ye The Lord”.

In Numbers 31:48-50; the Bible says:

48. And the Officers which were over thousands of the Host, the Captains of thousands, and Captains of hundreds, came near unto Moses:
49. And they said unto Moses, Thy Servants have taken the sum of the Men of war which are under our Charge, and there lacketh not one man of us.
50. We have therefore brought an Oblation for the LORD, what every Man hath gotten, of Jewels of Gold, Chains, and Bracelets, Rings, Earrings, and Tablets, to make an Atonement for our Souls before the LORD.

… These were twelve thousand (12,000) Men – They went to battle and they were able to come back and they Testify that not one Soul was lost.

We have just fought a battle and we have just won – And so, we are here to appreciate God today!

I Pray that you will be Victorious in this Spiritual Warfare in the Mighty Name of Jesus – Amen!

Understanding that a Soldier is a Person that is hired by the State to defend the Sovereignty of the Country.

And so, a Soldier should be ready to die – You are hired to kill or be killed.

And that is what it takes even to be a Christian Soldier!

I Pray that you will always be Victorious and have occasions to do Thanksgiving in the Name of Jesus – Amen!

But there is a difference between that Soldier of the world who for his daily bread went to take a job.

A Christian Soldier is Conscripted Individual into the Army of the Lord.

DMC NOTES: Conscripted means “Enlisted” typically into the Armed Services.

John 15:16 says: You have not Chosen Him. He has Chosen you, He has Ordained you that you should go forth and bring forth fruits and that your fruits should remain; that whatsoever you will ask of your Father, He may give give it to you.

So, your receiving anything from the Father is on the Premise of your Commitment to the cause of Christ and doing this work because you are Conscripted into His Army already.

So, the Faithfulness of a Christian Soldier Supercedes the Loyalty demanded of a Worldly Soldier!

1 Corinthians 4:2 says: It is required of a Steward that a Man be found Faithful in our Services to the Lord.

I have told them in my Local Church (DMC NOTES: RCCG Pavilion of Redemption, Sugarland Texas USA) that I don’t want any “Loyal Person” around me because Loyal People are dangerous People.

The inclination of a Loyal Soldier is its generality is based on his Personal Interest and not in the Interest of the Person to whom he or she is Loyal to.

But the Bible talks about Faithfulness:

A Faithful Person stands and is adherent to the Principles that sustains the System.

So, a Loyal Person can defect if he or she has a better opportunity.

The Bible didn’t talk to us to be Loyal Soldiers, but to be Faithful Soldiers of the Lord Jesus Christ – DMC NOTES: 1 Timothy 1: 1-7.

1 Corinthians 10:12 says: Let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.

We need to understand in the Book of Numbers 22: 7-13 – Balaam was a reputable Prophet of his days and I want to call him a Soldier in his own days.

Balaam was a Man who was in Communication with God. And God will visit him and give him “Classified Information” about what he ought to do.

Unfortunately, this Man derailed.

Because you see, many People wants to operate in the Permissive Will of God.

There is a difference between the Permissive Will of God and the Perfect Will of God.

God did not formally or intentionally approved that this Man should go with the Elders of Moab and Midian.

But because of his Personal Inclination and Interest, God allowed him to operate in the Permissive Will.

And unfortunately, the Bible tells us in Numbers 31:8 – And they slew the Kings of Midian beside the rest of them that were slain.

And the latter Part of it says that: Balaam also, the son of Beor they slew with sword.

May you not be slain in the Mighty Name of Jesus – Amen!

Samson was a Good Man until he messed up!

You will not mess up in the Mighty Nane of Jesus Christ – Amen!

If I may just do a little Analysis of that Text – DMC NOTES: Numbers 31:2:

God spake to Moses saying: Avenge the Children of Israel of the Midianites.

And if you look at the Scriptures, you will come to see in the lower Part of it – DMC NOTES: Numbers 31:3:

And Moses spake unto the People saying, Arm some of yourselves unto the war and let them go against the Midianites and avenge the Lord of Midian.

The Instructions of God – God gave him the liberty to make Assessment of the situation and it was to avenge the Children of Israel of the Midianites.

And Moses is now saying: You are as a Christian Soldier, if I put it that way, avenge the Lord of the Midians.

So, that means that your Services to the Lord is not in your Personal Interest; it is not with Interior Motives, but it is with the Intention of Blessing the Lord!

So, the Action of a Christian Soldier must be taken in the Interest of the Lord!

Twelve thousand (12,000) Men went to battle and they are giving Testimony to say that: Thy Servant have taken the sum of the Men of war which are under our Charge and there lacketh not one Man of us.

WHAT WAS THE SECRET OF THEIR VICTORY?

1. Courage and Resilience.
2. They got their Bearing Right.
3. They are Calculated, Deliberate and Precise before getting into Motion.

☆ They were in Motion in the Right Direction.

4. High Velocity speeds up the time to Doom and Boom.

☆ Speeding in a wrong Direction is an Exercise in futility and frustration.

5. They Prepared for war at the time of Peace.

☆ Lack of adequate Preparation may result in becoming a Casualty or Prisoner of war or Victim of Captivity.

You should understand that battles are won at the time of Peace.

To understand this, we need to have this in our Mind:

1. We have just had a Momentary Victory.

We had the Congress – Everything had gone well.

This is a Momentary Victory.

Momentary Victory should be an Inspiration for the Ultimate Victory!

Our Ultimate Victory is to make it to Heaven!

2. Our Individual Efficiency accounts for our overall Effectiveness.

So, you cannot afford to be a Weakling.

3. The Strength of any Chain is determined by its Weakest Point

Galatians 6: 1-2 says: If anyone of us be overtaken in a fault; we that are Upright or Spiritual should correct such a Person with the Spirit of Weakness.

And then Proverbs 27:17 says: Iron sharpeneth iron; so a Man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.

You can’t afford to be a Weakling in the System!

4. We can’t afford to accommodate or Celebrate Mediocrity or Criminality.
5. We should have the Understanding that if our Subordinates are Criminals; everyone of us that are in Leadership are Potential or Prospective Prisoners.

1 Corinthians 9:27; Apostle Paul said that he put his body under.

2 Timothy 2:4 says: No Man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this Life, that he may Please him who hath Chosen him to be a Soldier.

I want to believe that Somebody under the Sound of my voice or reading now on the Label of DMC as Christian Soldiers will be able to return from the battle saying that we may be twelve thousand (12,000); but not one of us was lost.

May you not be lost in the Mighty Name of Jesus – Amen!

HOW THEN SHOULD YOU CELEBRATE YOUR VICTORY?

1. Acknowledge that Victory is of the Lord.
2. Return all the Glory to the Lord.
3. Surrender your Possessions to the Lord.
4. Be Completely yielded and Submissive to Divine dictates.

The Bible says in Numbers 31:50: We have therefore brought an oblation for the Lord, what every Man hath gotten of Jewels of Gold, Chains and Bracelers, Rings, Earrings and Tablets, to make an Atonement for our Souls before the Lord.

May you be able to bring everything to the Presence of the Lord at every moment of your Voctory in Jesus Name – Amen!

Because you will need whatever you had given back.

When the Day of Adversity came, David went back to the Temple and he was able to get his sword which he used to kill Goliath – DMC NOTES: 1 Samuel 21: 8-9.

If he didn’t put it in the Temple, he would not be able to get it back on the day of Adversity!

May we be Victorious at the end of it all and be counted worthy to spend Eternity in Heaven in Jesus Mighty Name – Amen!

Let us bow down our head to Pray:

And tell the Lord that we Thank You for the Victory – We have gone to battle and we have all returned with not one single Soul lost.

Father, we Thank You and we just Pray that you will sustain and uphold us in this race Oh Lord to the end.

That in Eternity in Heaven, not one of us will be lost in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ.

Thank You Father for hearing us.

In Jesus Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen!
