OPENING PRAYER
The Father of all fathers, the Ancient of Days, the One who remains forever Young.
Glory be to Your Holy Name.
Thank You for what You have done for us, Thank You for the Present one, and Thank You in Advance for what You will do this Weekend.
Father, Please accept our Thanks in Jesus Name.
It is written Father that: He sent sent His Words and it healed them and deliver them from all their Oppressions (DMC NOTES: Psalm 107:20).
Tonight Father, deliver the Oppressed and Set the Captives Free.
At the end of the Day, let Your Name be Glorified.
In Jesus Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen.
Let Somebody shout Hallelujah – Hallelujah!
Well shake hands with one (1) or two (2) People and say: “Good Evening Soldiers of Christ”.
Amd then you may Please be seated – God Bless You.
It is a Great Pleasure to see you again this Year.
And if the Lord tarries, Next Year you will be more than this – Amen.

How many Overcomers are here Tonight?
Let me hear you shout Hallelujah – Hallelujah!
The Bible says clearly: The most Prominent Characteristics of a Young Person is Strength.
And as we heard during the Holy Communion Service; to be a Gate Protector, you need Strength.

And now God is saying that you are Strong. Not only that you are Strong but that you are Overcomers.
Now, if God says that you are Strong, then you are Strong.
And in the Nane that is above every other name, Weakness will stay away from you – Amen.
Weakness Physical, Weakness Mental, Weakness Spiritual will be a Stranger to you – Amen.
Why? Because God calls things as being as though they were.
And whatever He says they are, that is what they will be.
This Convention is the Convention of the Strong Ones and the Overcomers.
The Question now is: What will you use your Strength for?
Will you use your Strength to bear the Burdens of others?
You see, there are several Gates:
- I know the Speakers would have given you all manners of definitions but there is a Gate of Health.
As a Protector of Gates, God expects you to use your Strength to defend the Gate of Good Health.
In Mark 2: 1-12; the Bible tells us of four (4) Strong Men who brought a Man to see Jesus Christ.
When the crowd won’t allow them to get close, they Climbed the roof.
And as it is usual with Young People, they applied the Principle that the Kingdom of God suffers Violence (DMC NOTES: Matthew 11:12) – They broke the roof and drop the Sick Fellow.
Ahd after the Fellow got healed, the Bible didn’t tell us who fix the roof.
But these four (4) Strong Men found out that the Gate of Healing for this their friend has been blocked.
And so they did everything to make sure that they broke open the Gate and brought the Fellow to Jesus.
God expects you to bring the Sick to Him.
He expects you to do everything to make sure that Nobody Particularly your friends is denied access to Good Health.
Some of you remembered the Testimony of a Man who was Paralysed and his friends brought him to the Redemption Camp – There were two (2) of them that brought him.
And when they got here and the crowd was much and there was no way they could carry the Man all the way to the front; they dropped him at the back and said: Look, we have done our best o, when the Program is over, we will come and pick you from here. And they left him.
And the Word of God came from the Altar here because the Man said: God, you can see me o! They have dropped me here.
And God said: Somebody is here saying God see me, they have dropped me here.
And God says: Tell the Fellow Yes I have seen you.
And immediately that he heard the Word – Just like one of the Testimonies I heard here Last Night: The moment the Word came, the bone of Somebody that was displaced came back to Position.
As soon as the Man heard from the back – Yes I have seen you; suddenly he became Whole.
When the Program was over and his friends went there to pick him from where they dropped him – Ha, we left him here.
He tapped them from behind – Are you looking for me?
Now the Word of God is coming to Somebody here Tonight or as you are reading now on the Label of DMC: Every Sickness, every Disease that you brought to this Convention is going to the Ground right now – Amen!
That is one of the things that you are supposed to use your Strength for.
In Mark 16: 17-18; one of the things that God expects you to use your Strength for is to lay hands in the Sick and get them recovered.
Open the Gate of Healing and Health to People.
In John 11: 39-43; when Jesus Christ stood by the Tomb of Lazarus, it is Young Men that He Commanded to roll away the Stone.
- God expects you to use your Strength to open the Gates of Life to those who are dead.
What do we do by that?
You are to use your Strength and your Energy to bring Baccksliders back to the Kingdom of God.
You say: Sir, how does that open the Gate of Life?
You see, Proverbs 21:16 says: Anybody who departs from the way of Righteousness will be abiding in the Congregation of the Dead.
Backsliders are Living Dead – They are alive Physically but Dead Spiritually.
And you know many of them.
One of your Assignments is to go and get them back to Life, bring them out of the dead and open the Gate of Life to them.
It is only after the Strong Men and Women had already removed the Stone that Jesus Christ Commanded Lazarus to come forth.
There are many of your friends who has backsliden and they are waiting for you to come to them and say: “Come back to Life”.
Once upon a time in this Nation, there are four (4) girls that were very, very close to my wife – Everybody who might not know the details call them Members of the family.
When we have Convention and everybody had gone home; they will wait at times three (3) or four (4) days helping Mummy to tidy up things.
Then one of them for one reason or the other decided to marry outside the Church.
I mean that they were so close to the family that one of them came and said: Daddy, I am about to marry.
And I said when? She said such and such a time – I said that I am sorry o, that Period I am booked.
She said then the Marriage will wait.
I said from my Program, I am not going to be free until Next Year – She said Next Year is Next Year.
… That is how close they are – She said: You give me the Date.
But then one of them said: Daddy, I am going to get married.
When? Such and such a time – Ha, what a Pity; I won’t be able to attend because I am booked already.
She said that it doesn’t matter and immediately I knew that something has gone wrong.
To cut a long Story short, she got married, left the Church and Years Passed (of course we didn’t see her again) and things has gone terribly bad for her.
One day my wife decided that wherever this girl is, I will go and look for her.
When she saw my wife coming to see her, after a lot of Problems; she wept so terribly.
To cut long Story short – Herself, the Husband who took her away and the children were all restored.
There are several People that you know who are Backsliden – It is your Strength that is required to go and find out where they are and bring them out of the Tomb into Life.
Use your Strength to open the Gate of Life to Someone who has been Dead.
The Lord will restore them if only you will Play your Part.
- Then you know very well that after Lazarus came out of the Tomb in John 11:44; he was still bound.
And Jesus Christ Commanded the same Young Man that rolled away the Stone to loose him and let him go.
There is a Gate called the Gate of Freedom.
There are many People who are alive but are in Bondage – And you know some of them.
The Almighty God expects you to use your Strength to open the Gate of Freedom to these People.
And the way to do it is by Introducing them to the One who is called “The Truth”.
In John 8:32; the Bible says that: You shall know the Truth and the Truth shall make you Free.
In your Universities, you know those who are in Secret Societies – You know them.
Whether you believed it or not; many of them were deceived into that Bondage.
Many of them didn’t want to become Members of Cults – It was Previous Members who enticed them and they want to be Free but they are afraid.
They need Strong People like you to show them the way out – Come to Jesus and He will set you Free.
You remembered some of you: There was a time Cults became such a nuisance in the Universities – When Parents can no longer be sure that if they send their children to the University, the children will come back alive.
Things got so bad like that.
When I cried to God; God said that you are asking me to do something? I said Yes Lord. He said you do something.
And that is when we began to hold Holy Ghost Services in the Universities at very great risk to our lives.
I remembered very well the day we went to the one in Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) Ile Ife – They wrote on our Vehicle with Blood: We don’t want you here.
But by the time that the Program was over, many of them were weeping and rushing out to Surrender their lives to Jesus Christ – Hundreds of them.
We were warned and I was confronted – Somebody told me: Sir, even if you want to risk your own Life, don’t risk the Life of those People who has come with you.
You came to our Territory and you want to hold a Program during our own time.
By our time he means at Night.
Don’t you know what you are trying to do?
And I told them: The Earth is the Lord’s and the Fullness thereof (DMC NOTES: Psalm 24:1).
And my God is the Light (DMC NOTES: 1 John 1:5).
Darkness cannot overcome it.
God needs your Strength to attack the Gates of the Enemies so that those who are in Bondage can be Set Free.
When we went to hold the same Program at the University of Ibadan – The devil knew that we came for war.
I mean that it rained cat and dog that Night but we didn’t move.
And things had gone so bad at the time that I was talking about that Students took the chair that the Vice Chancellor was sitting on from him – This Program is for us and not for the Vice Chancellor. It is to us that Pastor Adeboye had come.
By the Morning, hundreds of them had come saying: No more to the devil, now we want to belong to Jesus Christ.
For weeks, those who didn’t Surrender tried to torment those who Surrendered.
But by the Grace of God: Whosoever the Son shall Set Free, shall be Set Free indeed (DMC NOTES: John 8:36).
So, we are not just here for the RCCG International Youth Convention 2025 for fun; we are here to force open the Gates of Freedom of Life and for other Gates that is needed to be forced open.
- You are supposed to leave here becoming Protectors of Gates – Meaning to get involved in one-on-one Evangelism.
Many of those People who are in Captivity, they may not want to attend a Program like this because they will be afraid of other Members of the Cult who might see them.
But you can talk to them one-on-one and the moment you get them committed to Jesus Christ – The One who can set Free, will give the Boldness to Stand to them.
Or you can use your Strength like in Luke 5: 1-7 – When Peter caught so much fish that his boat could not contain them. And some People had to helped him to bring in the fishes.
It takes Strength to bring that kind of fishes into the two (2) boats.
We need Young People like you and I for Massive Evangelism!
The first Big Crusade that we held in Lagos which we entitled: “The Battle of the Gods”; I can only rely on Young People like myself (That is about 30 years ago) to do the running around, the Preparations and the Advertisements.
And if I talk about 30 years ago, that means that at that time, myself wasn’t that Old – I was 53 years.
But I couldn’t Possibly be asking People who were 70 years Old or near 70 years to come and help me arrange chairs, do this and do that.
Many atimes, when we want to go round the Streets in Advertisement, we can’t take Old Men with us – We need Young People.
Anytime that there will be any Major Programs, it is you that we are relying on.
We Thank God for the Elders, they have already done their own Part – They are the Youths of those days (Wonderful People).
But do you know what? In the early days of this Campground, we had no money for the things that you enjoyed now – Convention is coming we will go to the bush to fetch Firewood, we do the cooking ourselves and we wash the Plates ourselves.
Now Thank God that we now have Gas Cookers, we have this and we have that.
Thank God that during the Last Convention, we could hire a little bit less than 10,000 Caterers to come and help us cook.
… In those days, we did everything ourselves.
We are supposed to use our Strength to call in the fish.
We Thank God for those of you who are here but if you had done a little more of Advertising; by now you should fill this Auditorium.
And I know that you will fill it by Next Year.
You know that when I was Younger, I was constantly thinking of how to win Souls:
I. One of the Clubs that we formed then was called “Fishers of Men”.
There we entered into a Covenant with God that if a Day Passes without having us Witnessing to one Soul, we will not Sleep.
So that in those days, if you are about to lie down to Sleep on your bed and you remembered that you have not yet Witnessed to anybody that day; you get up and go outside your house. The first Fellow that comes by is in trouble because unless this Fellow will hear the Gospel, I can’t go back to Sleep.
So as soon as you see Somebody coming, you say: Good Evening sir, I have a Message for you.
He says: Message from who? Oh, Message from God.
Leave me alone, I am tired as I have been working since Morning.
It’s a very Simple Message sir – God just want me to tell you that He loves you and that the danger ahead of you, He is ready to remove it.
Do you think that I am lying by saying that? No!
And so, we all became Prophets.
What kind of Prophet are you? Gospel Speakers.
When you say that the danger infront of you, God is willing to remove it.
Every Sinner is in danger and heading towards Hell – Right or Wrong?
When we say: God is ready to remove it; all we are saying is that when you give your Life to Jesus Christ, the danger of Hell is gone.
II. We also have those of us who go to do Evangelism in the Market Place.
I taught my boys that you go to the Market, you put some Money in your Pocket and you Stand infront of whoever is selling and say: How much is your Plantain? And she said so much.
And you said: Okay, I am going to buy some things but I have something that I want to sell too and what I want to sell will not cost you anything.
She said what is it? Then you begin Preaching – The Salvation of your Soul is what I have brought to you
We use all manners of Methods when we were Younger.
III. I was talking to some of my Children not too long ago – I said in those days when we Go-A-Fishing, in the Morning we will gather together, have a little Bible Study and then we will go from House to House in the Village where we are having the Go-A-Fishing Preaching the Gospel and inviting them to the Crusade Ground that will hold in the Evening.
And when it is almost time for the Crusade and the Stage is Set and so on; we the Young ones will take bottles, buckets, drums or anything that can make a Noise and then we will go round the Town and begin to beat those things and running as we are beating the drums.
“O ti de o, e wa lo wo” – Meaning: He has come o, come and see him).
And you know Village People – When suddenly they see everybody running in one direction; they don’t know where you are running to or where you are running from, they will just run after you.
By the time that they get to where we are taking them, they are already at the Crusade Ground.
These are the things that we did when we were Young!
Ask some of those Elders – They will tell you that I taught them all manners of tricks just to win Souls into the Kingdom.
IV. There are some of them who are here that we met once a Month.
And when we gather together, what I told them is: “Go to any Town, there is always Somebody there willing to open his door to be used as a Bible Study Center”.
If you get to one of those Houses and you said: “I bring Peace o”.
And they asked you what is it that you want? I just want to use your Varendar so that People can gather to hear the Word of God. And you know that where People are Gathering to hear the Word of God, God Himself will bless the People.
I said that if Somebody said: No, I don’t want you and I don’t know you; go to another House.
And in many, many of the Places where we went, I told them that if you can’t find anywhere at all, then go to the Palace – That’s the Truth.
Many, many of the little Centers that we started in those days; when we meet at the end of the Month, everybody will be giving Reports of what God did.
I went to such and such a Town, do you know that the first Fellow that I saw received me with Open hands?
Many of such Centers are Regional Headquarters Today.
… We used our Strength added to the little Wisdom God had given to our Leader.
And that is how we began to spread.
V. That is why you find out that many of our Churches, they may be small but they are almost everywhere.
And People laugh at us in those days – They said that: “Where 2 or 3 People are Gathered together” is what we are calling a Church.
But I kept on telling them: I know that we are small but the Proverb says: “Little drops of water and little grains of sand; when they combined, they make a Mighty Ocean and a Great Land”.
I don’t mind being called names because I know where I am going.
I don’t mind being ridiculed but those who are ridiculing me then are Praising me now.
I heard one of the People saying not too long ago on the Internet: Pastor Adeboye, we were Laughing at him then but he saw the Future.
He saw a time when Petrol will be scarce or expensive and so he said that his Denomination should build Churches every five five Minutes.
He then said, so nowadays, our Members are saying: Sorry Pastor, we are not coming to your Church because there is a Redeem Church nearby that I can easily trek to.
And when you gathered together my 2 or 3 People Churches, during the Last RCCG 73rd Annual Convention 2025, the Redemption Camp cannot contain them.
And you haven’t seen anything yet.
If you will go from here and begin to use your Strength to gather People together, the result will be so massive.
VI. What we now called Digging Deep (DMC NOTES: Bible Study); started in my Office at the University of Lagos.
I want to use the opportunity that God had given me to win Soul – So, what did I do?
Because of my Position in the University:
☆ I have a Cleaner that must come to clean my Office.
☆ I have a Messenger attached to the Department – Of course I can call him and send him on errands.
☆ I have a Typist – If I want to type anything, I can take it to her to type.
These Set of People cannot say No to me because they know that if I make a Report against them, they will loose their job.
There is a Break time in the University in those days when everybody will be allowed to rest for a while.
So I called them together – During the Break, you must come to my Office for 15 Minutes.
And when they come, what do I do? I teach them the Bible.
But little by little, because they begin to enjoy it. And they began to see that when they have Problem, they can come to me and I will Pray for them and so on; the News began to spread.
So Messengers, Cleaners and Typists from all the Departments in the Faculty you will find them in my Offuce during Break time.
A time came in the Faculty of Science that if you go to any Office and you said that you want to type something between 12.00pm to 12.30pm; you will not find them.
Where are they? They are in Pastor Adeboye’s Office.
Because my Office no longer could contain us, we moved to one of the Lecture Rooms.
My Head of Department – Late Professor Chike Obi had to call me. And he said: Adeboye and I said Yes sir. We know that you are a Pastor; I said Yes sir. But let these People do their works.
After they finished for the day, you can hold your Bible Study – I said Yes sir.
I told the People and they said that they will wait after Closing so that we can have our Bible Study everyday.
- You are my Children – Like father like Children.
And I have always told you that you are going to be Greater than 1.
And you have the Equipment that I didn’t have then:
- There were no Mobile Phones then but now you can text People.
- And you can use whatever Methods – You can bombard the Internet with little little Sermons.
All these People who are writing rubbish about us, we can also bombard the Internet that People will have no room to read their own.
Do you know that my son was telling me that there are at least two (2) People well known to him who don’t do any other thing than to say something bad about me, about him or about the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) everyday.
You know that the more you put it on YouTube, the more YouTube will Pay you.
Now, if we bombard the Internet with Messages of Salvation, Healing, Deliverance, Victory or Joy; if they are writing evil things about us and we are showing them Good News of Beautiful Testimonies that God is doing in our Churches, and of all the Testimonies we hear from Day to Day; we will Silence these People or at least reduce their Effectiveness.
For Example, during the Last RCCG 73rd Annual Convention 2025:
With all the Miracles, Signs and Wonders, some People didn’t see anything Good at all except that I ask for Money to develop the Redemption Camp.
They didn’t see the thousands of Barren Women who came with their babies.
They didn’t see because that is not what they wanted to see.
They didn’t see the thousands of Souls that were Healed.
They didn’t see the hundreds of thousands of Little Children etc.
But you are there – You saw them, you have the Videos; then you can put them on Social Media.
You are supposed to defend the Gates of your father.
Like I mentioned during the RCCG September 2025 Holy Ghost Service, there are certain things that I can’t be doing and there are some things that I shouldn’t be replying to at all.
Why? Infra dignitatem.
DMC NOTES: The Latin Phrase meaning “Below your Dignity” is infra dignitatem. This Phrase is commonly shortened in English to “infra dig”, referring to something considered beneath one’s Social Position, Status, or Self-Respect.
I will give you an Example of what it means to be infra dignitatem:
We bought a Piece of Land and we had already built on it and suddenly one Councillor decided that he was going to Challenge us.
He came and said: If we don’t Pay so much Extra, he will show me that he is in Charge of the Council – A Big Councillor. He said that he will fight us.
I looked at him – People should not hear that Pastor Adeboye is fighting a Councillor.
So I said: Please sir, don’t let us quarrel – How much more do you want? He mentioned it and I said alright sir.
So while he was happy, I decided to put through a Phone Call to the Governor of that State.
And the Governor said: Ha Daddy, Thank You for calling me.
I put the Phone Call on Speaker so that he can hear the Voice of the Governor.
The Governor said: Is there any Problem? I said none sir. I just want to introduce you to one of the Councillors here.
The Councillor looked at me and said: Hey!
And the Governor said: Which Councillor is that? This Fellow in such and such a Council and his name is so and so.
Ha! I don’t know any Councillor by that name – I only know the Chairman. But is there any Problem sir?
I said No, I just want you to know that he is a very zealous Young Man and I want you to take Note of his name.
Because how do I tell the Governor that I am fighting with a Councillor that the Governor does not even know his name?
That is what is called an infra dignitatem.
But any of you can deal with him – You will be dealing with him almost at the same level.
So you are a Councillor? Yes, what about that?
The Fellow you are looking at – I am from the Faculty of Law of the Redeemer’s University; so let’s talk Councillor.
- You are to use your Strength to keep the Gates of Heaven Open by Prayers.
You know that the Bible says in 1 Thessalonians 5:17 – It says: Pray without ceasing.
It is not easy for an Old Man to Pray without ceasing.
You get to a certain Age that you can’t do what you used to do.
It is not your fault but it is because your body can’t do it anymore.
When I joined The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG); way back in 1973, we used to have All Night Prayer Meeting on Friday Night. And the Elders will join those of us who are the Young ones and we will begin Praying around 8.00pm and by 12.00 Midnight, the Elders will round up the Prayer and then begin to go.
Then those of us who are the Younger ones we will say Thank God they are going and we will say that it is now time to Pray.
And we will begin – Some of us removing our Shirts.
Many atimes, we were still there till 4.00am enjoying ourselves.
And in case you don’t believe me, ask Pastor David Kuo – He was the Leader of the Youth in the 1970’s.
I wish i could ask him: Oga, will you like to join me Pray from 8.00pm to 4.00am?
I think he will say: Papa, if you don’t mind me sitting down.
But in those days, we won’t just be Praying, we will be Marching around the Church, Singing along and Commanding Walls to fall.
And we will be sweating and we will be enjoying it – The Strength is there.
I remembered not long ago, I was in the Prayer Room during the just concluded RCCG Annual Convention 2025. And because the Night before I had Prayed almost All Night.
And so during the day, I started Praying again and it was approaching 2.00pm and I fell asleep. When I woke up, it was raining – Oh Lord, have Mercy!
I slept off and the devil discovered that I slept off and so quickly tried to push in the Rain.
And I heard someone saying: Why is it Raining? Is Daddy GO not supposed to be in the Prayer Room?
I said tell the Fellow that I fell asleep.
And because the Bible did say that they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their Strength (DMC NOTES: Isaiah 40: 31).
And falling asleep renew the Strength.
But I had Prayed thirty six (36) hours Nonstop before – In 1981, I gathered my friends together and we Prayed from Morning till Night, from Night to Morning and from Morning till Night. And the only time that we have a Break was when we give 10 Minutes to go to the Toilet and then we quickly come back to continue.
Now the same Young Man that did 36 hours Nonstop got into the Prayer Room during the RCCG Annual Convention 2025 and fell asleep.
Not my fault – When the father grows Old, the children are supposed to take over.
By now, they should even be saying don’t worry yourself – Just sit down, relax as you have so many of us your children who will fill in the Gap.
There are a lot of People saying: Leave the rest for us.
And I look around and say: From the look of things?
I was looking at you on the Television when they ask you to Pray – When the Preacher was talking about the Cry of a Prayer Warrior, the dance of a Prayer Warrior.
And they are showing me some People sitting down and looking – I mean that they are not even opening their mouth
The Bible says that God says: Heaven is my Throne (DMC NOTES: Isaiah 66:1).
He needs some People who will be bombarding Heaven with Prayers and the People that will have Strength – That is you.
I keep telling you whether the devil likes it or not, you are going to be Greater than I – Amen.
But do you know what that means? It simply means that where I stop is where you will start
When I tell some of my friends that during the RCCG Annual Convention 2025, I don’t know how many cows we have Slaughtered – They were so many that at a Stage, the cow boys could no longer function because they have been killing cows 24/7 and their legs become swollen that they had to look for replacement for them.
I said that of those cows killed, do you know that I didn’t eat a Piece out of it?
Why? Somebody must be in the Gap.
I Thank God for the Prayer Warriors and I Thank God for Chain Praying but you know that there is this Yoruba Proverb that says: “No matter how rich you are, when you have to go to the Toilet, you can’t send your Servant”.
When the Annual Convention goes very well – When there are thousands of children and none of them get missing and when there are Millions of People and Nobody trampled on another; we will all rejoice and take all the Glory
Let one little thing go wrong, they won’t mention your name – We all know who will take the blame.
But that is why you are there:
- To lift up my hands.
- To Stand at the Gate.
The Bible says that: Blessed is the Man who has many children because they will be there to defend him at the Gate (DMC NOTES: Psalm 127:5).
So, how many of you will want to say to God: Lord, help me to be a Gate Protector for my father.
Alright, you are going to stand on your feet as I Pray for you.
FINAL FATHER’S BLESSINGS
My Father and my God, I want to Thank You very much for this Wonderful Children of Yours.
I can never Thank You enough for making me so fortunate to have these ones as my Children.
I know that from now on, if any Enemies try to attack us, You are ready to deal with them.
Father, accept our Thanks in Jesus Name.
Father, the Strength You have given, and the fact that You have made them Overcimers; let the Strength be used for Your Glory.
They will be Praying now my Father and my God, like they have never Prayed before; even if it’s only for 30 Minutes that they will be storming the Gate of Hell and they will be telling the devil that you can no longer touch our father and you cannot mess around with The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG):
Father, as they cry to You, grant their Request(s).
And I decree that anything that can slow them down, and anything that will cause the devil to frighten them, destroy it Tonight.
Thank You for everything that You have already done for me but Please do Greater Things for them.
And whatever may be their Personal Needs, meet the Needs Tonight in Jesus Name.
